Question Help clarification
Im sorry i know this must have been talked about a lot before, but i cant find any discussion regarding this with the keywords being too vague.
Anyways, why does killing he who remains leads to a destruction of everything ? Because before everything, there was a state with an infinite of universes and branches, and they existed together, it just meant his variants were dope and started a multiverdal war. So he created the tva and destroyed all other universes to only keep the sacred timeline, and whenever a branch exists it gets pruned to prevent the emergence of another one of his variants.
Thats clear, but then, when sylvie kills him, it leads to the recreation of lots of other universes and branches, okey, fair. But why would thry collapse ? With people desintegrating and stuff ? Isnt that supposed to just make the cycle repeat, like emergence of his variants elsewhere ?
If you say the loom and the tva cant contain all of that, but the thing is, all of that existed before he who remains and the tva, so ? What am i missing ?

Just to clarify an initial misconception that I had when I watched the show for the first time:
It wasn't the killing of HWR that caused the collapse of timelines. The TVA doesn't directly need HWR, since we have seen that it functions just fine without his day-to-day involvement. The TVA leaders, like Renslayer, didn't even consciously know about HWR's existence until Loki explained it in S2.
The problem only arose after (in S2 E1) Loki explained to everyone at the TVA that HWR was a dictator and that pruning timelines was wrong. So, not long after the beginning of S2, they stopped pruning timelines...
And then a couple episodes later, those new timelines started falling apart because the multiverse had proliferated so much that now the Loom was taking over and deleting timelines all by itself. HWR designed the Loom as a failsafe that would kick in if needed. Presumably the Loom would also have kicked in if HWR was still alive but just not doing anything about the proliferation!

Everything except the Sacred Timeline.
He didn't destroy the other Alternate Universes, he simply isolated his universe. And anything that diverges/splits from the Sacred Timeline is pruned, doesn't matter whether it posed a threat or not.
Thats clear, but then, when sylvie kills him, it leads to the recreation of lots of other universes and branches,
Not "other" universes. Only the branches of the Sacred Timeline.

The Temporal Loom was a fail-safe. When the TVA stopped doing its work, it got overloaded with branches, which caused it to delete all the branches, leaving only the Sacred Timeline.

So what you say implies that Loki is now only guarding the sacred timeline and its new branched timelines but not the whole of the multiverse?

If you had asked me this before the release of Endgame Encore, I would've said yes. But no, that's not the case. The multiverse is an interconnected system in its natural form. Similarly, when the Sacred Timeline fractured, its branches began growing wildly, forming bridges and connecting with other universes. So when Loki broke the Loom and started holding the branches, he incorporated everything into his Yggdrasil tree. Have you ever looked at a banyan tree? That's kind of what it is.

Not "other" universes. Only the branches of the Sacred Timeline.
So, how many universes exist on the sacred timeline? It can't be just one

In the finale, HWM tells Loki that the loom is a failsafe. If it detects expanding branches, it destroys everything. He did this on purpose because he doesn't want more branches, he wants all roads to lead back to him.
