I don’t think I had ever seen a longer list of security patches than the 27.2 😳

(Gemini counted 163 vulnerabilites (CVEs) were addessed and patched.)

Well they kind of skipped 27.1 for most people. They had to catch up.

This is going to be a cybersecurity and vulnerability dark age.

I work in tech and we are getting exponentially more vulnerabilities that we are being forced to use AI to try to keep up with our SLAs and still failing.

Expect a ton more bugs across all of tech with vulnerability bandaids that break random stuff and some nasty vulnerabilities until cybersecurity defense catches up to what the attackers have access to now.

I would highly recommend taking steps to freeze your credit as well.

Question: do people check whether the vulnerabilities found by artificial intelligence are legitimate or not?

Insane the amount of security patches now that AI helps a lot to find them. My guess is that apple is all in on this auditing the whole codebase.

True but it’s a double-edged sword. Security of the future will essentially hinge on who has access to the best AI. A totally new arms race is starting and so far the bad guys are winning.

Had this argument with a guy on r/UniFi about networking equipment and multiple 10/10 CVEs. Said he read their forums about bugs in the newer software and was going to hold off. Meanwhile two weeks ago multiple people were complaining about seeing unknown admin accounts on their gateways lmaooo

Can’t make this shit up. In the world of AI security, you kind of need to patch quickly and address bugs later or develop workarounds to bugs.
