"Circle the Drain" reminds me of turn-of-the-millennium bubblegum pop rock, but a very specific brand of it. Like instead of the usual electric power pop base, this one is more chill clean-tone alternative-leaning.

The only other song I've found that perfectly matches this vibe is the Filipino song "Isang Linggong Maghihintay" by Suyen.

To a lesser extent, there's also "Care" by Beabadoobee and certain Meaningful Stone songs (particularly "Summer Summer Summer" and "1+1=0" and "Shadow Beauty").

There is something just so fun about watching someone be little shits, like bratty, cocky, arrogant, entitled, confident (or overconfident), and get away with most of it just because they're the prince, they're the king, or something. They have too much inherent power to be held accountable, basically.

Don't get me wrong, they can be held accountable sometimes, have their parents tell them off or try to control them, etc, but I suppose they need at least some level of leeway to get away with their antics.

I've found early prince Arthur in the series Merlin is another good example, though he gets a bit too responsible later on.

I'm marking the post as TV only because my examples are both tv-series, but really all I care about is the personality of the character in it, not the type of media itself.

This is a rare song in its quality, both lyrically and musically. It is very intelligent, has nice small variations to its structure. This combination of calm, cheerful and optimistic acoustic guitar with such lovely words is very hard to find.

i've been listening to "You Can't Run From Me" by Rico Nasty (from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2) after watching the anime, and i'm looking for more songs that give me that very specific feeling

you know that feeling when a song makes you imagine yourself fighting an entire army, dodging every bullet, hitting every target without missing, and moving with such fluidity and precision that the whole fight becomes a perfectly choreographed dance of death?

i'm not necessarily looking for the heaviest or most aggressive music. what really gets me about this song is the female vocals during the pre-choruses and choruses: the smooth, almost effortless flow of the melody, the elongated vowels, the slightly nonchalant yet frenzied delivery, and the way the voice glides over the instrumental rather than constantly screaming over it

it creates this weird combination of hypnotic smoothness and unstoppable, almost murderous energy. something that makes you feel like you're in a trance, completely locked in, moving flawlessly and untouchably

think of the feeling of soloing an entire maxtac squad in cyberpunk, but with the elegance of a perfectly executed dance.

other genres are welcome too, as long as they capture that feeling!

Mainly because 2 songs from the exact same singer, exact genre and same beats may just be 0 and 10 to me(Except TV Girl and Radiohead, but these are the oonly ones i found to my liking from them). If you can dicern any general patern here. Let me know, i dont know music.
