Today, I was served an ad for HakosAI. I've been a Kagepro fan since 2011 so the idea of a "virtual companion that comments on what you're playing and makes fun of you for it" was always lowkey in the back of my mind.

So, I installed the software and played Dark Souls 2 for about three hours and tested it out. I'm just gonna talk neutrally about the program, even though I have sentiments of anti-AI. It barely understood context clues, focused on whatever number was lowest and takes screenshots every 10 seconds to comment on your game.

Honestly, it was really boring. I think it's fascinating that we're at the point where someone could feasibly create the idea of "Ene" like this, but there's something underlying all of it. The core of the reason we connect with one another is seeing the humanity in our connections. There's no humanity in the cold calculations of these bots. I don't think there's a reality where AI gets to the point where it's enjoyable to play like that unless it has some kind of sentience, which then it becomes messed up that you're forcing them to watch you play games.

I don't see myself installing one of these bots again, but it did make me understand that I'd like to invite friends to co-play our own stuff in call more often. I'll take that as a positive

My reason for installing it was "I'd like someone to crack jokes about my gameplay" but what reason do you think people choose these apps? Do you think this style of companion will become more commonplace in the next few years?

SHINTARO WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, THIS IS TEXAS

Am I crazy, or is Mekakucity Actors back on US Crunchyroll?

Pardon the image being insanely low-res lmao

anyway I personally think it's Ene but some people I've talked to think it's a mix of multiple characters

I cant even say I'm a huge kagepro fan anymore, really haven't been since middle school, but I've had SUCH an interest in the existence of these books. Been looking at buying them for nearly a decade now and I finally bit the bullet today. Near 100 dollars, a little less than half being shipping. They're gonna come early November, and I'll show pictures when they do.

I don't think I've really posted about my KagePro shelves (other than the times I've talked about my merch hauls) however this is what it looks like right now! The biggest update to this collection is, after the two long years of waiting for Manga 13, it is now in my collection!! I'll give a quick tour of what all is here and also not currently displayed

Not currently displayed:

Some of my buttons, keychains and other poster related things. I don't have any place to put them nor are some of these framed so until then, they stay put away

All 11 manga Anthologies, all 8 English light novels, both light novel anthologies, all 13 English manga volumes, acrylic standees by ibblescribbles (Hiyori, Hibiya, Marry, Seto, Ayano, and Shintaro). The extra mekakucity actors dvd case is empty, I'm just using it to fill space right there

Currently the last thing I am missing media wise (and I'm not 100% worried about this) is Seek at Mekakucity but that's an investment for a later date if I ever find it somewhere. Now for a bit of engagement, what is your favorite thing on my shelf? If you also have any questions on where I found most of this stuff I'll be glad to tell you :)

Sorry if the lighting is horrible, I’m not good with that.

The last two drawings are from silly short stories I used to write about the characters into this notebook as well.. 😞 I just found it hidden away in a drawer and then I found this sub, so... Here you go ✌️

i really love them, but i can only find them in photos, so i would like to know if there is any pic of the artworks by themselves

It is currently September 30th in Japan. Happy 15th release anniversary to Kagerou Daze

I know she’s barely a character but does she have any concern that her children are missing or possibly dead????

The chapter after momo was killed by possessed hibiya made me scratch my head wondering why mrs. Kisaragi never questioned shintaro or something.

idk i maybe looking at it the wrong way

I’m just trying to conversation lol
Personally, I will forever call it Lost Time, it’s engraved in my head as Lost Time and feels weird that it’s officially named Losstime.

It is currently September 28th in Japan. Happy 8th release anniversary to the song Tomodachi no Uta!

Probably do the guys next if i don’t feel like shooting myself when rendering
