I've been stuck between these two for a while now.

On one hand, the original 2DS seems really nice because I can play DS and 3DS games wherever I want. On the other hand, a Wii RLV-001 with a VGA CRT monitor sounds like a really cool setup for playing Wii and GameCube games.

Both seem worth it to me, but for completely different reasons.

I'm also going to college in a few months so I right now don't know if portability matters to me .

I only have money to buy one of these right now .

What would you guys pick? Which one has the better game library, more variety, and better long-term value? I'm planning to keep whichever I buy for a long time.

Hello everyone, I have a Nintendo switch 1 that I barely use because of disabilities, joy cons are causing me a lot of pain and controllers are hard to use... When I was 5yo I used the best controller ever for me, I don't know the name but it was the usual controller of a Wii, and to move my character I was using something looking like a bean with a joystick on it and two buttons on the front (I think) is there anything like this for switch?

I've checked the card and tried to enter the code half a dozen times on both my Switch 2 and desktop, but I get 2813-0973 errors on the console and 9001-0973 on the latter.

According to Nintendo's site, these mean I entered the wrong code too many times, but I got the first error from my first attempt using it. I checked Nintendo's servers and according to their own site, the Switch eShop should be fine right now.

EDIT: I tried again after a break and now I'm seeing 2813-0051 and 9001-0051 respectively. The message I get on desktop is: "The Nintendo eShop prepaid code could not be recognised."

Please help!

P.S. My Switch 2 is up to date.

So long story short i would love to own some nintendo hardware so i opted with a switch lite for portable non-tv needs. ive seen a listing going for 5250 philippine pesos or around 82 usd, for a switch lite that comes with a case, and 5 physical games.

ok so after downloading the new 2.5 update i wasn’t able to get past the main menu. after selecting my main switch user it would black screen and boot me to the main menu. i fixed this by being making a entirely fresh user and i am now able to play the game but i have to start fresh. anybody else dealing with this issue? i’m wondering if it has to do with my main being connected to my cd project red account, i really want to get back to my original save i’ve never had crashes before and it’s quite frustrating!

I really wanna buy an NSO SNES controller, but sadly they're discontinued here. Anyone has a retailer in Europe who sells these, or is willing to sell it to me themselves? (I don't mind used)

hello everyone ( im french sorry for my english ) , i have a wii that i bought in 2009 i played at this console everytime till 2016 then i put the console in my garage and i let the console here in a box for 9 years and half last year , i open the box but not start the console then today by nostalgia i start my console with the game mj the exp and mario galaxy but when i put the game on the console the wii start and the games works till the first level and the first music for mj the exp then there is a black screen where they put reading of disc with a sound of tractor by the console . If you can help me that will be great bcuz im lost . Thanks for your attention

I preordered the limited edition breath of the wild 8pc vinyl box set in June. It was delivered on time on Sept 4, but only recently was I able to open it up and play the records. On the second record there is a noticible dent where the grooves are, which affects the sound quality. I contacted Nintendo Customer Support about this issue and they just told me to start a return process for a refund and purchase another one, which is impossible because this was a limited press. Is there any way for me to contact Nintendo so that I can get a record that works?

So idk if any others had this issue but my microsd reader on the switch 2 stopped working so I sent it in to get it repaired. I sent it in and got it sent out relatively quickly. It should be here tomorrow but there weren’t any online updates on whether not they fixed it or not. I tried customer service but they said all they could tell me was that they looked at it and are returning but they couldn’t specify if the service person actually fixed anything. Is that normal?

This might not be the typical post for this sub but I don't know where else to get help.

I bought a Nintendo plush for my son through the Nintendo Europe website nearly 2 months ago. It was dispatched not long after and I got an email from DPD saying they are expecting my parcel. DPD never updated tracking to say it'd been received and even now, 2 months later it still says they haven't yet received the item.

1) I opened a ticket with Nintendo Europe support (17/09) and received a response simply stating my request had been forwarded to the relevant department. They also requested I fill in a very basic (it had no branding) looking form stating I confirm I had not received the item.

2) I received no response to my submission of the form so chased the customer service rep up a week later and got a response on 25/09 saying it had been forwarded to the relevant department.

3) I heard nothing by 03/10 so I again chased with the same rep requesting a refund since my items had clearly not been fulfilled and and she simply told me it had been escalated and can't tell me anything else.

It's obviously nearly a month since I last chased this and have no idea what to do next. Nintendo have essentially stolen money from me since they are refusing to refund items not delivered.

I'm located in the UK and the Nintendo EU offices seem to be in Germany from what I can tell.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to get a refund? Any advice on how I can escalate this since I'm hitting a brick wall with customer service?

Can I play Mario 3D world campaign online with 2 of us having a Switch 1 and the other a Switch 2? Thanks in advance

Hey everyone.

Lately my right joy-con controllers seems to be disconnecting a lot. The charge is full. And its stays disconnected until i finally get it working again.

Sometimes it stays connected for a bit and sometimes after a few minutes it disconnects again.

I have made sure thats the controller is updated and that the switch 2 is updated as well.

It doesn’t matter if it’s plugged in in handheld mode….

SOMEONE SMARTER THAN ME PLEASE HELP. I cant afford new joycons yet.

I been trying to connect my wii to the internet for the past couple of days but i constantly fail and keep getting errors.

My Wii detects my WiFi, but whenever I test the connection I keep getting errors like 51330, 52030, 52031, and 52032.

The weird part is that sometimes the connection test succeeds, but if I test it again immediately afterward, it fails. I’m using Xfinity and i even created a separate WiFi network that only uses 2.4 GHz, but I’m still having the same problem.

I’m starting to wonder whether something is wrong with my Wii’s Wi-Fi hardware or if my router just isn’t fully compatible with older consoles.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there a way to fix this without changing my main router settings?
Any advice would be appreciated. I’ve been trying to figure this out for hours.

So I dropped my switch 2 in the bath for about 3 seconds before quickly grabbing it. I dried it off with towel (I didn't think to drain all the water out of vents) then turned it on for 10 seconds and saw it working. About 3 minutes later it was showing the Switch 2 and Nintendo logos for a couple minutes. I realized then I probably didn't do enough. I looked it up and completely drained the ventilation units and took off joy-cons. I then let it air dry with fan for the last week, and plan to check on it in another. I'm still worried, so I wanted to ask if there's any hope for it to work again after that? It was an anniversary gift so I'm really hoping it's not fried...

While cleaning my room, my GBA fell into a bucket of water and desinfectant but i didn't notice, because it was a very short drop into a shallow container, it made no sound. However it was enough for it to be completely submersed. The screen was completely filled with water.

When I noticed it, I tried pulling out my tools in order to open it up, but unfortunately i don't have the triwing tools for opening it.

I thought of trying blowing hot air in the coolest setting possible with a hairdryer. Trying to evaporate as much water as possible. I don't know if the water made these white marks or the heat did it. There are still water droplets behind the glass mostly on the left side.

I did order the tools online, but they'll only arrive on Wednesday.

There's no strap under the switch 2 to pull it from, and its a rigid case so I can't get my fingers between the case and the switch to lift it out, I iether have to pull on the sticks (probably not the best to do) or flip over the case and let it fall out (risks dropping the switch 2 in some situations)

The title really says it all. My friend and I play online over our switches frequently. I was gifted a switch 2 and I want to be sure I’ll still be able to play things like Mario party and Stardew with my friend who only has the original switch.

I have my pro controller plugged in 24/7 in my switch. I have had it for like 6 years now like that. Recently returned to playing on the switch after 2 years of not touching it because I got an itch to play pokemon. Issue is that my pro controller keeps disconnecting every like 10 minutes or so for like 3-8 seconds long. Now in leafgreen and brilliant diamond this isn't really an issue since the games are turn based, but I want to play legends arceus and that game has dark souls boss fights if I've heard correctly, so the controller disconnecting is going to be a huge issue.

Does anyone know what causes my controller to disconnect like that and how I could fix it?

Wondering wtf happened, haven’t played in a month but my subscriptions swapped accounts somehow?

I have three separate profiles with different emails and I had two subscriptions for the last two profiles I made and have NOT HAD A SUBSCRIPTION ON THE FIRST ACCOUNT FOR YEARS.

I fired up the old switch today and SOMEHOW there was a recurring membership for the first and second profile which I had not authorized and the third profiles membership was non existent???

Seriously wtf could cause this?

I had to turn off auto renewal on the first two accounts and purchase membership again for my newest profile (the one I play on) and i’m still not understanding how something like that could happen.

Is this a known bug?

Need help asap.

As far as I know, nintendo won’t give refunds so whatever but i’d like to not pay for three seperate subscriptions when historically i’d use one or two at the most (for two seperate pokemon save files etc.)

Here is the deal: I already finished game once and now played it 2nd time to get another ending, I have a two profiles cause I often give console to my friend. So, when I launch Undertale a accidentally choose the wrong profile, and now when i start the game with the right one, it acts like I start the game first time. What even happen and is there any solve to this problem? My switch is moded if it matters.
