so, for context, im a lebanese born and raised abroad, but have always dreamt of moving to lebanon or spending more time there during the year. im studying a mental health masters and volunteer in mental health charities, and im planning to pursue a career in mental health.

i want to know if theres any mental health volunteering opportunities in lebanon from abroad. this is quite niche but i just wanted to test if its out there since i dont have too many connections to know. (also bearing in mind im like 80% fluent, but havent spoken too much arabic in terms of mental health lol). thanks!

I remember seeing that Beirut Airport installed scanners/e-gates for passengers who checked in online, so they can go directly to security without stopping at the counter.

Has anyone actually used these recently? Or do you still have to queue at the MEA counters even if you already have your boarding pass on your phone?

I ordered a order using a forward service. It was big like 5.45 kg and cost like 600$ . Yeah not cheap at all. The shipping fees cost like 150$. I understand that but the custom fees turn out to be almost 150 $ too so basically I payed double. Curious how do they calculate the custom fees. I should have know ordering a big order was wrong, well I guess I learned my lesson about that and be more careful next time. Just sucks I learned that this way. Also maybe I should find another forward service that cheaper even through I never ordering anything big that again.

In the past there were a couple of mosques that are always open for prayers, now they only open for a little window around prayer times. Those who have work, meetings or are on the go, will have to miss their prayers. Shouldn't mosques be open all the time?? Shouldnt we talk about it and push for it?
