After nearly two decades of supporting the PS3 console generation, we wanted to let you know we will be closing the PlayStation Store on PS3, as well as on PS Vita. PlayStation Store on PS3 will close in select markets starting this year, followed by global closures for PS3 and PS Vita next year. That means new content purchases will no longer be possible once the PlayStation Store closes on these devices. To ease the transition, players will still be able to download previously purchased content after the closing date for the foreseeable future.
As the PlayStation Store continues to evolve to support modern commerce systems, including updated payment processing standards, PS3 and PS Vita are no longer able to support these updates at the level required. As a result, we will need to close PlayStation Store on these devices in the timeframes as follows:
Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting August 2026.
Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern countries – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting late 2026.
In all other countries, PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027.

You can survive jumping off a skyscraper, get hit by a speeding train (it bangs you up, but doesn't outright kill you), can survive tanking a point-blank explosive to the face, get thrown out of the window of a penthouse suite, land on a car and literally "walk it off"...and yet, Cole dies if he gets caught in the blast radius of one of his Shock Grenades, and can be killed by a car...simply rolling over on top of him.😑

Heroism and caring about the faceless masses, even more than your family/tribe is unnatural. Also, the game literally tells you to enjoy your powers. Delsin is a reckless and impulsive person good or evil. if he decides not to hold back his power or impulses, its easy to see how he can snowball into kicking innocent injured people. Basically, he has fun with his powers, innocent people get hurt, they insult or chastise him he retaliates by brutalizing them. Its not that unnatural. He'll keep killing and killing until he starts to enjoy it and thus infamous. It was like that in infamous 1 and 2, people hated you, your first instinct is to kill them

I'm interested in asking since I'm not in the USA system and there may be some peculiarities, I'm interested in listening to those who somehow understand. I think this has been discussed, but still
What we know is that Cole obviously didn't get a technical degree, because he doesn't understand Zeke, and it's Zeke who's working on AMP. We also know that Cole dropped out of school due to pressure and conflict in college. He may have had debts, but on the other hand, he had 6 credits left...Okay, it's probably hard for me to understand this system. But as I understand it, he didn't have much time left to become a certified specialist
The parents' lie that he was not a courier, but a tutor... here I think there is a part of narrowing down the options, but I would like to hear yours. I was just looking and found that approximately such options could be a lawyer, economics, and the like. Yes, we don't need an answer to the question of who Cole didn't study for, but it's just interesting to speculate, as it seems to provide part of the foundation for Cole
While I was writing, I remembered Kessler's words that Cole's father wore a photo of Trish and was proud of her as the daughter that this man did not have, but she was a nurse. It's just that the older generation probably had a list of successful people's professions, but I just don't think I understand the subtleties because of a different country and culture
PS. If you don't understand, I'm sorry, I'm writing through a translator. It's not like people understand me in my native language lol

For me, it changes the beast final boss to be a fight around the city. Especially the idea of a free roam boss against a giant god.
There is a lot you could do with a fight like that

Like A train, they show him as piece of shi in the beginning but by the end the choices you make either lead him deeper down, or redemption.

In this trailer, midway through the Ravenger fight, Cole does something he normally cannot do in the final game: pick up 2 cars at the same time. I wonder if Sucker Punch thought this would be too op for the final game.

Okay, I played inFamous 1 and Prototype 1. Not sure if this is a fair comparison, still just curious how players of both the games see them pair against each other. I do think both the games are comparable. If you played both the games, which one did you like more: inFamous 1 or Prototype 1? Just curious.

Just an interesting thought experiment I thought this sub would appreciate. I need to stress that I don't mean literal crossovers (like your average Marvel/DC character jumping into the inFamousverse through a portal kind of thing), just things naturally popping up and becoming part of this world without the rules getting ignored. Whether it's already established superheroes from other properties, viral outbreaks, or monsters and myths finding a home in this verse (ala Festival of Blood, if you think that'd be too fantastical), I want to hear your thoughts and recommendations.
How would the inFamous universe natively be able to include them?

I have been a screenwriter for most of my life and a huge fan of the inFAMOUS franchise. Mind you that I have yet to play SECOND SON, so please no spoilers in this discussion.
In the mid-2010s, I thought I knew how to adapt Cole MacGrath's story into a feature film franchise. It would start with a movie based on the first game... obviously. Then, I would adapt the six-issue comic book series from DC into the second movie while also expanding the story a bit so that Cole would have closure on his family and kill off Moya, Sasha, and Alden for good. And finally, I would adapt inFAMOUS 2 as the third and final chapter. At least until SECOND SON gets adapted into a spin-off film afterwards.
The problem is that there is so much material with the two main games that it might as well be impossible to turn them into two or three hour movies based on each game.
Like should adapt each of the two games into two movies each? Or should I do something wild like say adapt the first game into three movies with Sasha in the first movie, Alden in the second movie, and Kessler in the third movie with him as the overarching villain throughout? Two or three movies based on inFAMOUS 2?
How would you bring Cole's story to the big screen?

great story (even for a short game), amazing progression of power akin to the first game, grungy aesthetic, actual character development, flawed but likeable protagonist, unique usage of an already unique element, clean but stylish UI, incredible sound design etc the list just goes on.
replaying them both and First Light is such a breath of fresh air compared to Second Son, where instead of subconsciously picking apart every detail and flawed plot point, i just… enjoy the game again.

Some objective flaws, but a lot of fun to play (as is every Infamous game) and the Halloween vibe is perfect. The weirdest part is how the UGC server shutdown affected the narrative since two of the main missions were UGC.
Hope you enjoy! I've gotten a lot of love on my videos for Infamous 1 and 2 and that has motivated me to keep the series going. Scripts are done for Second Son and First Light, will get them out as soon as life allows!
