Hi folks! The r/mensfashion moderator team here. We're introducing the costume flair. This flair will be available from October 11 through November 6.

The costume flair is exactly like the Anything Fashion flair except you can also post costumes. We're choosing not to define what a costume is; as usual, the ground rules are:

• Keep it respectful, constructive, and inclusive
• Keep it about men's fashion -- which in this case includes costumes
• Have fun!

Releases and Sales

• No Man Walks Alone's weekly drop includes luxurious cashmere watch caps from William Lockie, GATs from An Irrational Element, and some dude-coded pashmina-esque scarves from Sublimeroe. This week's stand-out: a brand new model of shawl collar cardigan in 100% camelhair from Lockie.
• Spier and Mackay has a dedicated landing page for wide-leg trousers, for all of y'all asking where the wide leg pants at.
• J Crew is running a 20% off sale for mailing list subscribers; for access, check your inbox.
• Banana Republic's seasonal 40% off sale continues. Lots of linen on deep discount -- and you can always count on global warming to bring linen season back a little earlier every year.
• Withered Fig has a tranche of seasonal offerings including heavyweight tees from Merz B Schwanen.
• Colhay's has done a restock, which is fantastic news if you want very high quality knits ranging from expensive but aspirational to truly bananas. (Please don't buy that cashmere shawl collar cardigan. You can get something just as nice for half the price from Lockie.)
• If there's one thing SuitSupply does that nobody else can match, it's overcoats in absolutely wild colorways. Is it the best overcoat on the market? No. But is it the only wool overcoat in this blueish mint color? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. And it's kinda-sorta-affordable at $600, although you have to tolerate a 99% wool/1% poly blend.
• Uniqlo's Uniqlo U FW26 collection still has peieces available. This year was frankly a little weak, but the cream turtleneck is neat. (As usual with Uniqlo U, the women's side had a more interesting outing: for example, this stand collar cardigan, though some of the magic is in the styling.)
• De Bonne Facture is now doing MTO. Cost is 20% on top of retail. If you want the best overcoat on the market made to your exact specifications, this is how to get it, although it'll cost you a mortgage payment.

Subreddit Updates

• The Ban and Strike Jubilee is still ongoing! Do you have a temporary ban, permanent ban, or strike you'd like to wipe off your record? We'll do it, no questions asked! Note that this expired as of 10/25/26.
• We're still recruiting moderators, deputy moderators, and a graphic designer! Click here for more information.
• We'd like to remind folks that Rule #1 (Respect) requires all engagement to be respectful and constructive. Most folks understand "respectful," but we're seeing some misses on "constructive." Two key things that are likely to get a comment struck for being disrespectful or unconstructive:
  • "You look like Hugh Jackman", and that's the entire comment: this is not constructive because it adds nothing to the discussion
  • "That's a costume": unless it's under the actual costume flair, this is a respect issue; these are somebody's clothes and it's probably a pic of them wearing it, show a little basic humanity
