Tyler Curle going to the Freeride World Tour!

Post image
128 Upvotes

If you’ve ever called the factory, swung by the shop, or followed our athletes over the years, chances are you already know Tyler Curle. He’s been part of the Moment family for a long time — building skis, sublimating topsheets, testing prototypes, all while stacking results on the competition circuit.

Tyler put down a killer run yesterday at the final stop of the qualifier circuit, landing 2nd place and officially earning his spot on the Freeride World Tour next season.

We couldn’t be more proud.

Tyler’s been putting in the work for years — early mornings in the factory, late nights tuning skis, and countless days chasing conditions. Watching that effort pay off in such a big way is exactly why we do what we do.

We are beyond stoked to watch him take on the FWT next year!

Thoughts on Wildcat 108 point +2

Needing to mount my Wildcat 108s for the season and wondering about people's experience with them mounted at +2 from the factory recommendation?

I sized up to the 184 Wildcat and am a little worried about it being a lot of ski for me. Thinking +2 will make it feel slightly shorter while also being more freestyle/playful. I currently ride an Armada ARV 106 180cm at freestyle mount point (-2.5 from true centre). TIA!

Curious to hear my son's feedback on his new Carsons...they are quite different from anything he's skied before. I picked these up for him at the end of the 24/25 season and the F5 Juniors went on today.

Looking for 184cm, would be fine with decent shape. I messed up by not pulling the trigger last year and have been scouring FB marketplace and craigslist nation wide ever since.

New Moment Deathwish 112 with Tyrolia Protector + Attack Bindings

Post image

Just had the bindings installed at the local ski shop and now I get to admire them until snow falls. Super grateful to Moment for helping me decide on these and the length I went with as well as the best brake width for the bindings. What an amazing company. Can't wait to take these out!

Hi, does anyone have any info about anybody selling chipotle banana blades? I’ve been trying to get a pair for a long time and have been waiting for any to come up on marketplace or Craigslist. If you know anything I’d love to know, thanks

Moment Tour Series for 50/50

Anyone using a ski from the Moment Tour lineup as a 50/50 ski with a hybrid binding? I'm not huge fan of the Shift, so when I say hybrid, I'm talking Duke PT, CAST, or Attack Hybrid. I'd be considering the DWT 104 or the CT 104.

I am aware that on paper this is a miss match and these skis are better fit for something like an ATK binding, but I'm just curious if anyone does it and what their thoughts are. How big of a drop off in performance from poplar to paulownia can be expected?

Love my DW104s but not my DWT104s

The DW104s have been my daily for a few seasons now and it's the best ski I've ever had.

I assumed I would like the touring version as much, but don't love the twin tip in the backcountry. My old touring ski was a WNDR Vital and though I prefer the maneuverability and the triple chamber on the DWT I feel like the aggressive tail rise just doesn't work when making turns and kick turns on steeper terrain with variable conditions such as crusty or heavier snow.

Would love some recommendations.

I’m looking for a pair of Deathwish 112 (184) with the wolf graphics from a couple of years ago. Preferably new or good conditions. I know it’s a long shot but I love the graphics. DM me and we can work something out.

Deathwish stiffness changes?

So I have some 2019 Deathwishes that don't retain base repairs anymore after too many grinds at the shop, so last year I got the 96s to try them out. They rip and are great, but significantly stiffer than the 112s. I found myself missing my 112s and the characteristics that came with them, and was planning to buy a new pair of 112s soon.

But I heard through word of mouth that the wood core for all widths of Deathwish has been changed, and all of them are now a bit stiffer overall. Can anyone confirm this?

WC98s?

Some of you probably saw my other post in here, but I’m deciding between a few pairs on the Moment main line, the CTs, DWs, and WCs.

I’m and advanced skier, 5’11” 185lbs, mainly based in the Midwest but want something that’ll also function well out west. (I make a trip to Cali, Utah, and Co once a year)

I was first looking into the DW104s, but am now Leaning towards the WC 98s due to a few comments on my other post and some more research I’ve done. I want something playful and agile but something that can also charge and can cut through hard pack/crud. Basically a well-rounded all mountain one ski quiver. I’m mainly doing on/off piste, some backcountry, side hits, groomers, trees, etc. but my park days are behind me.

Been on K2 mindbenders since 2022 and I’m ready for an upgrade as I’m kinda bored with the mindbenders and I’m a vastly better skier than I was 5 seasons ago.

Any experience on the WCs (or any others that I’ve listed) would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Wildcat 98

Who else is very intrigued by the Wildcat 98? Anyone buy it yet? The rocker lines appear to be substantially lowered as compared to other skis in the line, and the added side cut makes me think it would carve pretty sweet turns. For Moment skis, I've only ever skied the Countach (104 and 110) series and the Meridian 107, but really like all of them. I don't expect it to charge like a Countach, but it doesn't have to. With the super tight trees in the northeast, I really need something maneuverable and this would likely fit the bill.

FS: Wildcat 108 Tour 184cm with Armada Shift 13

As the title suggests, looking to part ways with my touring setup. They are pretty lightly used (~20 days) have a shop tune and storage wax. 108 width, 184 length. They are mounted on the line with Armada Shift 13 bindings for a 315mm BSL, with +/- 15mm of adjustment in both directions, so will fit down to 300mm and up to 330mm BSL without needing to remount. Located in Boston but willing to ship to the lower 48. Looking for around $1000

Wildcat 96 or 108?

I’m an intermediate skier, live in AZ. I’ll mostly be skiing at the snowbowl and Sunrise Park Resort with a trip planned to Mammoth and Alta this year. Sunrise gets a lot of snow but snowbowl is mostly low tide, but with the El Niño we’re supposed to get dumped on.

I started progressing quick last season and found myself going off-piste more often, into the trees but I mainly love playful riding in bowls and launching side hits. I’m coming from a k2 public enemy - heavy ass 88mm underfoot old school park ski.

I’m having a hard time deciding whether the 98 or 108 are gonna be good for my style and terrain. Any help would be appreciated!
