General Got mine!

I had alerts set up from two of the stock checkers (you don’t need to pay for them, just have Claude make you a script that auto refreshes and then set up ntfy to notify you) and FINALLY got one last night. My exact desired spec: Night Sky 256gb. Snagged it at Pioneer Place in Portland.

Also a PSA: Don’t waste time adding a trade in if you’re trying to snipe a pickup. You can 1000% add the trade in either at pickup OR within 14 days after. I did not select trade in when buying online, and I was able to go back 8 hours after pickup to trade in my old phone and they actually offered to either credit back my Apple Card (the way I paid for the duo) or give me Apple Cash, which is even better because I got to keep the entire 3% cashback on the Apple Card purchase.

Love the phone of course, but mostly wanted to provide an additional datapoint for the stock issues. No crackgate (yet) for me either!

Thank you! It looks like it’s a paid service, and I was able to create my own Python script, and it is running now. Hope I will be able to get mine tomorrow

Thanks for this tip, didn't think of it this way. You're right about the 3%, I'd have sent to Apple cash too.

Funny enough, that was actually how the associate suggested I do it, and when I asked why, that was his reason. I hadn’t even thought of it.

If you notice any bump sticking out of the hinge when using the inner display request it be replaced, another indicator, go onto the inner display, run your finger back and forth over the hinge in different areas, if you hear a ‘popping’ sound when doing that, again request it to be replaced
