Advice How Do We Survive This?
Im 18 years old and the military conscription situation in Yangon seems to be getting worse day by day. How are we supposed to survive this?

Seriously tho, dont follow and read Khit Thit media. There’s no sense of actual journalism from these scums. All they want to do is instill fear more into people and be an extreme lobbyist. I am not saying conscription and some of these horrors by junta aint happening but Khit Thit is not a reliable source of information at all.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to give people you are forcing into your shitty, selfish war access to guns wink

Idk, I heard that you’re basically their labor slaves and don’t really get to carry guns because they know the kids aren’t willingly going into the army.

Bro.. those who get conscripted are likely to be used as human shields, just baits to walk through mines, and labor slaves. They aint letting you carry firearms.

I hope you all stay strong! I was lucky to escape to a Thai camp with my family as a baby and then got to move to US but I still have relatives in Myanmar. Myanmar is a beautiful country with so much resources that can make it a top 5 Asian countries if it was ran by the right people. It’s such a shame the rest of the world is just turning a blind eye.

Khit Thit has the brain of a tomato. Anyone with a brain should stay away from that dumb media.

It's not about Khit Thit, you can read about this problem on many media. Don't be stupid.

He calls Khit Thit dumb media and he doesn't realise that he is also dumb.

Conscription is a problem in itself that grows around fear and intimidation. It also gives room for a third party human trafficking rings who pretends to be of "conscription force recruiter".
Truth to be told, unless we have photos, videos or testimonials from families who had their child taken away and have these recorded and laid out, I do not believe the situation is as severe as it really is (for broad daylight force conscription issues on urban areas).
Myanmar's Facebook has been US Marine တွေလာရင်အိုးစည်တွေမတီးနဲ့ to သင်္ဘောတွေဝင်လာပြီ to R2P ဝင်လာပြီ to like and share တွေများများလုပ်ပေးကြပါ 20K ဆိုရင် UN တံခါးပိတ်ပါပြီ and with people habit of exaggerating, take everything pinch of salt.

Seriously, right now in Mandalay, more than 100 guys just got drafted across three areas. Don't go thinking everyone's as comfortable as you are..

u/Stunning_Package_546 Sep 18 '26
With that number, we'd be seeing 100 families going to news media, pleading or at least someone taking a video or photo of the entire ordeal but we still haven't yet.

Im from Australia and I’ve only seen a YouTube video on the situation naturally in the media which started my further investigation into everything. The video mentioned 195 journalists had been arrested in the country, I believe this includes foreign journalists. I would imagine this is part of a large censorship on the topic which is only making this even harder for everyone in the country.

Most people who got drafted are from poor family.
They dont even know how to use social media.

It's Khit Thit. The moment they say fire trucks are red, you bet they are blue.

Didn't know there were so many ball ma in this thread why aren't they not on the front lines already instead of yapping every day

u/EqualProfessional568 Sep 18 '26
NUG Ministry of Defense is telling all conscription-age men to leave junta-control areas and go to liberated areas or other countries. Do it before you get sent to the front lines to die. Your normal life is no longer possible.

You don't. You just pray to god and I hope they don't take you every morning before you leave for work.

Can anyone tell me what’s happening? My Burmese isn’t that good, so I can’t understand what’s happening

u/Normal_Purple7985 Sep 19 '26
Don't go outside at night, do go to busy places and tried to get money as much as possible to leave this country and work in other country. That's the safest route

3 years in prison.
You will still have to go to military service even after you stay 3 years in prison.

This happens because soldiers are uneducated idiots. I remember my district official getting off’d one evening, and still wonder why we don’t do that more. Then I realized it’s just cuz the entire military is made up of uneducated slaves whose only education is how to bootlick their superiors.
