I accidentally bought these instead of the regular chocolate ones and i have no idea what to do with them.

I don't rly like how it tastes, very artificial so any recipes that mellow the flavour out maybe?

Open to any and all ideas thanks!

Do people tend to throw food away as soon as it passes the date on the package?

A friend and I were talking about food waste recently and yogurt came up. They mentioned throwing some away because the best before date had passed by a couple of days which got me thinking about how people understand these labels. I know food safety is important and nobody wants to take unnecessary risks. At the same time, best before dates are generally about quality rather than safety, so some foods may still be fine to eat past that date if they've been stored properly.

I wonder how often food gets tossed simply because people aren't sure what the dates mean. Have you noticed this happening at home or with people you know? It seems like a small thing to understand that could make a difference in how much food we waste.

Lamb broth

I bagged this reduced lamb breast on the bone yesterday. I browned it off and then made stock on low all day in the slow cooker with carrot and onion ends and skins, celery tops and fennel fronds (all from the freezer) plus some garlic, a bay leaf and some rosemary. I picked the meat off and left it and the stock overnight in the fridge. Took the fat layer off this morning and made amazing broth with 200g of pearl barley and fresh vegetables. What a bargain! Made around 12 big portions.

Ask NSLB What can I do with bell peppers?

Hi everyone and happy fall! I was wondering if anyone had any recipes or storage tips for green and yellow bell peppers. I went to the food pantry and got a bunch but it’s more than two people can eat fast enough and I want to lessen our food waste. Any help is greatly appreciated! πŸ˜ŒπŸ«‘πŸ˜Œ

Edit:
Wow! You guys are all awesome, I didn’t know how far these little guys went and thanks to everyone I now have a whole menu for these. Thank you everyone! πŸ–€πŸ«‘
