Hi all! I’m new to this subreddit (and Reddit in general). This is my nebelung, Sasha! She’s 5 years old and is the most high maintenance cat I’ve ever had the pleasure of loving 😂

I am looking for advice regarding playtime. Sasha LOVES to play and is quite demanding about it & becomes obsessed with specific toys. However, she primarily wants me to play with her and immediately leaves if her sister Tai comes to play. We’ve tried food puzzles but she’s lazy about them & has digestive issues so treats are kept to a minimum.

Do y’all have any suggestions for play time/enrichment time activities that your cats love?

hi all! this is himiko, who’s entire head is full of soup & who has never had a thought ever. i got her + her sister back in may 2025 at roughly 2 & a half weeks old. she was born outside & lived outside until i rescued them both, and me & my partner were wondering about her breed earlier when we stumbled across this reddit! seeing some of the posts reminded me heavily of himiko— especially the ones of people’s cats rubbing / dragging themselves across peoples floors (himi has done so since she was about 12 weeks old, and loves belly rubs😭)

i’ve also included some baby photos of himiko too incase it’s of any help. i think it’s a safe assumption that she’s probably mixed with several other breeds too, but asking out of curiousity more than anything ! ☺️

(just an fyi, when her + rukia were babies, they had a pretty bad upper respiratory infection from living outside, that’s why her eyes look a little crusty/wet from cleaning! it was stubborn to get rid of but both babies are happy & healthy!)

She went missing around Vista California on October 18 and my mom told me that she was napping outside in the backyard at 9:00pm
that day and I have tried everything that I could, I would stay outside until 1:am calling her name but nothing but a random possum came and her companion has been waiting for her to comeback, I don’t know what to do and I’m not sure if she’s been killed or someone stole her by mistake thinking she was a stray

One year ago I adopted a cat from a shelter because they couldn’t accommodate him and the shelter was disperate to find new homes for the kittens.

Me and my girlfriend accepted because the shelter said it is “at least half British Shorthair” and it is an independent cat so it fits our lifestyle (we have no routine, not even the same waking hour).

It turns out to be a Nebelung with a really strong personality. We live in a small studio and would like to send him to my parents house where they have a big, well fenced garden and two cats.

We travel a lot, our lifestyle doesn’t allow us to have a proper routine and it seems like it bothers our cat. We went on a 9 day holiday and we had someone to come everyday to feed him, clean and play. He pooped on the floor, in the bathtub and for the past days, even as we arrived home, he pees on the floor at night when we sleep. In the day he uses the litter box normally but at night he needs to do something rebellious. The litter box is clean, enough sand but he simply refuses to use it anymore. We checked with the vet and he is healthy.

He hates new people and seems to be very shocked by every sound he hears. He doesn’t allow to pet, only when he’s sucking himself on the belly because most likely was taken away from the mother too early.

How could I make his accommodation to my parent’s house easier?
