Question of the day 9..

I am a huge fan of the side quest/ tasks we get to do in drifter. Whether it be working our way through horde arenas, scaling the tower, or collecting the information off the monoliths… but for me, when it comes to drifter, THERES NEVER ENOUGH!
So today, I’m giving you a choice between two options within the game.

A) You find a 9 key door in town with an old rickety droid inside. He ask you if you’ll do him a favor and agrees to compensate you if do it for him. He wants you to go and retrieve 4 mysterious “artifacts” for him, one in each cardinal direction on the map, and each one is DEEP within its area. You agree and he marks your map with the four locations. When you complete the task, you realize the old droid is no friend and the artifacts you retrieved completely updated and restored him beyond his former glory. Battle ensues and you get a new cape set.

B) You find a 13 key door in south that leads you to a Colosseum in the sky. It is run by a shady eagle who is half cybernetic. He tells you if you’re willing to fight and win the tournament, you’ll be rewarded. The colosseum has 20 challenges where each challenge is harder than the last. On challenges 5,10,15, and 20 you fight 4 boss characters. At the end of the challenge, you are giving a program that you can in turn give to the sword master in town and learn a new ability.

i feel like finding a like broken down shed behind a 7 key or 9 key door in town and finding a broken down droid would be sick. I can only imagine the neat little sound he would make when you go to talk to him. You know how some “conversations” are one picture and others are three? I imagine him showing a pictures that are a total fabrication, like he’s looking for these special priceless relics to protect history or blah blah blah but really he needs the parts to heal and his agenda is to kill drifters

These questions you do a really fun to think about. I appreciate you putting the time into thinking them up.
As for my answer, though I think a Colosseum
would definitely fit in the drifter world perfectly, there’s something about a crippled, rickety, unsuspecting droid luring you into doing his bidding just to turn around and try to kill you. I love twist like that, especially in games.

Both are solid! Damn. Combine 'em? The robot grants access to the Eagle's Colosseum- then the eagle hires you to kill 'bad guys,' then betrays you. (The symbolism hits for me, as a Canadian... just sayin)

I think if you beat the broken down/ repaired droid, you should find a “pass” into the Colosseum. Like he is a scummy type who captures and makes his captives fight, but he has worn down over the years… IDK something like that
