Fanart 2B’s monologue translated to angelic text
Worked on a project where I had to create fantasy themed set dressing. Translated 2B’s opening monologue from Automata into Angelic text and wrote it out to create a papyrus scroll

Achievement What a ride!
I finally completed both games. Easily two of my favorites. Although 100%-ing felt like some form of self-harm, the emotional pay-off totally made up for it imo. Im gonna miss playing them for the first time.

NieR Replicant Definitive way to play Nier
I had never played ver 1.22 until recently, primarily because I was so attached to Father Nier and really didn't like the dialogue changes I saw. Now, with Nier Gestalt ver 1.22 (a mod that completely replaces Brother Nier with Father Nier and changes all the dialogue back to the original) officially out, I can safely say this is my favorite way to play the original Nier.

Discussion Could a Goliath class machine be defeated by Metal gear Rex?
Discussion Explaining hacking/Maso
So, from what I have understood, YoRHa units, normal androids and machines all have their own power sources. YoRHa units use Black Boxes, normal androids use fusion reactors, and machines use machine cores. These power sources all contain maso.
If I understood it correctly, maso is kind of like the binary system, but with one major difference: maso has a physical form.
To explain what I mean, binary is a way of representing information using ones and zeros. You could compare it to speaking. When you speak to someone, you transfer information, but you aren’t physically handing over the information itself. Maso, on the other hand, is more like a letter. The information is carried by something physical that can be passed around, changed or destroyed.
So, if maso gets hacked, the physical maso containing the data could be manipulated or damaged, which would affect the systems that depend on it. This could cause machines, normal androids and YoRHa units to malfunction or even get destroyed.
Basically, the way I understand it, maso is like a physical form of data that can be manipulated, and because it is connected to the power sources of these units, messing with it can have serious consequences for them.
What are your thoughts on this?
Fanart I drew Kainé
The reference was some official art. It was my first time drawing something like this. I'm really happy with it

NieR Automata Why did the Commander tell 9S.... Spoiler
The scene where the Commander tells 9S the truth about humanity makes no sense to me.
At first I thought she was planning to order 2B to execute him, but I saw comments debunking that, saying she had a change of heart.
But we never saw what gave her this change of heart. Don't get me wrong, Nier Automata has great writing, but this scene feels poorly written, specifically the Commander's motivations. This character development is unexplained and sudden.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

NieR Automata I still couldn't move on from finishing my first Playthrough of Nier Automata and don't have the money to buy Replicant currently. Need some game suggestions of games that would actually keep me engage because I cannot really enjoy anything currently!
I loved playing Automata when I started it. People obviously warned me about the cons of the gameplay and how it can for some people be "mediocre" and since I wanted experience story I didn't mind it that much before playing.
But the thing is I really enjoyed the gameplay of Automata, I don't want to yapp about the details about it because most people who had played it can understand.
Since, I finished that game obviously Ending E left me in a state which words can't describe but the game and music also got over with that and now I am left with a feeling of "It's not going to be good as automata and it's not Automata"
Which I know is a wrong mindset and yeah I tried other games but I can't get the feeling of "I am loving this game".

Discussion What should I play before going to the Nier:orchestra 12026?
So I found out that Nier concert would be visit in my local area and managed to get some ticket. I had played and finished nier automata but never got around to playing other game in the franchise. Is there any required/suggested playing (I plan on at least replaying automata) before the concert date? Thanks.

NieR Replicant Was the shadowlord writing to yonah?
I didn’t piece this together in previous playthroughs but nier says to weiss at one point that he doesn’t write letters but yonah’s diary entries contradict that statement.
So, the only way that makes sense to me is that the shadowlord was writing to her while the protagonist nier is away.

NieR Automata Nier Automata Remaster, Comparison photos
I wanted to share some before and after photos, in these photos Raytraced Shadows and Raytraced GI are both on, with DLSS set to quality and on the Classic fog
ive been silent for the past couple of days because i was and still is busy with uni.
global illumination is basically done now, shadows are done but has some minor issues that will be fixed, TAA, DLSS and FSR are also done.
nearly everything in the mod is tweakable so if there is something you dont like you can change it to something else.
as always i am open for suggestions or ideas.

NieR Replicant 70 hours of playtime before knowing you could execute enemies
I’ve been trying to 100% this game and I have over 70 hours of gameplay, and just now realised you can execute enemies who are knocked down using the interact button (O for Playstation or B for Xbox).
I’ve played on hard for my first A-E ending play-through and would’ve loved to know this is an actual mechanic.
