eBook Nook simple touch app

Hi everyone! I recently made a small e-reader application inspired by CrossPoint for the Xteink e-reader, but designed specifically for the Nook Simple Touch. I built it with Claude, and the whole process took roughly 10 minutes.
I’m just sharing it because I thought the result was pretty interesting. It has a clean and simple UI, along with features that aren’t always available in e-readers, such as reading-time tracking, reading statistics, progress information, and basic reading analytics.
It’s still a small project, but I’m quite happy with how it turned out, especially considering how quickly it was developed.

this is really awesome. Is there a way for us to install it and give it a try? Are you going to do any updates with it?

You’ll be able to try it a little later. I still need to finish a few things, but I’m hoping to release a working build by the end of this week or early next week.
As for updates, I’ll probably keep working on it for a while and release updates if I run into any bugs or have new features to add or improve

If you wanna be a beta tester write me in dm

Is it the BNRV300 original Nook Simple Touch? I have the BNRV350 Simple Touch w/ Glowlight from the same generation.

Yes. My app should work on your device too

Reminds me of The Phoenix Project, but cleaner. Would be interested to give this a try if it works well!

This is great. I still have a fondness for my Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight. But man, the reader doesn't even recognize when you've finished a book.

Looking forward to see where your project goes.

Always nice to see new stuff for the simple touch. Was my first ever ereader. Still have it. And it still works well.

I’m very interested. I have three Nook Simple Touch devices. They all still work and are usable, but unfortunately, they freeze quite often while reading. When this happens, they are difficult to restart.

Perhaps your software could fix this.

Looking forward to it...
