Question What are the essential Korean albums from the 90’s?

Like the best albums from the era? Critically and culturally loved, foundational records. From any genre, I just want to listen to the classics and the heavy hitters from then. I cannot find any substantial list or ranking from any major or even minor publication on this which is actually crazy. Please enlighten me!!

The youtube music algo fed me this, but I don't do AI art.

Does anyone know of any non-AI artists that sound like this?

(Don't bother defending AI art to me, you're not going to change my mind.)

Hi, I've been looking for the lyrics to song "Dusk Falls" by Rainy Sun (레이니썬).

I found the lyrics on Bugs! but since I don't have an account, I can't access them (I tried to create one, but being a foreigner made it more difficult).

Can anyone help me get the lyrics?

Song recommendations with the same cadence as Stray Kids' God's Menu.

Found this song very effective for keeping myself on a certain pace when I go for my daily runs.

Thanks!

I found this song recently and want to find more songs like it but I'm not entirely sure about what genre it is. I don't know a whole lot about genres. It sounds kind of Bossa Nova-ish to me, but IDK. Also, do you have any recommendations for similar songs? Thanks in advance :)

Question Lee Hee Moon, leader of OBSG, has a tradition of integrating Korean folk music with other, poppier music. Does this performance at Tiny Desk Korea have any elements of Korean folk music, and what are they?

Question Can someone find the version of this Jo Duck Bai song for me?

I looked on Youtube and it sounds different from the one on Insta, but it doesn't say that there are any alternate versions of this song when I searched for it. Is this like a remix or something?

Question Can anyone tell me who this singer-songwriter is? Seen on “Home Alone” / 나 혼자 산다

I’m watching Home Alone episode 566, where the guest (yoon ga i / 윤가이) has a bonfire with some friends, and this friend is a singer-songwriter with possibly the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. They call her Susan once, and mention that she’s released at least one album. At the time, she was living in SoDo village. I’ve tried transcribing and searching the lyrics, but I don’t speak Korean at all, so I’m not making a lot of headway. Does anyone recognize her or know how to find her music? I’m dying to listen to it. Thank you!!!

I've been listening to this song for a good while now and I've always wanted to know the original sample because I'm assuming there is one but everytime I try and search up the lyrics I can't find anything. I know for a fact this song is partly sung in Korean but I'm not sure if this is a kpop song specifically or if its something more in the realms of like k-rnb or k-indie or whatever but I'm just gonna ask here just in case. heres the song link and I'm pretty sure this is just a remix of the original song to egyptian pools by jinsang but yea, please help <3

Question Need help finding song

Post image

I saw a comment saying it might’ve been by the artist Crush and the beat may have been remixed. Not sure, but it’s a romantic rnb song and in the chorus they sing “show me what you, show me what you got.” And throughout the whole song, the beat has a vocal repeating “eh.” But as i said it may have been a remix so i don’t know. I hope someone can help. Thank you

Question I can’t find a specific female Korean artist and I need help… | DIH (NOT ENOUGH) (2022)

A while back, I was on YouTube Music and I came across this female artist that at first I thought was Japanese since those songs are usually what I listen to. I listened to the song and it was straight gas and fire 🔥🔥 when the song started, I realized the song was in Korean but it didn’t matter cause it was awesome!! Only problem was I never saved the song to my library or anything like that so I don’t remember who the artist is.

I don’t remember how many subscribers the artist had but I remember it was in my recommendations so for the artist to be recommended is a pretty big deal, I feel like. Maybe potentially 90K-100K subscribers but again, not sure. It was a female artist that primarily used a rock sound with alternative rock parts to it and I can’t remember if there were any pop elements but I feel like there was.

Like I said, I tried looking through my artist search history but it wasn’t there even though I vividly remember opening the artist page to check out the EP or Album the song resided in (I can’t even remember what that was too). Also, the song I listened too had a name in English and if I remember correctly, she uses words like either “call”, “phone”, or something like that. The album cover was her with her guitar in a white background (remembering to the best of my knowledge here).

Anyways, that’s all I can remember. It would be great if anyone can figure it out because I wanna hear more of her music especially from how insane that song was the first time I heard it. So if anyone has any clue, please let me know and that would be very much appreciated.

The link I shared is to music that resembles the artist I’m thinking of. It’s not exactly the same vibe (this song is a little bit more hardcore than the song and artist I’m thinking of but you get the idea).
