At 20, Renee Noronha has taken on one of endurance sport's toughest challenges and finished it on the world stage. The Mumbai-born athlete with Goan roots completed the 2026 𝘐𝘙𝘖𝘕𝘔𝘈𝘕 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 in Kona, Hawaii, becoming the youngest Indian woman to finish the event, according to reports. The race tests athletes across a 3.8-km swim, a 180-km cycle and a 42.2-km marathon, 226.2 km in total. She first pursued artistic gymnastics before turning to endurance racing, completing her first full-distance 𝘐𝘙𝘖𝘕𝘔𝘈𝘕 in New Zealand at 18. From taking on the distance as a teenager to finishing at one of the sport’s biggest events, Noronha’s journey is a remarkable milestone in Indian endurance sport

According to the CISF, the man was allegedly carrying an unidentified semi-solid substance suspected to be gold paste. The material, weighing around 155 grams, was reportedly concealed in a stitched portion of an undergarment kept inside his bag.

He​ failed to produce documents establishing ownership of the material or offer a satisfactory explanation for possessing it, identified him as Mohammad Shuaib Alam.

Alam told police that he lived in Malaysia and worked in the textile sector.
