Selling my hooded mackinaw coat size small for $325. No rips stains or tears. I do have a husky and if she so much as looks at this thing, fur appears on it. I will brush it as best I can but might recommend dry cleaning if you hate any loose fur. Only worn a handful of times bought it last season. No rips stains or tears. Making room for more jackets. Located in the US only willing to ship domestically.

I've been looking into making a custom jacket for a small clothing project, and I didn't realize how many details affect the final result until I started comparing different styles and materials.
At first, I thought the main thing would be getting the design right. But now I'm paying more attention to the fabric weight, zipper quality, stitching, lining, and even how the jacket fits around the shoulders. Two jackets can look almost identical in photos but feel completely different when you actually wear them.
I'm also trying to figure out how much customization is worth it. Embroidery, patches, custom labels, and small details can make a jacket feel more personal, but they can also add up quickly. Since I'm not planning to order a huge quantity, I want to be careful about spending money on features that won't make much difference to the finished piece.
I'd rather have one jacket that feels solid and comfortable than something with lots of details that doesn't hold up after regular use. The tricky part is knowing what to look for before committing to a design or production method.
For those who know a lot about jackets, what details do you notice first when judging their quality? Is it mostly the material and construction, or do things like lining, hardware, and finishing make the biggest difference?

Ciao a tutti,
Grazie!
