Old M 175 reset

Post image

Is it possible to set a new combo on these without knowing the old combo? I did a bypass on this salvage lock and was wanting to make it usable!

Nah you need the original combo entered as well as the change key to switch it into change mode. Apparently these are decodeable but I've never done it. It's one of the last locks I'd ever consider using though, if it's for zip tie level security then go bananas but I wouldn't recommend it lol

Lol - the newer version is even worse! Before you needed either 1) a shim or 2) a rock and really good timing. The new version? No shim or rock required. It's got gates so wide and obvious that you could teach a toddler how to decode it.

You can decode it using a core shim, and then reset it from there.
