Watching for hours

Mom says, “Who wants popcorn?!”

Half a cup of kernels goes in the top. Half a stick of butter goes into that weird little metal cave on the side.

Flip the switch and wait for that loud whirring sound as the machine warms up. Then dump in the kernels and watch them spin around and around until they start popping and pouring out the top, one after another, until just a few stubborn kernels are left rattling around inside.

By now, the butter has mostly melted, so Mom grabs that little black handle, lifts out the metal cup, and pours the melted butter (and a few unmelted chunks) all over the popcorn.

A little salt, a big bowl, and we’re ready for movie night.

They usually were GIFs and they were so funny.

Idk I feel like they had their own personality whereas now we have the same standard homogeneous emojis just doesn't feel the same.

I liked video games a lot more than studying.

Here's the site so far and it's official subreddit, r/LearnedWrong.

(The site was inspired by this viral website idea that got 175k upvotes on r/whitepeopletwitter? Nobody actually made AND sustained it until me! I guess other people were put off by comments complaining that it couldn't be inclusive...)

Remember when Pluto was still a planet? Or when Czechoslovakia was still an official country? Remember when your mom told you to not swim right after eating or else you'd get cramps and drown?

Check out the "Everyday Life" section for those old wives' tales and urban legends a lot of us, including myself, were taught as kids by family or friends. Writing that section triggered a lot of nostalgia for the early 2000s when I was spending a lot of time with extended family who taught me half those things.

Everybody was taught different things depending on what community/region you're from, so the site’s content may not reflect what YOU were actually taught. If it’s featured, it’s because it was reported as taught by multiple individuals or is documented as a commonly taught myth.

I have owned this bathrobe for about 25 years my mother brought it home one day as a gift with some other memorabilia that I have no idea what happened too

I was wearing this today and thought I'm going to Google this thing to see what comes up apparently it is a collectable there was an eBay list for 600$ for one not sure I would sell it for that as I do wear it often and like and for how often I have worn it it is still in great shape

Well I just thought I would share and see what you thought of it, I can't be the only one here that was a fan of the show back in the 90s

G-Force: Guardians of Space is a 1987 animated television series that serves as the second English-language adaptation of the Japanese anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. The group consists of five bird-themed teenage champions who defend Earth from evil forces like Galactor:

From Vuarnet and Bugle Boy to that iconic Esprit sweatshirt, the 80s really had a distinct vibe. If you had to pick just one of these to wear for a week straight back in 1985, which one are you rocking?

Been a while since I seen this. And yes, it is a Halloween movie. Also surprised, they were allowed to use the droid, remincent from Star Wars.

I read Lucas was impressed with what the director could do with the small budget. So he allowed him to do a documentary about Star Wars or something along those lines.
