Yeah I know, this game is dead, but honestly, most of you still play time to time. Hence I was looking for new maps, but I didn't find any.
Does anyone know any site with downloable maps or if its possible to create your own maps easily?
(I won't probably get an answer or at least soon lmao)

I`m quite old Lambda Enjoyer, since ~2018 I`d say. Still remember times before crab launcher nerf when it was overpowered asf.
I was always confused by one thing people tend to do in PVP here: they constantly building defense first and ignore flags at all. I call it "Great Defense". It`s very static, expensive and cool looking, but it crumbles so easy by simplest things and guy leave immediately, which is sad.
I installed game today, somehow some guy joined me and we played 2-3 games and it is always constant thing like in old times. Isn`t there any community anymore?

I'm genuinely so upset as to how this game has decided to go out as one of many loyal fans who enjoyed the game. I've never truly checked here on reddit or the discussions page for the game but it sucks to know the team lost motivation/abandoned it. Half Life has so much lore wise it's crazy to see this game be completely left for dead, I can picture so many new maps, so many new units that could be added but instead the developers basically had enough and dropped their child. I love this game and pray it makes a come back someday, I know no devs read this but if in the off chance one does, please come back, maintain the game atleast a little bit, give us a LITTLE bit of new content. From the bottom of my heart though, I will always love this game.

Two new maps recently dropped, Chemiсal Plant and Dark Energy, but i haven't seen any discussion about it. Whats your opinion about them?
Both maps are pretty similar layout wise, clearly ment for large scale matches. Personally i prefer Chemical plant, easier to set up defenses and better access to scrap/power nodes. Also its brighter and more interesting to look at.
Still, i do like both maps and hope there are more coming.

Where did the Save & Load features go? Why the devs removed it in the skirmish mode? I enjoy taking time in battles, sometimes I really want to save & load the game to play later on

Any advice for attempting the overrun gamemode and should I even have extra ai on the field.
(I like playing as the combine but I can't even survive long enough to get to wave 2) What maps can I play to even enjoy the head crab horde? My best attempt was on bridge with 8 ai as it gave me time to set up my floor turrets before I ended losing my base to headcrabs that just magically appear by my hq and destroy it.

Heavy units as in Striders, Crab synths and Dog. In my time playing i don't think I've ever seen those units be played by the AI, even on Hard. A real shame as id like a challenge, fighting swarms of low tier units gets boring when you're all set up defensively, it just becomes a meat grinder.

This Wednesday, August 21st, I’m looking to do a big revival of the game. It hasn’t been updated in a bit, but I just want that one big revival for if only a day. August 21st, from sun up to sun down, let’s have one day of some good, half life strategy fun. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Yeah, I just found out what happened to lambda wars, and it's honestly extremely sad to see the game die out due to lack of passion. I just found out about this game, and although around 20 people play it on average, most of them don't seem to actually get into online games and probably just play offline mode.
The game has so much potential, it's still so fun to play despite the obvious balancing issues and I just wish there was a team of modders/developers that could pick this game up and get it back on it's feet, but unfortunately RTS games as a whole are underappreciated and this game barely gets recognized.
I just wanted to vent here for a bit because it sucks to know that it's more likely this game will die out and be forgotten as a lost legend that could have been great. I truly do hope someone decides to do something with the game, and honestly wish I could be the one to do it, but I have no idea how to develop games and know no one who can.
Best of luck to the people who still play Lambda Wars, me included. I try and get people on whenever I can, but I can only do so much.
- this is madness

Is anyone tired of being kicked out by russian or ukranian kids, players leaving during matches or completely ignoring you for hours ?

Title says all. What happened to Lambda Wars?
It's always been a mystery for me. It seems strange that they'd give the game a full release, then never update the game afterwards or mention anything about leaving the game; especially considering their last update stated that their playercount increased in size, and that there was a lot of articles about the game.
Here, one person says (when translated to English) that the developers said they didn't have time to maintain the game anymore. They apparently said this in another post, but this user doesn't cite the aforementioned post.
Another person speculates that the developers may have gotten hired by Valve, but no definitive evidence exists of this.
Does anyone have a for-sure answer? This has been a question that has been on my mind for a while now. It all seems a little weird to just abandon a game like this.

I saw before mentions of a rebel Jeep and it got me thinking about if it would be possible for other vehicles to show up like the Combine APC. Or maybe a rebel version of the dropship that's just a helicopter with a lambda on it
