I need Christmas party recommendations for somewhere we can go from about 7pm for the night and get food and stay for a few drinks. Probably about 20 of us at a minimum. We had booked somewhere but for some reason he's just told me that they've moved me to the earlier slot and I'm not going to be able or want to move everyone from the pub at 8 so I need somewhere we can relax and have a bit of craic for the night. We had it booked for the 4th of December but are flexible so long as it's a Friday night in December as we will come after work and some will go home to get changed. I know it's hard to get a late booking like this and I'm disgusted with the place we had booked with, but they didn't take any deposit so it's not like we had a contract I guess. Any tips for locations appreciated.

Wouldn't it be absolutely unbelievable if the entirety of Lough Gur (I.e. within the boundaries I've marked here) could be designated as a national park, in the care of the state? So much history is contained within such a beautiful landscape. It's a crying shame so little of it is available to walk/hike/explore. What do people think?
