It is officially October now, which means we are back with the Halloween decorations map. This map is carefully curated and kept up to date.
As I say each year this is a community project, and every little bit of help helps! If you visit a place on this map and there is no decorations please let us know, that is how we keep this up to date each year. If you see somewhere that is worthy of being on the map (usually an incredible individual house or a cluster of really good houses, we do not include haunts as those have specific dates and times) please let us know so it can be added. This is a living breathing map that changes from year to year. If your city has a contest on their social media share that here so we can update the map. I try every year to get to all the places on the map but it is not possible for any one person to do it, so the map is only as good as the community support that has created and helped keep it going each year. Thank you to all of you who have participated!
An Anaheim man was charged Tuesday with murder after allegedly stabbing another man to death when he found him in bed with his wife, according to the Orange County District Attorneyâs Office.
Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, faces one felony count of murder and a sentencing enhancement for personally using a weapon in connection with the death of 28-year-old Nicholas Garcia.
Prosecutors said Pinedalopez returned home early from work and discovered Garcia wearing only his underwear in bed with his wife and their two young children.
On Oct. 24, Anaheim police responded to a report of a stabbing at the residence on North Pine Street near W. Wilhelmina Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victimâs body inside the bedroom he shared with his wife and their 2-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son, prosecutors said.Â
According to police, Pinedalopez used a pocketknife in the attack. Pinedalopez's wife and children were not injured.
Pinedalopez faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in prison if convicted on all counts.Â
He is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 27.
This happened at Arlington D[r/fairview](r/fairview), 10/27/26 around 4pm. My guess the car that ran the red light was texting/looking at phone đ¤ˇđťââď¸. Hope it reaches the right person if she needs the footage
My partner and I ended up here after driving around to three furniture outlets today. We were starving, so we stopped for pho and bĂĄnh mĂŹ.
I got the pork bĂĄnh mĂŹ, and the marinated pork was probably the best Iâve had in a bĂĄnh mĂŹ since moving to California. My partnerâs pho broth was so good he picked up the bowl to drink it. Really good Thai tea too.
Everything tasted fresh, the portions were huge, and the prices were reasonable. That combination is getting harder to find.
Also, I appreciated that they had real photos of their food on the walls instead of AI images. Small thing, but I liked it.
Itâs at 4949 La Palma Ave, La Palma, CA 90623, if anyone nearby wants to try it.
This is the very first time I got so many different random msgs from different numbers asking me to vote on a regular basis. Is it just me or you guys are running into the same issue? I never left my phone number out to be contacted to vote or anything. How did they get my number? From the county? Idk how to stop this..
Please join us on Tuesday, October 27th from 5-7 pm PST to discuss Ranked Choice Voting and Irvine's Measure D proposal). Participating in answering your questions will be members of Voter Choice Irvine and CalRCV (California Ranked Choice Voting Coalition).
The intent is to engage with the broader Orange County community with an informational, policy-focused discussion grounded in published research and the experience of jurisdictions that use RCV.
Topics we're glad to cover:
What Irvine's Measure D would do, and how it would work for Irvine voters
How instant runoff voting (aka: RCV) works, including how ballots are counted
Which California cities and counties use RCV, and how implementation has gone
The history of RCV in the U.S. and abroad
Research on RCV's effects, including voter turnout, ballot errors, candidate behavior, representation, and cost
Arguments for and against RCV, including common criticisms
Any other RCV questions, including ones that are critical of it
Feel free to comment your questions in advance, or during the AMA 2-hour duration itself.
Thank you!

I see people on here ask about local MTG meetups and thought this would be a great place to start!
On November 15th, we will be hosting Spells & Slices from 6-10PM at Wowee Zowee Pizza in Tustin. They are an awesome family-owned restaurant with some of the best pizza in OC (sourdough crust, hell yeah).
This will be a COMMANDER night. There are 16 seats available. This is a FREE EVENT with the option to reserve a pod spot. However, reservations are NOT required and first come, first served for non-reserved seats.
DM us here or on Instagram (@swampwalkmtg) if you have any questions.
Whether youâre a battle-scarred spellcaster or new to the hobby, we welcome you.
This Commander event is 18+. Hope to see ya there.
Anyone seen any frauditors around OC lately? I realized recently that there's been a noticeable dropoff in people reporting sightings of them on Facebook, and city police departments putting out "don't let these assholes bait you" PSAs. I did a little searching, and it seems like YouTube might have de-monetized a bunch of their channels and caused many of them to give up their trolling. I'm still trying to verify that but if it's true, 1. Hallelujah and 2. just goes to show what they're really in it for. đ
E: Further researches have turned up this Youtube channel with some music that's clearly AI made, but flipping hilarious. I feel sooo conflicted for liking it.
I was driving home when some grown dude was standing outside his house pointing a green laser at cars passing by. He pointed it through my truckâs rear windows, and I could see the green light hitting my steering wheel and sun visor while I was driving.
I caught him on my dashcam and reported it to the police because it happened down the street from my house, and my family has to drive through there to get home.
Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? What ended up happening?
I feel stupid even asking the question but has anyone seen more of a large kind of mosquito in their house instead of the ankle biters that are hard to see?
I just killed a big one on my babyâs room, and thatâs not even the first one Iâve come across in my house or outside. I know the past few years weâve been dealing with the ankle biters, but these seem new. I wouldnât have expected these in California.
We recently learned about the dog park in Santa Ana (at Centennial Park off Fairview) and went to check it out for our girlâs honest review. We really loved it.
Pros: It looked really new and clean. They have 3 areas for small, medium and large dogs. They have the weight recommendations for each. They had an agility course in the big dog area. They had seating with back support. Lots of available parking. Felt safe. Grass was abundant (not a lot of dirt).
Cons: Not much shade. There are a lot of small trees which Iâm guessing theyâll give a lot of shade once matured. They only have water (for the dogs) available outside the fencing. Thereâs a rule that no toys are allowed. I feel like tennis balls and similar should be allowed.
I want to take some classes for things like pottery, art, voice lessons, beginner acting, sewing etc just for fun. I'm 35 and there seems to be more single class/week options for the emeritus program.
Is it actually mostly seniors? I don't want to invade their space but I also would feel out of place with mostly 18 year olds in the regular classes. Has anyone taken any emeritus courses at ivc, saddleback, occ etc?

Photos look weird (possibly cool but canât tell) and I canât tell if the pit is separate tickets or first come. Iâm not a young man anymore but I have tickets for a punk band and I definitely donât want to sit down while I watch.
Either way, is it a cool vibe? Does it sound good?
Greetings! We are Widowsun, based in Costa Mesa, and weâre searching for a keyboardist to complete our line up. Our influences come from bands like Pedro the Lion, Thrice, Baroness, Holy Fawn, Spirit Wad, etc. Weâd prefer someone who is very experienced with synthesizers and understands texture well. Age 30s - 40s, maybe late 20s. Be chill; someone who we can friends with. We care a lot about having fun and donât take ourselves too seriously. If any of this tickles your fancy, feel free to dm on here or Instagram.
For a myriad of reasons, I am in the market for a new tattoo artist. Iâd prefer a woman bc I want to support women-owned businesses (even if itâs just self employed). Iâve been going to the same guy since 2014 so I really donât know the tattoo scene in OC outside of his shop.
