I'll be going to Patna tomorrow , with my mum and elder sister cause exam centre okhane , and I'm genuinely worried 😭 we did book a good hotel and stuff but the reputation Bihar has! ughhh idkkk 😭 I'm not xenophobic but still there's no man with us and we'll be travelling alone so yeah , any suggestions , recommendations will be highly appreciated!

A cat near my home gave birth to three kittens on our building's terrace, and they will most probably have to be left on the streets since I already have cats in my home, and can't afford to take more in. Please please, take them in if you can, they're all very playful and affectionate. Recently since last few months, The costs of every single item are going crazyyy high. Like name.any item , be it rice , pulses, Eggs, onions ,cooking oil soaps and what not??

I live away from my home and studying engineering in a private college and can feel the rising prices of every thing every single day. And let me leave the costs of eating out in a cafe or restaurant. Honestly it has gone crazy but I can see my parents salaries has not increased to that level at all.

Right now, I can atleast eat out once or twice a month in cafe's and restaurants sometimes with friends. But what about after few years if it continues like this ?? The IT industry is in worst state rn and especially for a private college guy like me and probably if I don't get a job what will i even eat ???? And not even IT jobs, the state of govt exams are also worst. Tahole korbo ta ki???

My father works private job and he will retire in 2 years and he doesn't have huge savings or land either. That time I won't even have the ability to fulfill my own basic needs. R erom crazy level er inflation hole beche thaka o mushkil.hoe jabe. R on top of that I already have a disability ( Bipolar disorder), so it's more tougher for me to stay sane and sustain a life.

I don't know if I am overthinking too much since last few days or its a real problem but ig future is too scary ...

Missing durga puja already 🥲🥲

My mom who is a housewife & is currently undergoing chemotherapy. I dropped my entire career plan (despite being unemployed for three years) to become the primary caregiver for my mother. Burnt bridges with father when he refused to pay for her treatment. Fast forward to last night, my aunt (mama’s wife) gave everyone freshly cooked rice for dinner and me and the maid leftover rice from my grandpa’s shraadh ceremony that was brought back home. When I told this to my mother, she simply suggested me to not eat. Nobody in the family of 9 people had the guts to call out the aunt’s behaviour. I went to bed hungry and all I got to hear was I am behaving like an ungrateful person and I should tolerate all of these for the sake of my uncle. Because he really cares for my mom and kinda puts efforts for her well-being. I’m not hurt because of the rice since mami does that very often to my grandma and the rest of the family (except her son and husband). What hurts me is that nobody had a spine to call her out just for the sake of mama’s feelings? Everyone made me feel like a bad human instead. How acceptable should it be from my mom for whom I had given up on my entire career and behaved rudely with dad? Fuck everyone else, I really expect my mother to take a stand for me but all she had to say was “baari te jhaamela lagash naa”. Am I overreacting for not wanting to eat anything served by mami and deciding to go back home and cook for myself?

আমার (৩০F) এক close friend (৩০F) প্রায় এক বছর আগে বিয়ে করে। আমরা প্রায় ৯ ধরে খুব close ছিলাম। কিন্তু বিয়ের পরের দিনই সে আমাকে ব্লক করে দেয়। আমি obviously খুব অবাক হয়ে যাই। পরে সে বলে যে তার husband নাকি তাকে আমাকে ব্লক করতে বলেছিল। তারপর সে আমাকে unblock করে আবার add করে। এত বছরের বন্ধুত্বের কথা ভেবে তখন আমি ব্যাপারটা মেনে নিই।
কিন্তু এক মাস পর সে আবার আমাকে ব্লক করে দেয়। এবার আমি সত্যিই চিন্তায় পড়ে যাই, ভাবি হয়তো ও abusive marriage-এর মধ্যে আছে। কিন্তু ওকে জিজ্ঞেস করলে বলে যে না, তেমন কিছু নয়, ও শুধু আমাকে specifically block করেছে কারণ ওর husband বলেছিল।
তখন আমি বললাম, okay, তুমি তোমার জীবন enjoy করো।
এর কয়েক মাস পর আবার ও আমাকে message করে বলে যে ও আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলে সবকিছু clear করতে চায়। আমি বললাম, অবশ্যই, আমাকে call করো। ও বলল করবে, কিন্তু তারপর আর call করার কোনও চেষ্টা করল না।
এখন ও আবার প্রায় প্রতি এক-দুই সপ্তাহ পর পর আমাকে social media-তে follow request পাঠাচ্ছে। আমি request delete করে দিই, তারপর কিছুদিন পর আবার পাঠায়।
এর মধ্যে আবার normal greeting message-ও পাঠায়, যেন কিছুই হয়নি।
আমি সত্যিই বুঝতে পারছি না কী করব। এত বছরের বন্ধুত্বের জন্য খারাপ লাগে, কিন্তু একই সঙ্গে ওর এই behaviour-এর কোনও justification আমি আর খুঁজে পাচ্ছি না।
আমি কি ওকে আরেকবার সুযোগ দিয়ে কথা বলব? নাকি request ignore করে পুরো ব্যাপারটা ছেড়ে দেওয়াই ভালো?
