so i took a break from the game and also swapped to linux on my PC. can i still save edit to get the rewards ive missed? is it any different? any help would be greatly appreciated.

ps i use Ubuntu and run the game through steam if that matters

Especially when there were creatures that 100% look like they'd maul me in an instant, like there was a scorpion 10 times the size of my ship, and It became my Friend After i fed him once.

Its weird that the only things that have attempted at my Life on planets so far have been sentinels and a few pirahna like plants.

And if there was an option for fauna to Attack me in the settings then i haven't seen It and this Is embarassing. Im not at home so i Can't check right now.

tl:dr I'm an OG NMS player who got burnt out early and hasn't really touched the game since the Path Finder update and I really want to give No Man's Sky as it is today an honest try.

I'm amoung the many that pre-ordered NMS and played it on launch. I don't mean to get into the weeds on how good or bad the initial launch was, but I played it and it was fun for a time. I think I technically "finished" the main story line that was available at that time, and then dropped out. I checked in a few times here and there when they launched the Foundation & Path Finder updates, and it was fun, but that interest didn't last very long, and I once again dropped out. I definitely feel like I got burnt out trying to love this game.

A few years ago I tried again, and at this point there had been so much content released that it felt like an entirely new game. And as an OG NMS player, it was pretty overwhelming and I couldn't stick with it.

I think it's fair to say that NMS as it is today, is the same NMS that we all hoped it would be prior to launch. I feel that my perspective of the game is so tainted having spent so much time playing the initial release and getting burnt out, and the struggle now of having to learn all of these new game mechanics, and not knowing where to start is so overwhelming and deterring me from even trying.

Perhaps I'm starting to sound like an old man (\wags finger* back in my day young interlopers...)*, but I really want to give NMS as it is today an honest try, but how do I do that without getting immediately overwhelmed with everything that has been added since the last time I really gave NMS a chance?

I totally forgot to do the current expedition and just logged on to see it ends in less than an hour. Is there any way for me to start it now and keep playing it after the timer is up to get all the rewards? Or does it prevent me from getting rewards once the timer is officially up? Does it help if I start a new save or use my current save?

took me 7 hours from phase 2 until the end, now I can take care of secondary matters like studying for my test tomorrow

it was so fun and I wish I didn’t have to rush it, I also had to bring thamium9 and the AtlasPass 4 with me :)

Just seen everyone posting about the Forsaken update, but as I use Nintendo Switch, I don’t have this yet. What I do have, is an iPhone, and I’ve just done the trial.

To be far, it plays really well, graphics are much better than switch, and the controls felt pretty smooth.

Word of warning, the trial finished when you get to space, but the full game is only £20, so still cheap. Stay on the planet you spawn on for an extended gameplay experience, but from what I managed to do I enjoyed it and will definitely be purchasing.

Has the update hit Xbox? I’d assume not, but I’m not home to check
