Hi everyone!
I’m looking to get some drivers together for a new iRacing league under RSF1, a racing community I’ve previously run F1 league championships with. We’re now looking to expand into iRacing, and I thought I’d see if anyone here would be interested in getting involved!
The main thing we’re aiming for is a competitive league where your pace and iRating genuinely don’t matter. Whether you’re a 5k iRating driver or someone who’s only just started iRacing, there should be something meaningful for you to fight for.
How will it work?
An 8-round championship, with everyone racing together on one grid.
Drivers divided into Pro, Am and Rookie classes based on preseason pace testing.
An overall Drivers’ Championship, plus separate championships for each class.
Fixed setups and identical cars to keep things fair.
Race nights featuring qualifying, a feature race and a shorter sprint, potentially using class-based reverse grids.
Constructors’ Championship
This is something we’re particularly excited about!
Each constructor will have three drivers – one Pro, one Am and one Rookie, all racing their own cars under the same team name and colours.
Constructor points will be based on each driver’s finishing position within their own class, rather than their overall finishing position.
This means a Rookie winning their class contributes just as much as a Pro winning theirs!
The idea is to encourage some genuine teamwork, with experienced drivers helping newer drivers improve, while giving everyone an important role in their team’s championship fight.
Season 1 Details
100% base iRacing content – no additional car or track purchases required, just an active subscription.
Cars and circuits to be decided through driver votes or random draws.
Classes determined through preseason testing, so iRating won’t dictate where you’re placed.
Drop rounds to allow for the occasional missed race.
Final schedule and details to be confirmed once we’ve gauged interest.
We’re not trying to create an ultra-serious esports championship, but we do want clean, competitive racing with proper championship battles and a good community around it.
You don’t need to be quick, experienced or have a high iRating to join. If you’re willing to race fairly, have a laugh and hopefully improve along the way, you’re exactly the sort of driver we’re looking for.
We’re currently gathering interest before finalising everything, so if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, drop a comment or send me a DM!
Hopefully see some of you on the grid!
