Something, must be new, or unknowingly turned on, but if I draw a shape, and press with my pencil, it fills in the shape with a color.
How/where do I turn this off

Does anyone know how to open up two tabs with the new update? I used to be able to swipe inside from the left to see my recent notes/files and now when I swipe in from the left it brings me to the home page. I want to be able to open up multiple tabs so I can toggle between the two, but I'm not seeing that option. Even in the homepage, when I click and hold down on a file I'm not seeing the option to open it on the bottom/right side of the screen like I used to

I am waiting for the calendar integration to iPad, but when I emailed as there a confusion about it as it posted on their website as if the feature is fully out, but was told that it's not fully accessible to everyone, and there was no date on when it would be. It seems that a lot of people already have the feature. Does anyone know how long it will take for it to come to all iPads? Thanks!

I created a file with a scanned document that was then converted into a PDF. I want the ability to add another scanned document to the same document at a different time. Is this possible?

So I am notability android user . I don't know how it came out to be . But yesss I faced issue while writing like the pen strokes are not as smooth as it should be and compare to other note taking app . Calligraphy pen is not there . Even you can see some issues in the image itself . I am hoping to see improvements more in this app for android users

I have over 2,000 notes. I am currently studying for my medical boards and am scheduled to be moved to Cloud 6 days before my exam. How do I prevent this migration? I cannot let this happen. If it happens, it seems like I will lose over 1,300 notes? PLEASE HELP

Hi, I recently downloaded notability on my Windows laptop, but I can't seem to find the same setting to change the default text size/font on the laptop... Is there anyway to do this?

I would really appreciate it it an option can be added to the squeeze gesture: When I initiate the squeeze gesture to switch to eraser, I don't want to keep holding my Apple Pencil to retain the eraser; instead, I would prefer a second squeeze to revert me back to my previous pen tool, so that I can erase contents in a relaxed state rather than holding the squeeze gesture constantly.

I used to have a Pro Account and switched back to classic some time ago. Also I activated Notability Cloud, these things may have to do with my problem?

Up until March I used to backup my notes to One Drive. This is still activated in my settings. When I look at One Drive, there are only files up until March this year. As a test I deleted the backup and switched it on and off. Now there are no notability files in One Drive anymore? How do I get it to sync? Thank you!

Would it be possible to add an option to change the tools in the squeeze pallette? I never use the pencil but use the laser pointer all the time so it would be really useful to be able to have the pointer in the squeeze pallette instead of the pencil !

Would it be possible to make a tool that we can take in-app screenshots with, copy the image and paste it onto the document. Without having the image saved to our device.

Would be great for used such as separating questions/information on worksheets.

I believe Goodnotes also has a similar feature. Scribble to erase would be great too, thank you!

Can the quizzes go back to being ~ 200 complex questions? Those really helped me learn the conte t better than these truncated ones.

has anyone noticed that the shapes drawing has gotten so bad? like i draw shapes and unless its 100% perfect that it doesn’t register and draws them funky. its also so off center now, and its impossible to use my fingers to turn them. please fix it

Notability automatically updated two days ago, and it seemed fine when I was still running iOS 26. I updated to iOS 27.0.1 yesterday, and today I've twice now had Notability show me a partially open note with a spinning blue circle that doesn't go away. Force quitting the app and reopening it gets the program working again, but the note is gone. Can't find it in search, and it's not listed under "recently deleted," either. I do not have sync enabled with either iCloud or Notability's own service.

Posting as a warning to others: I'm not sure if you'll be 100% safe with this, but don't shift to another program or luck your screen with a note open. Back out to your directory of notes before doing any of those things.

If anyone knows a way to get the notes back, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I've read the horror stories of note loss before, but in all my 15 or so years of using Notability it never happened to me. I'm not sure I'll be able to trust the app again after today.
