Discussion Did you notice that in Wolf’s Den, Price already equipped his NVG before entering the building? So when he stood in the doorway and put them back on in the dark, he was just aura farming for Kyle

Discussion For mw2019 fans testing MW4

I have a few questions for people that think mw2019 was the peak, but are playing MW4 anyway. I'm not a COD diehard but I love Multiplayer, especially TDM. I play splitscreen with the wife.

EDIT: I am asking these questions because I'd like to know if MW4 is worth the price of admission for Multiplayer, almost exclusively. I've seen a lot of talk about the maps being mid, but I still groan at half the maps in 2019 and still love them all. Perhaps familiarity will breed more love for the new maps? Likely copium, but READ ON!

  1. How do the controls feel? Are they up-to-par or at least pointed toward a return to form?

  2. Does Multiplayer (and spec ops) feel like an afterthought? DMZ and Campaign obviously get the real attention, but I've never had as much fun as I have with basic quick play splitscreen.

  3. How are the maps? I love the 2019 maps and I'm interested to see what people who prefer this game think so far. I'm fine with new maps, but I wonder how they hold up against people trying to find good vantage points.

I didn't enjoy MW2 remake or MW3. Let that be known. That's why I'm still playing a "dead" game full of absolute psycho vets and Cheaters.

I worry it'll never be the same. I hope I'm wrong. Share all your thoughts so far below. I want to know if it's worth the purchase, season passes, COD Points for other purchases. Thanks in advance.

Question MW2019 Question?

Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to Reddit.

So I've owned MW2019 since launch, on both PS and XBOX. I just re-downloaded it on my xbox to clean up achievements and when I click launch it takes me to a menu with 2 options. 1 is to open the COD launcher and play the games available there, or to purchase MW. I already own the game so not gonna buy it again lol but even when i click buy it does nothing. In the Microsoft store it even says LAUNCH GAME You own this. Any idea what's happening?

Question COD MW2019 and MWII won't launch/crash on launch

I cannot launch the game. Every time I try, the loading splash screen finishes and then for MW2019 opens a black screen before closing itself and for MWII it crashes instantly upon the loading screen starting up. COD HQ runs fine but these two games won't launch. I keep getting error code 0xC0000374 (0) N. Both of them give the same code.

I have both MW2019 and MW2022 on an external hard drive, and they both run just fine on my old laptop when I plug it back in but they refuse to launch on my new PC. Every other game on the drive including HQ works but nothing I have done has fixed the issue. I tried clearing cache, verifying game files, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating windows and drivers, checking to see if antivirus is blocking it, etc. The games refuse to launch.

The games crash regardless of is they are installed locally or externally, and the same installations run just fine if they are launched on my old laptop so something about my PC must be the issue, but I can't find out what.

My New PC Specs are:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor (4.20 GHz)

Installed RAM: 32.0 GB

Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB) | AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (486 MB)

My Old Laptop Specs are:

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H (2.30Ghz)

Installed RAM: 16 GB

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (6 GB) | Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128MB)

Support Can't start MW4, asks me to purchase (already have Xbox physical disc)

I bought MW4 on physical disc from Amazon, put it in my Xbox Series X and started installation (I have the previous 2 CODs already installed, but it looks like there should be enough HDD space). It's now at about 37% and says that I can play it now, but all I get is a HUGE Purchase button on the screen :( What am I doing wrong?

Gameplay Pissed off

Hi,
I bought a physical copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) for PS5 from CeX. The MW2 title screen loads and my MW2 licences show as "Usable with Disc" in Manage Game Content.
After update 1.110.000, the launcher only shows Modern Warfare 4, Warzone and BO7. There is no MW2 tab, so I can't play MW2.
The game also had me download the "Modern Warfare 4: Campaign Pack", and I got an email receipt for it (order 787096805024313, 27/10/2026) for Rs 0. I didn't buy MW4, and its tab shows a Purchase button.
I've restarted the PS5 and reinstalled from the disc with only the MW2 add-on selected. Same result.
How do I access MW2 from the disc, and is the MW4 Campaign Pack meant to be free with MW2?

Discussion Please read and discuss..

I don’t use Reddit much but I wanted to come out and explain some things that I feel need to be discussed about the new MW4 multiplayer experience.

Let me begin by saying stating that I am a COD veteran and have been playing the series since the OG CoD4 and then took a break when Advanced Warfare came out all the way until the end of black ops 4 into the start of MW 2019 warzone.

I am a massive competitive gamer and I attempted to play professionally for Halo 3 back in the good ole MLG days. 50 in every ranked playlist and more. Yada Yada.

TLDR; To the point..

MW4 is great and takes me back to the OG COD4, WaW, and MW2 vibe but has a lot of drawbacks in multiplayer.

Everything about the game besides multiplayer is phenomenal. The campaign and DMZ are fantastic and anyone that hasn’t given it a chance needs to.

But the multiplayer (the core) experience is a total joke. The guns aren’t balanced at all. Everyone is using the HAN86 like it’s a BR from Halo 2-3 and that’s NOT ok. (For Cod anyway.)

Older CODs when you got a level up and unlocked a new gun. You had hopes that it would be better than your last or at least as potent as what you were previously using. But in MW4? Throw that entire idea out the window. Each gun is so absolutely horribly unbalanced until you get attachments for it unless it’s the HAN, ISO, or MP7.

My second issue is that SBMM MUST go. Tell me why you’re implementing a system to match up players with equal opponents to go against? Just go back to how it was with Halo 3. Social playlists for unranked and then ranked playlists with obvious SBMM. Players will adapt to this again very quickly.

Right now (as it’s been for years) I have to sweat after working a 10 hour shift at work to only run into noob tubes and RPGs. Like lol this is what you call balanced? People flying around the map acting like an MLG Pro with Omni movement black ops 7 while 2-3 other players are camping corners with a RPG?

It doesn’t make sense.. SBMM is ruining your core player base and replay-ability. If we want to sweat and get better it should be a choice. Not a decision decided for us just because you think you’ll lose more players removing it. I’m telling you the reality. You won’t. You will gain more players removing SBMM. If some lobbies have a “skill” issue. Let it be a “skill” issue. Friends become friends and next thing you know social interactions happens and somebody’s crimson friend will be diving into a 1v1 with that guy that destroyed them in the lobby. It’s how it was meant to be intended and how CoD survived for as long as it has.

Last issue is the maps. They’re all flat and feel like a carbon copy of other maps. Sentry for example is literally a wider carbon copy of rust. It’s about the only map I actually like as well. The rest of them like transit are going to become old and annoying really fast because there isn’t enough verticality to them to make them interesting and have different types of engagement.

When halo was dying I spoke out and I wasn’t heard. I bet the same thing is going to happen for cod. It’s only a matter of time unless you listen to the true OG player base.

I’d love to hear thoughts and opinions? Anyone else care to share with me what you think?

I'm trying to play MW2 on GeForce Now...
I waited 15 minutes to launch MW4 plus 10 minutes for the rediraction to COD HQ... And I didn't found MW2 there...
I launched MW2 several times, attempting through 30 minutes straight... the game didn't launch...
I launcehd WM3 and after 30 minutes trying, the game launched and I needed to restart to update this shit...
I tried for other 30 minutes and the same issue with MW2 is now happening with MW3...
Now, I will try once more to launch MW4 and see if I missed in the COD HQ the fuckinw MW2...
