Looking for a new stick

Im looking to a get a new stick. I play 2-way middie and have had an ECD mirage 2 graphene with a carbon 3.0 pro power for the past few years. Unfortunately, that stick is falling apart so I need to get a new one.

For the head, something good for GBs and lightweight, but still has some durability -- I want it mainly for offense/shooting, but it should still be good for defense

For the shaft, just something durable, not sure what to look for

Price isn't an issue. I'm considering the MTX and Mirage 3 graphene from ECD, but am definitely open to other options

Thanks!

15 Month Age Chart

Why does USA Lacrosse publish this chart if they're going to plaster disclaimers all over it that they believe the 12 month chart is the way to go and that this is club / event preference. Seems like taking a stand on the issue would be a lot more respectable.

Coaching

Hey I just recently got offered to volunteer for a middle school lacrosse team. And I am coaching the defensive side of the ball. I played for 7 years before I graduated in 2023. But my question is are they any defensive plays i could use that would be easy for a bunch of 11 to 13 years olds to understand.

Time to upgrade son's stick

My 7 year old is going into his third regular season (plus one Fall indoor session) this Spring. Up to this point he's been using a Stringking Complete Junior stick. We're going to be passing that stick down to his little brother and upgrading his stick. Little brother is getting a new helmet, so we're trying to make a show of older brother getting the stick he wants, but, I'm trying to make that more about looks (dye job and stringing) while picking the head and shaft for him. There's a stringer in town that we'll hand it off to.

I'm not TRYING to break the bank, but I'm also not letting cost drive the choice. I'd like something he can use for awhile, but also something that lends itself to someone who is still getting the hang of throwing and catching.

I was hoping for some suggestions of heads you've used and like. I currently have a Stallion 1K and I like it, but that's a pretty small sample size. Thoughts?

D1 Roster tracker

I used AI to create a roster tracker to help 2027 and now 2028 recruits. It also includes about 300 coaches' emails that were accurate as of this summer. If you're a 2028 parent and the recruiting cycle hasn't gone quite as expected, and now you're not sure where to go, this report can help you find potential opportunities. Keep in mind that a great highlight reel on IMLCA and skill-specific highlights on YouTube make the biggest impact. This report just shows you the schools to spend your time and energy engaging with. Quitting senior year

I want to quit my high school sport. I am currently a senior in high school, and I’ve been on the lacrosse team here since freshman year. Since then, the team environment has gone entirely downhill.

Kids will send videos of them at parties doing bad things. The team isn’t uplifting at all; they bring you down if you make a mistake instead of lifting you up. They will mock you of anything. There was a kid that mocked my faith sophomore year.

For being a faith-based school, our coaches and my teammates don’t ask Christ-like at all. I hear of schools in our league that have team Bible studies, or would do community service. In my time being in this program, we’ve never done any of that.

My parents know that I don’t like this team. They don’t like the coaches, kids, and even most of their parents.

The college I want to go to has an mcla team and accepts anyone regardless of skill level, so I’ll still be able to play after high school.

I’ve poured a lot of time and money into this program, only to feel disrespected and undervalued as a person and player. Why love something if it doesn’t love you back?

I want to know everyone’s opinions. I will edit this post if I can think of anymore reasons.

Lf good goalie gear for youth player

Hello,

My daughter just finished her fall lacrosse season. During the season she decided that she loves playing goalie. She is 11 and I fully expect her to grow out of everything I get her within the next couple years if I get her things now. Because of that I don’t want to get a lot new. I have looked all over Sideline Swap, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, etc. to find what she needs and have been pretty successful except for a couple items. I have also contacted some local places to see if they have any of these or can help. I am wondering if anyone may be able to help me out and let me know where to find these.

- Shin guards - I am looking for Small or Youth Large. I was told to just get soccer shin guards but realized that they don’t protect the ankle Well enough.

- Gloves - she is 6 1/2” between the line on her wrist and her middle finger so the 10” is barely going to fit her but she will grow right out of it and the 12” is too big. I am looking for an 11”.

- Cheap aluminum shafts - she has two goalie heads. One will be more of a practice stick and a backup because it is a little more scratched up than the other but now I need shafts for them.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Looking for bulk used adult helmets (Malaysia Lacrosse Association)

Hey all!

I coach and play for the Malaysia Lacrosse Association national team, and I'm based in the US. We're growing the program and need to outfit more adult players on a tight budget.

Our players have been utilizing sideline swap/ebay to buy used helmets but it’s about $70 per helmet to ship to Malaysia….. we’re at the point where it’s just not financially feasible anymore.

My ask: We’re looking for anyone with several adult helmets (5 or more is plenty) who would be willing to ship them to Malaysia. I'll cover the shipping cost and pay upfront.

Helmets don't need to be pristine. They just need to be NOCSAE certified and structurally sound, with no cracked shells or dead pads. Any brand or model is fine as long as it's adult sized.

If you're a club, team, or equipment manager with extra gear sitting around, this could be an easy way to clear it out and help a developing program.

DM me or comment with what you have, rough pricing, and whether you're comfortable shipping internationally.

Thank you all!

Late recruitment help

Im a senior in HS, currently on a top 10 program in the country but i'm deep in the bench. I still really want to try to get recruited, although I know my window is quickly closing. I have had interest previously from smaller d2 and d3 schools, but I really want to send out one last batch of emails out to d1 and some larger d2 and d3 programs. If anyone has any advice or knows of any fall/winter recruiting events that still accept 2027's, please let me know as it would be greatly appreciated.
