General Randomly a mod after account takeover
How do I stop being a mod? I just had my account taken over. And after recovery, I’m now a mod of r/idealprotein. I don’t want to be :(
All platforms - iOS

You can remove yourself as a mod in the mod tools.
Consider making the sub restricted before doing that though so no spam or harmful content can be posted there while no one moderates the sub.

You seem to be the only mod weirdly enough, maybe make a post looking for mods and just add a few people then remove yourself.

The sub is not really active, so I doubt they would find many people. It‘s also likely OP may not know anything about the topic the sub is about (which could make it harder to choose another mod), and people wanting to mod it can do a Reddit Request, so changing it to restricted and then removing themselves probably is better than them trying to look for other mods.

Hi u/alexbooth, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.
Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found match: iOS
You might be asking about setting up subreddits on a phone or mobile interface. The short answer is that subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)
If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.

Found regex match: stop being a mod
You seem to be asking about moderation matters, such as adding/removing/recruiting moderators or what to do if you've removed yourself as a moderator, or a related topic. These are frequently asked questions.
FOR INFO ON: # what to do if you've accidentally left a sub as moderator, # how to add/remove/invite/recruit/re-order moderators, # removing moderators higher than you, # distinguishing as mod, # mod permissions, # how to use tools for moderators, # common issues with mod tools (clearing mod queue, spam tab, finding posts/comments and notifications), # giving away/adopting subreddits, please click here.
