Support need help installing -no bootable device

I was really happy to try to install linux mint xfce on my laptop. I've put it on a USB, am able to boot it from the USB (and then install it). Though, without usb I am not able to run it. When searching it online it seems I have to select an UEFI file as trused, though this option is nowhere to be found in my bios (I have an Aspire EST -332, Acer).

I tried with chatgpt and it just tells me to check things like if the partition on the laptop is correct. Keep running in circles there...

Here are the pictures of how my bios looks like (without the USB in it):

Any help is very much appreciated. Instead of being fun it is just frustration at the moment....

So you can boot a USB live system, and you think the install completed?

Do boot the USB, check if your internal hard has a FAT32 partition with .efi files, and tell us the names.

If yes, also see what "sudo efibootmgr" prints, and report back.

It looks like it has the FAT32 partition. See that, and the output of efibootmgr in the following picture:

On a side note, when booting from usb, I could choose start linux but there was also an option to edit UEFI firmware. Should I do something there?

So it looks (likely) that only the order is configured wrong. This "2001,2002,2003" lists only some entries from below that are not your install.

Try following command:

sudo efibootmgr --boot-order 2001,0000,2002

(This should be possible to change in the Acer Bios menu too, I guess, but when you already have the terminal open...)

Then shut down, remove the USB, and boot without it. (The current config will prioritize bootable USBs if plugged in. If you don't want that, this can be changed too)

Did the installer give any errors or warnings?

You can also try disabling secure boot see if that makes a difference.

No errors or warnings.

Tried with disabled secure boot. Still "no bootable device".

Thank you for your suggestions
