87% CPU… disgusting.

Back in a XP era we could do things with just a fraction of current cpu power.

The fact that stupid telemetry can eat 87% of modern cpu power is disgusting. I really wish Windows to be replaced by Linux one day.

Windows by it self always uses like 50% of CPU capacity on my brother's laptop.

I am very sure that a little older device could reach that 87%.

you'd wish, but I've also seen that first-handed at some point

maybe, but that sucker came even without Internet.
(Don't take me for paranoid, but every time I said the word "Windows" into microphone, it appeared)

There's no option to opt out of all telemetry, and unless you click "I agree" on the EULA (which says they can spy on you, plaster your OS with ads, and sell your data) the installation will NOT continue

You can't even install windows unless you click agree on the EULA

God i remember telemetry, even deleting it it spawns again after some time
a guy in a forum just created a reg entry that kills the process when it pops, so it gets killed instantly when it opens, no more hdd or cpu usage c:

It's not on the Linux people. It's on the developers for these game companies.

My work laptop had an issue with windows indexer eating constantly 30 - 40% of cpu resources. Once I disabled indexer service my laptop was suddenly usable.

I had to do this on our work laptops too. They have NVMe drives, so they don't need search indexing. With search indexing turned on, every time you touch a file, Windows feels the need to waste more CPU cycles indexing it. It's really bad on dev machines working with git, which can have hundreds if not thousands of files. The Core 7 Ultra 165U laptops we have are so much faster with search indexing disabled.
