Now I'll first say I don't fully hate them, they are a cool idea for the most part, but I REALLY hate how FOMO they are. Like the whole "do this within this time period or you'll never be able to get these items ever" stuff games do nowadays really makes me angry.

"Oh, we made this content, but you can only play it if you do it before this point in time or else it's gone forever along with the unique items it gives!"

I haven't been able to play for awhile, and now I can't play the current expedition, with twelve hours before it gets thrown in the trash, because the game keeps crashing. It really makes me want to never touch the game again.

Figured I’d show some gameplay. Playing on iPhone 16e. You can definitely see some jitters, but they don’t happen consistently. Also, my phone heated up but definitely not to the extent I thought it would. The game feels manageable and satisfying, and the controls are really smooth.

I legit have to shove them into a room physically separated from the rest of the ship by a catwalk just so I can walk around my freighter without plugging my ears.

anyway, just started playing a few days ago and I think I have to build my base here now.

Trick or Treat Town is open! The lights are on, the pumpkins have been carved, little gek run through the streets with baskets full of sweets, and yards are decorated with sights and frights. What will you see? What will you take home? And what is lurking around the next corner?

Console users, setting “prioritize resolution” in Display & Graphics seems to reduce crashes, we are all console builders and have found it to be mostly stable with resolution prioritized.

Sentinels can get feisty on this planet, we recommend turning ground combat to NONE when visiting if possible.

Our crew will be hanging out here handing out treats on Halloween night, and off and on leading up to it!

My theory is that the update has probably something to do with Halloween. We already had something like that. Cursed update. A wilted flower directly suggests decay, withering or something dying. Decaying planets, dead planets horror themed etc. Possible update Name The wilt, Decay, Requiem fits nice wit the emoji and Halloween

Currently building a base on an comet fragment, after finding a comfy system with TWO orange planets! I claimed the space station. It is...you guessed it... orange.

What if Laylaps was just the beginning?

I’d love to see reprogrammed Sentinels become more than companions. What if we could free other Sentinels, help them gain independence, and eventually discover small communities of free Sentinels across the galaxies?

They could develop their own identity, build settlements, and interact with Travellers and other lifeforms. No army, no endless combat — just a new artificial species finding its place in the universe.

And Laylaps? We could finally give him our own name! 😊

I think this would fit beautifully with No Man’s Sky’s themes of exploration, freedom and discovery. 🖖

On iPhone 16e. Some jitters and frame drops especially when loading, and graphics are definitely mobile-tier. Otherwise, everything runs smoothly, all the controls are intuitive and the gameplay loop seems much the same.

Always had a fascination with ocean exploration and ships like the Titanic. I figured why not make a base built like a ship on the stormiest deep sea ocean planet I've found with MASSIVE waves.
