My first thought was this sword, and I've never even played Xenoblade 😂

Today I started believing in reincarnation, for the sole fact and possibility of coming back and finding the once stick before reincarnated OP does.
7
u/Designer_Pen869 May 01 '26
You don't find these sticks in the wild. You have to make them, but that defeats the purpose. God made this stick, and I don't even believe in God. This stick holds the power of every hope and dream that stick lovers have. Every dog, every guy, every woman, every child. This man is the chosen one.
5
u/Callidonaut May 01 '26
Indeed, truly 'tis a Stick of Destiny. But, eh, look on the bright side: OP quite clearly has to go on a quest now that he's found that thing, it's just non-negotiable when you become the custodian of an artefact of such power, while the rest of us get to avoid all that hassle.

Yeah. Unique grade. Pass it to a priest and it becomes a Devine Holy Relic. Bonded to user. We must find this man and PK him. Hopefully he drops the stick.

Revel in the knowledge that the stick has chosen a man of curiosity and pureness of heart. Do not despair that you are not the stick-holder for it matters not. What matters is that good has a chance to prevail today.

u/PreferenceUnlucky101 May 02 '26
Deep narrator voice Legend has it that, every one hundred years, a stick rises from a magic tree. Unbreakable. Dripping with life force. Waiting for the pure-hearted chosen-one to come pick it and become the next greatest warrior of their generation. A warrior so great that their name will be written in the stars. A warrior whose destiny is to suppress the forces of evil, protect the weak, and guide mankind to its glory. A beacon of light and hope that shatters any darkness.
The Warrior of the Tree.

I’d give it an 11, but it’s missing the eye of ra, so useless for locating the resting place of the ark of the covenant.

I’d want to see a few good swings to make sure it’s sturdy before giving a rating

I'd dock it a point because I think it'll break with the slightest thwack on things.

Until now.

I think someone made a mod over at r/skyrim a while back that has a mace with Meridia's beacon attached. Every time you hit someone with it, it says A NEW FACE TOUCHES THE BEACON!

Nice, there's also a follower mod for meridia. It's great to think that you could summon her to follow you. And if you have those mods installed well then you also get to use (ahem)I mean worship her whenever you need.

u/HomeAliveIn45 May 01 '26
This always takes me back to late 2011, playing Skyrim for the first time alone in my dorm room at night. Meridia yelled this so loudly into my headphones that my neighbor knocked on my door to make sure I was ok

Yes, I was a little worried. As a woman, I've unwillingly received a few "rate my stick" pics in the past that I wished to unsee.

The stick in this post is one of the top posts in that sub. Very good sub. I look forward to spending hours scrolling through it.

Listen man, i am old and I used to live near a beach. I have seen a lot of beach swords in my day,,, but this is one of the best, for real. That’s a legit stick.

u/jetstream116 May 06 '26
My son is 3 and obsessed with sticks. He sneaks them into our house via the car, stroller, his backpack, my purse. If we’re outside, he has a stick in each hand. Anything stick-shaped (broom, stick vacuum, chopsticks, drumsticks, pencils, the cardboard rolls from inside paper towels, his toothbrush) has an irresistible draw.
What I’m trying to say is, I have also seen A LOT of sticks lately. And I concur - OP’s stick is the best one I’ve ever seen.

No question if I found that stick I would be holding it aloft and saying "By the power of Grayskull." I would also more than half expect for it to work.
