Got cut off by 3 old people making a left when I had the right away to make a right. There’s no left turns right now on 36th onto wall yet there was an abundance of idiots holding up traffic to make a left turn. Is there stupid juice in the tap water here?

Like the title says; I am stumped. I just moved from Portland, OR. I have 17ish years of kitchen experience but want to find a non-corporate kitchen to work in. Be it dishwasher, prep or line. Indeed, ksl, Facebook have turned up nothing so far. is in person networking just how it is here?

Press Release
For Immediate Release 10/26/2026
Indivisible Ogden
Local community Activist, David Belnap, was arrested on Sunday for placing signs identifying the locations of ALPR AI surveillance cameras, known commonly under the brand 'Flock'. Information regarding surveillance technology such as location and use of cameras should be freely available to the public. Mr. Belnap, by placing signs, ones that do not obstruct the use of the camera, was providing information which should already be accessible to the public.
Hundreds of AI Surveillance ALPR cameras are operated by agencies across Weber County, such as Weber County Sheriff, various municipalities, and private businesses. These cameras are leased from companies including Flock, Motorola, Axon, and others. There is no official registry of ALPR camera locations, with community advocates struggling to get information agency by agency. Significant gaps exist within Utah's ALPR policy as an ever interconnected world provides more avenues for abuse and misuse. According to information released by the Utah Civic Compact, the Weber County Sheriff’s ALPR data was searched five million times, with 96% of those searches coming from outside of Utah, with a shocking 125,719 from federal agencies. Utah law offers some protections against agency misuse of this technology, but none that limit how the companies themselves use the data analysed from ALPR systems.
Local community activists were notified of sheriff deputies harassing Mr. Belnap while placing these non-obstructing markers identifying the location of AI surveillance cameras. Activists arrived at the location to find Mr. Belnap's car being towed and Mr. Belnap arrested. The County has not yet made bail available to Mr Belnap.
We demand that the Sheriff department not arrest people who simply want to clearly mark when civil rights are being endangered by privatized surveillance.
We are asking community members to speak out against injustice. Contact the Weber County Sheriff about the arrest of Mr. Belnap, your state representative to ask for clear policy governing ALPR companies and agencies, and your mayor or city councilor about not spending tax dollars on AI surveillance technology.
On Monday, Oct. 26th, join us at 4 p.m. to stand in solidarity for our valued colleague. We will gather by the road that leaves the jail, on the NW corner of 12th and Depot Drive (700 West 12th Street), to demand his release!
Then join us on TUESDAY, Oct. 27th, at 6:00 p.m. for a Community Forum on FLOCK cameras, at Pleasant Valley Library, 5568 S. Adams Ave., Washington Terrace, in the Black Box Theatre.,
Have you ever wanted to hear about the ghosts who roam the Union Station? Join the Weber County Heritage Foundation for an evening of history and haunts! This Friday October 30th!
The proceeds of the ticket sales are gonna to a headstone for little Frances Violet Williams who was found in a trunk at the station in 1913.

September was the biggest month on record for ICE flights through Utah.
One man who was arrested by ICE in Ogden joked that the chains around his hands, feet and waist made him feel as important as the drug lord El Chapo.

\* Please don't drive in the bus-only lanes on Harrison Boulevard.
\* DO NOT PASS the OGX UTA BUS at the Kiesel Avenue Station by the movie theaters. ----> I've had near misses of pedestrians, my riders or otherwise, nearly get hit because some stupid arsehole was too impatient for the bus to wrap up loading and dropping off passengers.
\* If a bus has its turn signal on, it is common courtesy to yield to the bus (other states make it illegal to fail to yield to public transit bus re-entering traffic).
Thank you!

UPDATE: he has been found!!!
Hi everyone, my dog just ran away, this is very unlike him. He knows to stay on our porch when we’re outside but my husband was bringing the trash up to the front and said he was gone within 30 seconds of not having eyes on him. We live along 27th St. and Harrison. He is very skittish of new people. He has a collar on in his micro chipped, but if you can just be on the lookout, we feel like he will probably be in someone’s yard or walking along the sidewalk behind Harrison blvd going west as he’s very scared of the road. His name is Morty.

PLEASE SHOW UP!
On 10/22 during a traffic stop by a Weber Co. SherIff, ICE was called. Pablo and Javiera were taken into custody, leaving their 2-month-old baby without their parents. They are being told they will be deported Sunday. We cannot stand by while a family is torn apart.
Show up and say no to separating families.

Hey all, I am looking for trails that are still doable and accessible around this time of year with minimal risk of running into snow/ice. I don’t have snow shoes, spikes, etc. What are some good options? I love long hikes, adventuring off the beaten path, scrambling, great views, I’m down for basically anything that won’t be getting snow soon. Thanks in advance! New to Ogden so I only know waterfall canyon
