💎 Megathread [Megathread] The App Shelf — October 2026

# Welcome to The App Shelf

You must promote your apps here if you do not qualify to post in the main feed through Trust or Transparency, as explained in our [Phase 2 Moderation Update](https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1u9aw0f/).

You are also required to limit promotion to this megathread if you:

* Do not yet have 10 local community karma in r/iOSApps.

* Are promoting an app that uses Generative AI or is an AI-wrapper.

* Are promoting a "Vibe Coded" app (AI-generated without manual validation).

# 📋 Required Format

All promotion MUST follow the ABC format or it will be removed:

* \[App Name/Title\] (Screenshot encouraged!)

* A — Answer: What problem does your app solve?

* B — Better: Name a competitor(s) and explain what you do better.

* C — Cost: Pricing details (Free/IAP/Sub/Lifetime) + App Store Link.

P.S. Promotion here counts towards the 30-day limited promotion rule (Rule 2).

# ⚠️ WARNING

There is a high probability that Reddit’s filters will auto-remove your comment here if:

  1. You have not verified your email in your Reddit profile.
  2. Your very first interaction in this sub is a promotional link.

For the Community: Please remember to upvote gems and downvote spam/clones. Your feedback in this thread will directly influence which apps we highlight in future community showcases!

📢 Announcement Clarification of Trust and Transparency

I'd like to further explain the rules found here since many people keep asking why their posts are removed:

https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1u9aw0f/riosapps_moderation_update_phase_2_trust/

Snippets below.

To qualify for the main feed, you need to satisfy 10 local karma requirements firstly. But this is what it means to be on the 2 tiers above Megathread:

Tier 1 — The Trust Path → Main Feed

Any one of these signals qualifies you for the main feed (as long as you also meet the 10+ community karma minimum):

  • App Store track record — your app has 20+ ratings/reviews on the App Store (number subject to change).
  • Established GitHub project — a real development history (100+ stars on any GitHub repo).
  • Recognized Developer — you've been granted an app-name developer flair (already well-known / trusted in r/iOSApps, at moderator discretion).

If you have any of these, you've already earned a measure of trust. Post to the main feed.

You have established yourself and the mods recognize that. We trust you to do the right thing for the goods of the subreddit. But do not abuse it.

Tier 2 — The Transparency Path → Main Feed

Not in the App Store yet and not an established developer? You can still qualify for the main feed by being open about who you are and giving users real reasons to trust you.

Posts on this path must include BOTH:

  1. A real-life identity and real contact details — your actual name and a way to reach you (an established company or business presence, a portfolio, LinkedIn). This shows you're not a throwaway account dropping unknown software.
  2. A website with a published Privacy Policy and Terms of Service — linked directly in your post. This is not a replacement for the App Store link, but rather in addition to.

This is the middle ground: you may not have a major reputation yet, but you're willing to stand behind your app in public. What we look for is the developer history or in the case of company, the willingness to take financial responsibility for it.

Not a throwaway account, not an app social account, not something people can spring up within an afternoon (gmail address, website without domain, etc.)

Thank you for your understanding to make the sub a better place for everyone. We would all benefit from the filtered visibility for quality apps.

💎 Lifetime My music player Isai got featured by App Store Editors "Great apps on iPhone Duo"

Thumbnail
gallery
17 Upvotes

Isai launched on 19 Oct, and today it appeared in the App Store Editors’ “Great apps on iPhone Duo” collection (Singapore & Malaysia I am unsure whether it is featured elsewhere), but honestly, seeing it there at all made my whole day!

What it does:

- Bit-perfect playback of FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF and DSD
- Streams straight from your own MEGA, Dropbox or WebDAV (Nextcloud, Synology), no server in between and no transcoding. You can also add your Local files and Apple music as a source
- DSD goes out as DoP to DACs that support it, and is carefully converted to PCM for everything else
- On Mac, Isai takes exclusive access to your DAC, matches its sample rate and bit depth to the file
- Play On: control the Mac/iPad wired to your good DAC from your phone on the sofa, all on your local network
- Pure Music on iPhone Duo: the app becomes an 80s style cassette player, CD player or turntable, and the cover screen turns into the player when folded
- Works across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV with iCloud sync

Pricing: free for local files and Apple Music. A one-time Pro ($9.99) purchase unlocks cloud sources, Play On and Pure Music. No subscription, no ads, no data collected.

Alternatively, if you prefer only the Pure music mode with retro themes, you may unlock it through an in-app purchase of $2.99.

Some of you might notice similarities with Deck-Man. I'd been working on a similar idea for a while too, and honestly I'm really happy for its dev. It's great to see more people building music apps with this much love for the old hardware. Go check it out as well.

The real inspiration was dedicated music players like the Sony NW-A100 and the FiiO M21. That said, the retro theme is only the part people notice first.

"Isai" means music in Tamil.

Happy to answer questions, and feedback is very welcome.

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6808984060

Note: I am aware of a problem with streaming DSD, so I am submitting an app update, version 1.0.5.

💎 Lifetime AfterShift: sleep tracking for people who work shifts, counted shift to shift instead of midnight to midnight

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

A. What it solves

Sleep apps assume you sleep at night. If you work nights, they score you against a clock you don't keep. The 90 minute nap before a 12 hour night shows up as a bad night, and the sleep you get after the shift is split across two calendar days.

AfterShift starts from your roster. A day is the gap between the end of one shift and the start of the next. Sleep and naps from Apple Health inside that gap count toward a recovery score for your next shift, and sleep debt is tracked per shift cycle.

You set your rotation once (4 on 4 off, 2-2-3, fixed nights, or your own cycle of any length) and it fills in the next 8 weeks. If your shifts are already in a calendar, it can import them from there. Caffeine cutoff, wind down and nap reminders fire relative to when your next shift starts.

The images are the widgets: next shift countdown, readiness, tonight's plan, roster, sleep graph, rhythm and sleep debt. Small up to the iOS 27 full page size, plus Lock Screen widgets and a Live Activity for naps.

B. Compared to the alternatives

* RISE ($69.99/yr) is built around a regular sleep rhythm, and its own help centre says it doesn't record daytime sleep automatically. AfterShift counts day sleep and naps without you logging them. If you keep regular hours, RISE is the more complete app.

* Timeshifter ($6.99/mo or $69.99/yr) plans light, caffeine and melatonin to move your body clock. It doesn't track sleep. If shifting your clock is the goal, use Timeshifter. AfterShift tracks how you actually recovered.

* ShiftSleep is a manual log with Apple Health import behind Pro. AfterShift reads Apple Health on the free tier.

No account, no analytics SDKs, and the data stays on the phone. The App Store label is "Data Not Collected". Health access is read only.

Automatic import needs something that writes sleep to Apple Health, like a Watch or another wearable, because an iPhone alone no longer records sleep. You can also enter sleep by hand.

C. Cost

Free: roster, sleep import, recovery score, shift-timed reminders, and the Next Shift, Readiness, Shift Plan and Roster widgets.

Pro adds the Sleep Graph, Rhythm and Sleep Debt widgets, background sync for multiple calendars, overtime tracking, and explanations written on device by Apple Intelligence.

* $3.99 / month

* $24.99 / year

* $39.99 one time, lifetime

Family Sharing on all levels.

🎁 Freemium Elapsed update: counters now sit behind fog that thickens the longer it's been

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hi again, I'm Jonathan, I shared Elapsed here in September (https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1wh15nt/). Since then I added the design I'm proudest of: Fog.

A - What problem does it solve?

Elapsed counts the days since you last did something: called your parents, changed the filter, got a haircut, had a drink. One big number per counter, on a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget. The trouble with a number is that it's easy to ignore. Fog makes it visible without a red badge or a nagging notification.

B - What's new

  • Fog. Your counter sits behind slow, drifting fog that gets thicker the longer it's been. Log it and the air clears. Something you haven't touched in months is buried, with its icon showing through as a faint apparition.
  • Log without opening the app Say "Log Gym in Elapsed" to Siri, or put Log Counter on the Action Button, Shortcuts or Spotlight. It works from the Lock Screen and replies "Logged Gym. It had been 12 days."
  • A dark look for every widget, the free ones included.
  • Six app icons with dark and tinted versions.
  • Spanish, Portuguese and German, alongside English and French.

What it doesn't do yet: Lock Screen widgets can't log, only the Home Screen widget can. The Home Screen widget's fog refreshes when you open the app, so if you never open the app, the widget's fog stops thickening.

The core hasn't changed. Elapsed doesn't decide whether a big number is good or bad, there are no streaks to break, there's no account, and your counters stay on your iPhone.

C - Cost and App Store link

  • Free: unlimited counters, reminders, full history and stats, every widget (dark versions included), and the Siri, Shortcuts and Action Button logging. No ads.
  • Elapsed Plus, $7.99 one time: Fog and the rest of the design library, background tones, and alternate app icons. No subscription, ever. (It was $4.99 when I posted in September. The price went up with 1.2.)

Happy to answer anything. What's the one thing you'd want to watch disappear into fog?

💎 Lifetime [iOS] Trovelo — $9.99 → $6.99 Lifetime

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

A - Answer:

Planning a trip usually means juggling Notes, Google Maps, spreadsheets and a pile of booking emails. Trovelo puts it all on one board, day by day: flights, hotels, places to eat, the map and what everything costs. You can plan it together with the people you travel with, and on the Mac, Claude can even build the trip for you. No account, no ads, and Trovelo has no servers of its own. Built by a solo developer who has been to 40+ countries and 300+ cities.

B - Better:

Unlike most travel apps:

* No Trovelo servers: syncs privately via iCloud only

* No account required, no subscription

* Native iPhone, iPad and Mac apps: same trip, same board, everywhere

* 13 languages, end to end: the whole app is translated, and smart parsing understands all 13. Type "Cena en Casa Lucio 21:30 45€" in Spanish, Japanese, Korean or Chinese and Trovelo picks up time, price and type automatically

* Claude MCP integration (Mac): tell Claude "plan me 4 days in Rome" and watch the trip build itself inside Trovelo live, with flights, trains and hotels included

* NEW: Split costs with your group. One shared pot per trip, Trovelo works out who owes whom in the fewest payments, and everyone sees it in their own currency

* NEW: Your trips in Apple Calendar. Every day of the trip and every plan with a time show up there, on iPhone and Mac

* NEW: One trip, several cities. Lisbon, Porto and Madrid in a single trip, and each day knows where it is

* NEW: Import bookings from your emails. A screenshot or PDF of a flight, hotel or car rental becomes a card, confirmation code filled in

* NEW: Photo pins. Every stop on the trip map shows its own picture, numbered in the order of your day

* NEW: Your whole trip as a magazine-style PDF, with every flight and train printed as a ticket

* NEW: Flight day on your lock screen. Your boarding pass, with the plane moving along the route

* NEW: Made for iPhone Duo and iPad, with your days and the map side by side

* Shared trips: invite the people travelling with you and everyone works on the same board

* Your travel life: a map of every country and city you've been to, built from your own photo library, with passport stamps, flags and a year-by-year timeline

* Someday: save the places you love now, turn them into a real trip later

* Packing list that checks your destination's forecast and plug type, and the weather next to each day's plan

* Time per card and a daily pace, Documents filed with each trip, and a full backup in one file

* Dateless Trips, Smart City Detection, Multi-day Stay support

* Route optimization, curated city and road-trip guides with day-by-day maps

* Dual currency tracking with live exchange rates

* Lock screen widgets, Live Activities & iCloud sync across all devices

* Core features work offline

Almost everything marked NEW up there started as someone's comment. Trovelo gets better every week, and what comes next is decided by the people using it.

For feature requests and ideas: r/trovelo 🖤

C - Cost:

* Free: up to 2 active trips and 50 cards per trip

* 🎉 Limited offer: Pro at $6.99 instead of $9.99. Yours forever, no subscription.

💎 Lifetime Pingers for Network Tools - Ping, Latency, Port Scan, Traceroute & WHOIS - [Halloween Special: Lifetime $3.99]

Post image
1 Upvotes

A – What problem does it solve?

You hop on a stream, or start working remotely and something feels off. Is it your Wi-Fi? The server? Your ISP? Most people just guess. Pingers gives you the answer in seconds.

  • Home Screen Widget: Live latency for your favorite services at a glance
  • Latency Check: Real-time ping to YouTube, Netflix, Discord and more with Favorites to pin what matters most
  • Ping: By IP or domain with a live graph, detailed stats like latency, RTT, packet loss, and CSV or JSON export
  • Port Scan: Custom ranges and scan speeds
  • Traceroute: See every hop and find the bottleneck
  • DNS Lookup: Query any domain instantly
  • WHOIS: 47+ registries, ownership, expiration, status
  • IP Config: Local & Global IP, Gateway, DNS, DHCP and full Network Interfaces
  • Favorites: Save unlimited servers for quick access
  • Works on iPhone & iPad with Dark Mode because obviously 🙄

What’s new since my last post:

  • Brand new onboarding, shorter and straight to the point

B – Why is it better than alternatives?

Most network tools are either bloated, ad-infested, or look like they were designed for Windows 95 (actual quote from a user). Pingers is built by a network engineer, so the feature set is serious but the design doesn’t make you feel like you’re filing a support ticket.

⭐️ Rated 5 stars in the US / 4.6 stars globally

  • “It gives me the exact info I need, when I need it. No ad-infested hoops, no ‘try our other apps’ reminders. It does what it claims, and does it extremely well.” — App Store Review, US
  • “It’s nice to see something that does not cost a fortune but generally provides useful tools. Highly recommended!” — App Store Review, US
  • "Very useful app! Affordable also." — App Store Review, DE

6 years on the App Store, solo-built and maintained, 100% private. No ads. No tracking. No account. No data collection.

💎 Lifetime MoodSheet: log your mood in three seconds, nothing else

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I'm the dev.

A – Answer

MoodSheet is a mood tracker with one gesture: slide to pick today's mood and it's saved. One mood per day, a calendar to look back, and a few simple stats.

B – Better

I'm a developer and designer, and some of my days get stressful. I wanted to track how I feel, but every mood app I tried felt like homework: tags, journals, long questions. I'd quit within a week. MoodSheet keeps it to three seconds.

No account, no ads, no subscription, no tracking. Your data stays on your device and restores from iCloud if you switch phones. Missed a day? Tap it in the calendar to add or fix it.

iPhone only. English and Turkish.

C – Cost

One-time purchase, $1.99. No in-app purchases, no subscription.

🎈 Free [Free] TypeUps Thoughts: anonymous thoughts connected into journeys

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

ANSWER

TypeUps is a quiet place to write one short thought anonymously and discover thoughts from other people that are connected by meaning.

Write up to 180 characters, post without creating an account or public profile, and then choose where the thought takes you.

BETTER

Most social platforms organise content around people, profiles, followers, likes and comments. TypeUps removes those elements.

Instead, it connects thoughts into three possible directions:

• The closest related thought
• The same feeling in a different situation
• A different but relevant direction

The thoughts you follow form a journey saved on your device. The focus remains on the thought rather than the identity or popularity of the person who wrote it.

COST

TypeUps is free to download and use. No account is required.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/typeups-thoughts/id6813353557

Developer: Threestart Limited
Website: https://www.typeups.com
Privacy: https://www.typeups.com/privacy
Terms: https://www.typeups.com/terms

I would be interested to hear whether the connected-thought journey feels meaningfully different from a conventional anonymous feed.

📅 Subscription [iOS] iKima: guided breathing with optional camera RMSSD and Apple Watch HR/HRV

A: Practice and personal signals

iKima guides your breathing on iPhone with visual cues and haptic guidance. On Apple Watch, you can follow the breathing phases with wrist taps, so you can practice without watching the screen.

You can optionally use your iPhone camera for a pulse check-in before and after a practice. iKima uses the camera’s pulse signal to calculate RMSSD when both readings meet the app’s quality requirements. This is separate from Apple Watch HRV: Watch HRV and resting heart rate come from Apple Health.

The free version includes a basic post-practice body signal. Premium adds your relaxation trend, including changes in camera-measured RMSSD across eligible sessions, plus Watch HRV and resting heart rate in the context of your personal range. These are personal observations, not a diagnosis.

B: Free and Premium

Free

  • 60-second guided belly breathing, with haptic guidance
  • Available on iPhone and Apple Watch
  • Complete practice history, streaks, and practice progress
  • Basic post-practice body signal

Premium

  • Four additional breathing practices: 4-7-8, box breathing, resonance breathing, and physiological sigh
  • Personal insights and recommendations based on your practice patterns
  • Relaxation trends, including RMSSD changes from eligible iPhone camera readings
  • Apple Watch HRV and resting heart rate shown against your personal 30-day range

C: Cost and privacy

The app has a free version and an optional Premium subscription. US 4.99/month; US 29.99/annual

I’d love to hear what feels useful or confusing, especially if you try iKima with just an iPhone or with an Apple Watch.

iKima is currently available in most markets, with EU availability coming soon.

🎁 Freemium Weather app that shows which forecast is actually right where you live. Now checked against real weather stations, plus a free Apple Watch app

Post image
29 Upvotes

TL;DR

  • No weather forecast is the most accurate everywhere. The best one changes from city to city, and VeriSky shows you which one wins at your location.
  • It's now checked against real airport weather stations. Apple Weather usually lands mid-table. VeriSky's Blend beat it at almost 9 out of 10 airports
  • New: a free Apple Watch app, lock screen widgets, light mode and a (Liquid) glass look.

Hi! I'm Nick, the solo developer of VeriSky. I built it because I kept checking several weather apps before going sailing or planning something outside, and I could never remember which one had actually been right last time. So VeriSky keep track of that: it saves what every forecast predicted, compares it with what really happened, and scores them for your location.

I shared it here a few months ago and got a lot of great feedback. Here is how I implemented it

A: Answer

The biggest criticism back then was fair: I was checking forecasts against a model's reconstruction of the weather (which takes measurements as input), but not real measurements. So my server now compares every forecast with what (airport) weather stations actually measured, at 154 weather stations around the world. You can also add your own personal weather station or start tracking one nearby you.

Ten different forecasts came out on top for temperature somewhere. A model that's great in New York can be mediocre in Amsterdam. Picking the right one for your spot matters more than which app is the biggest.

B: Better (the things you asked for)

  • Apple Watch app (free): today at a glance, yesterday's forecast check, temperature and rain complications
  • Lock screen widgets
  • A Drift tab that shows how the forecast for a day changed each day, next to what actually happened
  • A score map showing which forecast wins where at any location in the world
  • The Today tab just shows the Blend, for those who said "just pick the best one for me"
  • Light mode, Liquid Glass and 16 languages

C: Cost

Free, no login, no data collection. Everything that was free stays free, including all national models, the scores, the maps, widgets and the watch app. Pro ($2.99/month or $19.95/year) adds Apple Weather and the other commercial forecasts, rain nowcast and sports windows, which covers the API and server costs.

💎 Lifetime Your Stressy: one simple energy number from your Apple Watch, now with Body Age, Workout Zones, iPhone Duo support and much more. $4.99 once, never a subscription

Thumbnail
gallery
13 Upvotes

Answer, Better, Cost

  • Answer: how much energy do you have left today? Stressy turns your Apple Watch's sleep, heart rate and HRV into one number, your reserve, from 0 to 100%. Sleep fills it, stress drains it.
  • Better: one number instead of a dashboard, and it carries on from day to day instead of resetting every morning. Everything is calculated on your iPhone and Apple Watch: no account, no servers, no analytics. Built only with Apple's frameworks and Liquid Glass, and made for iPhone Duo too.
  • Cost: $4.99 once. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Hi everyone, I'm Ervo, the developer of Your Stressy.

Let me introduce Your Stressy, an app with a flawless UI/UX (Swift, Liquid Glass and more), crazy haptics, and 120 Hz ProMotion optimization (CADisableMinimumFrameDurationOnPhone), made for iPhone and Apple Watch.

What it does

Using your Apple Watch's sleep tracking, it gives you battery-like feedback on your health stats through the day: one number, your reserve, from 0 to 100%. On top of that you get readiness for training and bedtime coaching, with great charts for your reserve and stress. There are widgets for iPhone and Apple Watch in several variants, so it's all customizable to your preference.

What's new since launch

I've shipped nine free updates in the first week, most of them from feedback:

  • Body Age: how old your fitness and habits look, in years. It compares your cardio fitness, resting heart rate, steps and sleep with what's typical for your age and sex, and turns the difference into years the way phenotypic age does. The page shows every step and the studies behind it, so it's not a black box.
  • Workouts: your route on a map, pace, heart rate, elevation, and time in each heart rate zone, matching Apple's Workout app.
  • Sleep: your night by stages (Awake, REM, Core, Deep) with recovery, HRV and heart rate asleep.
  • Steps and distance: hour by hour, with new Steps and Distance widgets for iPhone and Apple Watch.
  • How it works: a page that explains the reserve in plain words, and a "Why?" under the bedtime coach that shows how tonight's bedtime is worked out, step by step.
  • iPhone Duo: open it and the tank sits on one side, your whole day on the other.
  • Share: turn any day, workout or your Body Age into a story video or image.
  • Now runs on iOS 26 and watchOS 26 too.

How it calculates

The whole calculation algorithm is custom made. The data comes from Apple Health: sleep, HR, RHR, HRV and other parameters go into the formula that calculates your stress, battery and readiness. Everything is calculated on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and your health data never leaves them.

Price

A fixed price of $4.99. I personally don't like in-app subscriptions, and I think a one-time payment is the fairest option, so Stressy will never have a subscription. Every update above was free, and the next ones will be too.

A lot more features are coming, and some are already in the pipeline.

A bit of history, and how it was made

A year ago, after 11+ years as a software engineer, I decided to slowly start learning Swift. These days it's so much easier to learn any programming language with the help of Claude: the syntax, which used to cost a lot of time, is now almost instant. I always wanted to build native app experiences. As mainly a frontend person, I know that Flutter and similar frameworks can never get you to a 100% native experience.

If you have any feedback, positive or negative criticism, anything, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/your-stressy/id6822681002

Official landing page: https://stressy.ervo.rocks/

I'd really appreciate it if you could share any feedback you have, for sure it will be handled in the next few builds. Thanks.

💎 Lifetime [iOS] Mealify 2.0: Snap your pantry, get meals you can actually make (Free)

Post image
5 Upvotes

A — Answer:

I built Mealify because I kept staring into my fridge with no idea what to cook. You take one photo of your pantry, it figures out what you have, suggests meals you can actually make, and builds a shopping list for whatever's missing.

B — Better:

New in 2.0 (all of this came from comments on my last post):

- Receipt scanner: photograph a grocery receipt and the items go straight into your pantry

- Shared pantries: one pantry for the whole house, live sync so everyone stays updated

- Smart recipe parsing + HTML importer: paste recipe text or import from a site and it's organized for you

Already in the app:

- One-photo pantry scan, no manual entry

- Missing-ingredient detection before you start cooking

- Weekly meal plans built from what you already have

- No data collected, nothing tracked or sold

C — Cost:

Free to download and use. The free version includes 3 pantry scans per week and automatic meal planning from your pantry inventory.

If you end up using it a lot, there's an optional one-time lifetime unlock for unlimited scans. No subscription, ever. It's $4.99 right now instead of $24.99 until Friday, but there's no pressure, try it free first, you can also come back and redeem it!

Download (free): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6746368726

Lifetime unlock code, if you want it: MEALIFY2

Redeem link: https://apps.apple.com/redeem/?ctx=offercodes&id=6746368726&code=MEALIFY2

Every NEW feature above started as someone's comment. If you want something built next, tell me.

A (What is it?): Remindly is an iOS reminder app designed to keep your daily routines and to-dos organized cleanly.

Remindly helps people create everyday reminders quickly without repeatedly configuring the same details.

B (Why use it?): Remindly combines several reminder workflows without forcing everything into a recurring schedule

-Templates are for reminders you want to reuse whenever needed.
-Routines launch an entire sequence of reminders.
-Voice Reminder provides a quick starting point while still letting you verify every detail.
-Calendar Import shows suggestions rather than automatically copying everything from your Calendar.
-Custom snooze actions let you choose the postponement times that suit you.

*Versions 5.4 and 5.5 also add expanded Siri support in supported regions and languages, plus a new Expanding Pills tab selector with interactive Liquid Glass on newer iOS versions that is inspired by apple iOS mail app.

C (Cost) : The core reminder experience is free, including regular and recurring reminders, standard snoozing, Calendar view, widgets, Apple Watch support, Siri and Shortcuts, urgent alarms, and up to two reusable templates.

Remindly Premium costs $4.99 as a one-time lifetime purchase. There is no subscription.

Premium removes the small bottom banner ad and unlocks Voice Reminder, Smart Calendar Import, routines, unlimited templates, customizable snooze options, Premium themes, adaptive icons, additional notification sounds, and all tab styles.

V 5.6
I’ve been looking forward to designing for the new form factor. It's a fun challenge to make sure reminders and to-dos feel natural on a different screen layout instead of just stretching the existing UI.

My app has had a “month view” feature for a while now, so it made sense to make it always there when unfolded. Version 5.6 with iPhone Duo support is out now!

🎈 Free BikeComputerApp: turn your iPhone into a bike computer, free with no ads or account

Processing img 5t3rqmiwmzxh1...

Disclosure: I'm the developer of this app.

A (Answer): BikeComputerApp turns your iPhone into a bike computer. Start a ride and see your speed, distance, elevation and heart rate live on screen. When you finish, review your stats, replay your route on the map and keep a full history of every ride. Around 4,000 cyclists are using it today.

Features:

  • Live GPS tracking
  • Speed, distance and elevation
  • Heart rate tracking
  • Full ride history with detailed stats
  • Route replay on the map
  • Weather conditions saved with every ride
  • Apple Health integration
  • GPX export, with the option to hide the start and end of your route for privacy
  • Milestone celebrations as your distance and ride count grow
  • Weekend ride alerts when the forecast looks good
  • Gentle reminders based on when you usually ride
  • Dark and Light mode

B (Better): Most ride trackers push you into an account, a social feed or a monthly subscription before you see your own numbers. BikeComputerApp skips all of that. No sign up, no paywall, no ads. Your rides sync to Apple Health, you can export GPX whenever you want, and the privacy zone keeps your home location out of shared files. It's built to stay out of your way so you can focus on riding. Available worldwide, including the EU.

C (Cost): Free, with no limits and no locked features. There's an optional tip jar inside the app if you'd like to support development, and that's it.

BikeComputerApp on the App Store

Many of the features above came from user suggestions, so I'd love to hear what you'd want next.

🎁 Freemium Rove: daily score for your sleep, steps, screen time and mood

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/iosapps! I'm a solo dev and I just released Rove on the App Store.

I kept checking four apps to figure out whether I'd had a good day: sleep in one, steps in another, Screen Time in Settings, mood in a journal. Rove puts it all into one number out of 10 and shows you exactly what moved it.

How it works

- Every day starts at a neutral 6.5. Sleep, steps, screen time, workouts and mood each move it up or down.

- Tap the score and it comes apart, so you can see what lifted it and what cost you, in tenths of a point.

- Missing data is left out, never counted as zero, so forgetting your Watch doesn't drag you down.

- Mornings aren't judged as a full day: steps are compared against how much of the day has passed.

Features

- Your own targets for sleep, steps, screen time and wake-up time. Pick what you want to improve and it counts more.

- Week and month charts. Tap any past day to see how it added up.

- Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets

- A morning reminder when your score is ready, plus an optional bedtime nudge

- Ask Rove: ask "why a 7.4 today?" and get an answer from Apple Intelligence, on-device

- Works with iPhone alone. Apple Watch adds detail.

Privacy

No account, no servers, no ads, no analytics. Your health data never leaves your iPhone. Screen time comes from Apple's Screen Time, and Rove never sees which apps you used.

Price

Free: the daily score, its full breakdown, mood logging, widgets and the last 7 days in Stats. Rove Pro ($4.99/month, or $29.99/year with a free week) adds sleep tracking, workout logging, your full history and unlimited Ask. No ads either way.

Support: https://rove-beige.vercel.app/support

Contact: [adap08665@gmail.com](mailto:adap08665@gmail.com)

I'd love honest feedback, especially on how the score feels compared to how your day actually felt. Happy to answer anything in the comments!

🎈 Free Shinybox, a free app that keeps your links, notes, screenshots and files in one visual library on iPhone, iPad and Mac

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on Shinybox, a personal library for everything you save “for later” and then can never find again: links, notes, screenshots, PDFs, voice notes, videos, documents.I save a lot of things. The problem was that they ended up scattered across bookmarks, Notes, Photos and Downloads, and I could never find the one I needed.
So I built one place for all of it, where it’s quick to save and easy to find again.
What it does:

• Save from anywhere: the share sheet, a Safari extension that saves the whole page or just the passage you’ve selected, drag and drop, or paste.
On the Mac there’s a shelf on the edge of the screen: drop things onto it, and drag them back out into other apps, as well as service menu option.
• Links become something you can read: a clean reader view, reading time, highlights and “continue reading”.

It can keep a copy of each page in case the site disappears, and it flags links that have died.
• Search finds the words inside things: text in screenshots and scanned PDFs, transcripts of voice notes, even the captions of saved YouTube videos.

You can also search by meaning, so “that chair I liked” finds the photo.• Apple Intelligence does the filing: tags, summaries, and suggested lists. You can also ask your whole library a question and get an answer with numbered sources. You choose whether it runs on your device or on Private Cloud Compute.

• Organizing: smart lists that fill themselves lists locked with Face ID
◦ reminders on any item
◦ Rediscover, which brings back a few older saves each day
• Automation: 24 Shortcuts actions, Siri phrases, widgets and Control Center controls.
• Your data, both ways: if you have an old Pocket export, Raindrop or browser bookmarks, and export everything to JSON or Markdown (ready for Obsidian).

Problem: My saves were split between Safari’s Reading List, Apple Notes, the Photos screenshot album, the old Pocket, and my Downloads folder. Each one was fine on its own, but none of them could search the text inside a screenshot I took three weeks ago next to the article I read the same day.

Comparison:

There are plenty of apps like this, and some are excellent, so here’s how Shinybox fits in:
• Scrappy is the closest to Shinybox. It’s also on Mac, iPhone and iPad, with a Drop Shelf on the Mac as well, a reader view, smart lists, and search that finds text in images and scanned PDFs. It’s a subscription with a two-week trial. Shinybox is free, and adds Apple Intelligence on top: automatic tags, summaries and filing into lists, plus asking questions across your whole library with numbered sources.

• Anybox is a polished, Apple-only bookmark app with iCloud sync and smart lists, free with a Pro upgrade. Shinybox leans further beyond links: transcripts of voice notes and YouTube videos, a copy of every page you save, and alerts when a saved page disappears.

• Raindrop is the pick if you need Windows, Android, the web or shared collections. Shinybox is Apple-only and has no account: your library lives on your devices and in your own iCloud.

• GoodLinks is a great, focused read-later app for links. Shinybox has a reader too, but it’s built for everything else you save as well: screenshots, PDFs, audio, video and notes.
• Apple Notes is free, built in, and still what I use for long writing. Shinybox is for saving things rather than writing them, with a visual grid and the Mac shelf.Where the others are ahead:• Raindrop works across platforms.
• Scrappy and Keep It have years of polish.• Shinybox is brand new, and that’s exactly why I’d love feedback.

🎈 Free BookWorm is on the App Store: track your library and your reading sessions. No account, no subscription

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSapps,

BookWorm is now live on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bookworm-track-your-library/id6804252010

A while back I posted the TestFlight beta here and a lot of you tested it and sent feedback. Many of those suggestions are in this release, so thank you.

A – What problem does it solve?

I own a lot of physical books, I re-read things and I wanted to know how much I actually spend on books. BookWorm is a reading tracker built around that: your physical library, re-reads and stats.

  • Library with shelves, series, genres, publishers, ratings and notes
  • Reading sessions with a timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
  • Re-reads tracked as separate cycles, so a book read three times counts as three reads
  • Tracking for what you spend buying books and what you get back selling them
  • Stats, streaks, levels and achievements
  • ISBN scanner, Goodreads import, and covers from Apple Books, Google Books or Open Library

B – Why is it better than the alternatives?

Compared to trackers like Goodreads or StoryGraph:

  • It’s a fully native iOS app, built with SwiftUI. No web views, no account, no social feed.
  • It tracks re-reads as separate cycles and keeps a budget of what you spend and earn on books.
  • It’s made for physical and digital collections: shelves, series, publishers, owned copies and a wishlist.
  • Reading sessions live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
  • Your data stays in your own iCloud. No ads, no analytics.
  • The full version is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

C – Cost

  • Free tier: up to 20 books, online book search, series, reading sessions, basic stats, 1 custom and 1 smart collection, and the Currently Reading widget.
  • Lifetime: $12.99 one-time (no subscription). Unlimited books and collections, full stats (charts, calendar, mood), levels and badges, shareable Reader Card and Recap, all widget formats and bulk editing tools.

Happy to answer questions here. r/BookWormApp is where I post updates and collect bug reports.

🎈 Free Made an iPhone app for when life turns into a "case": landlord disputes, insurance claims, endless back-and-forth with authorities

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I’m the developer of Aktenverwaltung, an app for iPhone and iPad. The name roughly means “case file management” in German, and it’ll be renamed to Aktennero with the next big update.
Let me get this out of the way first: it’s not a document scanner or a file organizer. It’s built for something those apps don’t really handle.
You probably know the situation. Your landlord won’t fix the heating. An insurance claim drags on for months. A seller ignores your complaint. A government office keeps asking for “one more document.” Over time this turns into a real case: letters back and forth, phone calls, emails, deadlines, different people involved.
Then someone, maybe your lawyer, asks: “When did you call them? What exactly did they tell you? Did you put it in writing?”
And you’re scrolling through your call log, searching your inbox and digging through a drawer, trying to remember.
That’s exactly what this app is for. You open a case and everything that happens goes into it:
A real case file: reference number, status, everyone involved, and a complete timeline
Everything in order: letters, emails, scanned mail, phone calls and notes from conversations, all in the order they happened
Deadlines that remind you: tasks and due dates live inside the case, with reminders ahead of time
Smart scanning: scan a letter and on-device AI fills in the date, sender, reference number and subject automatically. Nothing leaves your phone.
Letters from inside the case: write your reply, add your signature, and export a clean PDF
Profiles: if you also handle things for your kids, partner or parents

Private by design: your data stays on your device or in your own iCloud, with no ad tracking
You don’t need to be a lawyer or work in an office to use this. If you’ve ever had that one thing drag on and wished you had the whole story in one place, this is for you.
It’s free. No ads, no subscription.

One thing to know: the App Store listing is still mostly in German right now, so some text and screenshots might not appear in English yet. That’ll be sorted with Version 3.0.0 at the latest, possibly sooner with an in-between update. For the full English picture, check out the website. It already has English screenshots and goes into much more detail.
If you try it and it actually helps you, I’d really appreciate a 5-star rating. Feedback of any kind is just as welcome, whether that’s bugs, ideas or things that don’t make sense. I’ll be around in the comments.

💎 Lifetime Latent Photos and Latent Frames: minimalist photo apps for your Apple Photos library and your folders

Thumbnail

Dev post: we made both.

Before planes had wifi, my inflight movie was my own camera roll. I'd delete my way through it, never finish, and next flight have no idea where I'd stopped. So we built Latent Photos, and later Latent Frames.

A: What they solve.

Latent Photos is for a library too big to ever get through, in an app that should feel like it came with the phone. It runs on your Apple Photos library, so it's fully compatible: edit in Photos, view and organize here. Ask for a random 100 you haven't seen and go through them one by one, deleting what you don't need and tagging what you'll want again. Next time it deals 100 you still haven't seen.

Latent Frames is for photos in folders on a NAS, a PC, Dropbox or OneDrive. It opens them as a photo library by capture date, without moving a file, and stays smooth with hundreds of thousands of photos.

B: Why they're better.

Apple Photos can't go through your library a set at a time, and its search decides what a word means. In Latent Photos your own tags decide: Beach and Family but not Work, from 2019, is one filter, and every tag is a real album in Photos. Unlike Immich or Synology Photos, Frames installs nothing on the NAS, and it saves tags inside each photo as XMP, so Lightroom and digiKam read them too. Both put near twins side by side, with a line you drag to pick the keeper. No account, no server of ours: the first scan runs on your phone and takes a while.

C: Cost.

Browsing stays free. Each has a week free, then one in-app purchase, no subscription. The half-off links work through 2026.

Latent Photos [App Store]: Lifetime unlock at $20. 50% for r/iosapps through 2026

Latent Frames [App Store]: Lifetime unlock at $30. 50% for r/iosapps through 2026

Who's behind it: LT, Latent Snap LLC, [hello@latentsnap.com](mailto:hello@latentsnap.com). Privacy policies: Latent Photos, Latent Frames. Terms of Service.

🎁 Freemium You asked for an Apple Watch app for my skull water tracker. Apple made me make it free.

Thumbnail

Developer here. Hydrate or Diedrate is the water tracker that swaps cheerful droplets for a skull quietly documenting your decline.

When I first posted here, a few of you asked for an Apple Watch app. I built it, put it behind the lifetime unlock, and submitted it. Apple sent it back: no charging for built-in iOS features. So the Watch app is free now, along with a few things that came with that decision.

A: Answer

Version 1.7 is out.

- Apple Watch app (free). Today's record on your wrist. One tap logs a drink. The phone is informed. Mis-tap? Undo it from the wrist.

- The Specimen (free widget). The skull, filling with water as you drink. With Preserved, it takes on the colors of whichever alternate icon you've chosen.

- Reminder times and dark mode are free for everyone now. AUTO follows your device.

- Reminders stand down once you hit your goal. The skull does not nag the compliant.

- Seasonal notices start Nov 20. Sample: "Drink water. Gravy alone will not stop the withering."

On January 1, The January Inquest opens: meet your goal on 20 of January's 31 days and the finding goes on your record. Free. It counts from the 1st, so arriving late still leaves you a case.

B: Better

Most watch water trackers are a blue ring. This is the same ledger as the phone: the percentage, the status, and the PRESERVED stamp when you get there. No confetti on your wrist either.

Still private by default. No account. Your record stays on your device.

C: Cost

Free download. Tracking, goals, streaks, reminders, Apple Health sync, the Watch app, dark mode and The Specimen widget are all free.

Preserved -- Lifetime Access is $6.99 one-time: watch complications, the other three widgets, Vessels (anonymous groups), custom quick-log amounts, full history and insights, alternate icons. No subscription.

Hydrate or Diedrate on the App Store

If you've been using it: the app has 22 ratings, and ratings are how a one-person app gets found. If the skull has earned it, a rating takes about ten seconds. If it hasn't, tell me here instead and I'll fix it.

The skull will not care. I will.

🎁 Freemium CodeMate 2.0.7 — find & replace, Markdown preview, and structured JSON/XML/YAML views

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps — I last shared CodeMate here on September 25. Version 2.0.7 is a significant update, adding find and replace, Markdown preview, structured data previews, local project transfer, and several editing improvements.

A — Answer: What problem does it solve?

CodeMate is a native code viewer and lightweight editor for iPhone and iPad. It is designed for reading existing projects and making quick edits away from a desktop, without trying to reproduce a complete IDE.

New in recent updates:

  • Find and replace with match case, whole word, regular expressions, replace, and replace all
  • Markdown preview with tables, task lists, images, links, and syntax-highlighted code blocks
  • Expandable JSON, XML, and YAML structure previews with validation and search
  • Local project transfer: upload a ZIP from a computer on the same network, then browse and edit it in CodeMate
  • Export syntax-highlighted source files as PDF
  • Better external-keyboard input and reduced editor flicker

B — Better: Why another editor?

CodeMate focuses on code reading, navigation, and lightweight editing on a touch screen.

It supports syntax highlighting for 200+ file formats, multiple tabs, a minimap, Swift symbol navigation, jump to line, HTML preview with linked CSS and JavaScript, and access to iCloud Drive, Dropbox, and other storage providers through the Files app.

The structured previews are read-only views of the source, making large configuration files easier to inspect without silently rewriting them. Local transfer is useful when you want to move a project from a computer without first uploading it to a proprietary cloud service.

C — Cost

CodeMate is free to download and use for browsing and reading files. Editing and selected advanced features require Premium.

US pricing:

  • Monthly: US$4.99
  • Annual: US$29.99
  • Lifetime: US$59.99

Prices may vary by region. A rewarded ad can also unlock Premium temporarily.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id680609457

Website: https://codemateapp.net

Full disclosure: I’m the developer. I’d especially appreciate feedback on find and replace, the structured previews, and the local transfer workflow.

🤖 Vibe Coded [TestFlight] I kept forgetting everyday tasks, including things my family and I needed to do—so I built PinLists

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m the developer of PinLists.

I started building it because I often forget small, everyday things. That gets more frustrating when it’s something my family and I need to do together. We’ve talked about it, but it can still slip through the cracks.

I wanted a place where those tasks stay visible, and where we can keep the little details that are easy to lose in a conversation.

Here’s what I’m trying to make easier:

**A. Remembering to actually do the thing.**
Keep to-dos on the Lock Screen or in Home Screen widgets, and mark them complete from there.

**B. Keeping track of things together.**
Share a list with family, see what still needs doing, and see who completed a task.

**C. Remembering the details, too.**
Leave comments and replies on a task, then add a completion note—something like “Got the yogurt. It’s on the second shelf in the fridge.”

There’s also voice input, priorities, recurring reminders, search, and a completion history.

**TestFlight:** https://testflight.apple.com/join/EKGqRjPy

A note on access: creating shared lists is a Pro feature; invited members don’t need a separate purchase.

I’d really appreciate a few people trying it in their everyday routines. Does the Lock Screen setup make sense? Is sharing easy to understand? What feels confusing, unnecessary, or missing?

Bugs, awkward English, or simply “I wouldn’t use this because…” are all helpful. You don’t need a polished review—even one small observation would give me something concrete to work on.

Thanks for taking a look.
