Hey y'all -

Through a combination of scale work and the harmonic series I've started to understand how high horn playing works. Today I managed a G above High C :D the problem is that I severely lose range, start missing notes and take a hit in sound quality when I introduce articulation into the mix (when playing scales). Particularly around High Ab and beyond.

My theory is that it's some combination of not articulating "correctly", in the "right" place, loosening my corners and a few other things. I recognize these are a lot of variables and I'm unsure where to begin with them.

I haven't been stuck on this too long and I am making some progress, but I'd really love to hear your ideas, analogies and stories of how you managed to work through this.
