Tools Automod help

Desktop/mobile versions in use

Hi, I am trying to use automod to automatically assign "NewUser" flair to new members and those with 2-99 community karma points.

My sub has 7k members and 12k weekly visitors on average. So manually assigning new user flairs is not a viable option.

The sub is over a year old and the original co owner (has now left)didnt want automod set up so its a new set up on the new system.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I have tried multiple lines of code through automod and this new system is slightly infuriating.. if it actually accepts the code, it fails to work, the rest of the time it kicks out the code because of conflicts.

Any help appreciated!

You can do it through Automod, but an easier way is by use of the "Userflair ranks" app on Devvit: https://developers.reddit.com/apps/autoflair-app

It does? I just clicked on it and was given an option of adding it to my subs.

Hi u/PlasticGuitar1320, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found regex match: assign "NewUser" flair

It looks like you're asking about flairs on your subreddit. This is an EXTREMELY frequently asked question, so this auto-response has been set up for any mention of "flair" and even "flare".

Please check out this Updated Visual Guide for Flair FAQs .

FOR INFO ON: # flair in Old Reddit, # setting up user/post flairs on New Reddit, # enforcing user/post flairs (mandatory flairs), # sidebar widgets for post flairs with problems and solutions, # why users can't see or use user/post flairs, # how AutoModerator can help with flairs, and # some common problems viewing flairs, please click here.

Subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.
