Updated stairs tutorial?

I am losing my goddamn mind and ready to throw my computer out a window trying to make stairs that look even halfway decent. All the guides I can find are from before the big update and nothing works like it does in the videos. Does anyone know of an updated tutorial anywhere?

Try Beg, Borrow, and Steal Maps stairway tutorial. Musical Rogue does a great job explaining how to create depth. https://youtu.be/1ufoz-7sZHY?si=NnsKcvDhvbMNroFf

What is it that you think is wrong with stairs? What's bothering you? "They look bad" isn't exactly conducive to receiving help 😅
