Cleaning inner display?

How do you get the smudges out easy? I got a little bit of oil from finger on it and don’t want to make it worse by smudging it

The Apple polishing cloth does a stupidly good job…. Which is dumb lol

I’ve been using a micro fiber cloth and just the tiniest amount of water with 70% isopropyl alcohol

On my other devices and the outer screen and back glass I just use baby wipes

look at lens cloths for cameras. a K cloth is like 3 for $10 and does a phenomenal job. I am 99% sure the Apple cloth is just an overpriced lens cloth

It definitely feels similar to the Koala cloth for sunglasses/lenses and similar;; I’m using the Apple one but I’d happily use a glasses or camera one if I didn’t have this handy

I got the $9 Apple polishing cloth. It works pretty well, and for stuff that doesn't want to easily wipe off, I spray a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a small portion of the cloth, and lightly wipe the stubborn spot with my finger and the damp-with-alcohol cloth.

It has for me too with most things, but there have been a couple spots that wouldn’t come off with a dry wipe, but with a little alcohol it wiped right off easily.

Hmm i’m always nervous using alcohol on screens in general. Might get some of that purified or de-ionise water stuff first / I still have a bottle of the unofficial official Apple cleaning fluid (Rogge brand lcd cleaner for the old Mac’s before they went to glass screen ) if it ever needs liquid, I’ll start with that if I can’t get water first

Leica pre moistened lens wipes too ; professional photog friend swears by those for anything and everything ; though if you are cleaning a bunch of stuff, wear some medical or rubber gloves or your skin gets extremely dry. only issue though.

I'm pretty sure those lens wipes are mostly isopropyl alcohol. But for my glass screens I use Whoosh Screen Shine.

I use woosh cleaner spray and apple polishing cloth

I just breathe on the screen and use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe it (like cleaning a pair of glasses).
