New Hires click here
This is going to be the new stickied post on the sub. With the influx of questions here from new hires, usually asking about the same thing. Ex: interviews, hiring, onboarding, pants, shoes, and more. I thought I would make a stickied thread for this.
I would also appreciate help from anyone if they can help search for good posts that would help new hires.
For the time being, please use the search function at the top of the page. I know Reddit's search function sucks.

Orange (The Block) store #404 - Timmy, King of the House, impatiently awaits…
His no-salt puppy patty. I had a double double animal style, no lettuce, add raw onions and fries. Wife had a cheeseburger with grilled onions and chopped chilis. Magnificent as always.

Question Working at innout
I’m curious about how it’s like to work at In-N-Out coming as an assistant manager at Panda Express. I’ve worked at Panda for 4 years and I would keep working there, but I’m currently being blocked from transferring locations because my area is losing managers left and right. I’m a pretty good manager and I’ve been doing Panda’s version of All Stars for about 3 out of the 4 years.
I guess my biggest question would be how would be the best way to get promoted within the company. I’ve heard everyone starts at Level 1, but I want to know how long it took people to get to Management level. I’m used to hard work and keeping high standards, so that part isn’t worrying, but starting from scratch is scary. I’ll also be taking a pay cut (currently making $95k) to join this company, so I want to make sure it’s the right move.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Does your store allow 6x6?
If yes, what stores/division allow ordering a 6x6? Is it possible across all POS systems?

Best ‘healthy’ version
in my opinion, the best way to order a ‘healthier’ version is - double meat, protein style, light lettuce (i don’t enjoy feeling like a turtle for the first few bites) ketchup instead of spread, add grilled onion + raw chopped, add pickle, no tomato (ew)
the flavor combo really does something for me

Question Is there is reliable way to get an order within 5 minutes?
My typical go-to fast food is McDonald's, which I use mostly because of the app. I select the deals, place the order before I get in the car, pick up the order, and I'm back home in 5 minutes.
There's also an In-and-Out nearby, which I never go to on my own even though the burgers are substantially better than anything at McDonald's. I just see the line and think to myself "I can cook my own dinner in that time".
If there's a trick people here use to get their food quickly, please let me know.

New Hire Your experience starting at in n out?
So I recently finished my second day at in n out which was learning the backroom. I feel like I was taught a lot and while I remember a lot I also feel like theres many things I have already forgotten. I also feel like I have to meet a pretty high expectation at in n out and just want to make sure I remember everything. I wanted to ask you guys what your experiences were when you first started and how you remembered things, how you made friends, what things were hard starting out and how you dealt with busy periods, I am pretty new still and I am probably asking this too soon but I don't know if I will get any more practice with backrooms and I also dont want to ask questions to the wrong people and prevent them from doing their job. So if you could just share your experiences starting at in n out I would love to read them.
THANK YOU GUYS!!!

Food Pics Whole Onions changed my life
4x4 protein style has been my go to for years after the patty limit rule. But over the last year I’ve been changing up my staple meal with the whole grilled onion wrap, still allowing grilled onions in between the patty’s.
What are your thoughts on the onion wrap?

Rant In n out nightmare
I just went to in n out and had the most ridiculous experience ever and I feel like I need to rant
I go in and order a double double, animal fries and a shake
I order and 20 minutes later they call my number. I go up and don’t see a shake, I ask if I come back and get that later but she said she can make it right now and to set my food down and come back and get it, sweet no problems so far
On my way to set my food down I notice I don’t have a fork, no problem I’ll ask for it when I get my shake.
I go back up and wait about 5 minutes for my shake, I ask for a fork and it takes her 8 minutes to get the fork, there is none at the front counter or drive thru and she has to go in the back and get one
A little frustrated my food is gonna be cold but whatever I’m not to stressed.
I go back to my table and my burger is GONE, SOMEBODY STOLE MY BUGER BRUH.
Now im stressed. I go back to the counter and she says they can remake it. Sure. I go back to my table with my tray and look down at my animal fries and notice there is multiple pieces of hair in my fries. To be fair I don’t know if that was from an associate or the loser who stole my burger.
I tell the girl at the front about the hair and told her I know it’s not her fault. I tell her to not bother with re making the burger or giving me a refund, I just need to bounce. This was about 40 minutes after I ordered
So I am now at home writing this while eating stale cereal with no milk.
I will also mention I am young 20s and have worked fast food and am normally super super chill, this wasn’t one persons fault but the combination of everything made me feel like I was losing my mind
Went to the motherland tonight for dinner
Had my usual 4x4 extra grilled onion no tomatoe.

I finally got my perfect order
It’s a double meat animal style with fries light well. I don’t do cheese, and I was always afraid animal style included that but last week I looked it up and NO CHEESE! I was so excited, it has been on my mind all week until I finally ordered like someone who eats at in and out. My goodness, it was so. Good.
For the record, I normally get a hamburger or double meat with grilled onions, so not a huge change.
The busiest and best In N Out imo
Double Double animal style, grilled and whole grilled onions, chopped chilis 🔥 @ LAX

New Hire Got hired 3 weeks ago, still waiting on shoes. How long did you wait for your stuff to come in?
Hi everyone, I got hired about 3 weeks ago at In-N-Out and was wondering how long it took to get your shoes? My uniform just came in last week but I'm still waiting on my shoes and I just can't wait to work

Question Controversial question? What is the worst/your least liked In-N-Out in your opinion?
Mines has to be the one on Market pl dr near the Montebello mall. The fries almost always come out cold for me.
