Climbed to Legend from D5 with this homebrew Shaman deck. It's a mix of heralding and elemental support, which work pretty well together. On top of that you have part of the C'thun package, but as you can see it's only 3 cards.
[[Watch Over]] as the only shadow spell and C'thun activator and C'thun himself. Two Watch Over's juice up C'thun on their own but it's particularily powerful with [[Therazane]] active. Therazane herself is a slow turn but it allows Watch Over to be a massive swing turn or, if you're ahead on board, finish the game with it. As the only shadow spell you're also almost always (bar random generation) going to hit it after Therazane. C'thun acts as a lategame finisher, but I've honestly barely needed him. Although there have been atrition war games where I needed all of Deathwing/C'thun/Al'Akir value to win.
The other powerful combination is [[Fire Breath]] with Therazane and/or [[Volcanic Thrasher]]. Having a 3 mana 12 dmg burn in hand that also buffs your elementals by +2/+2 can be game winning.
The new [[Elemental of Madness]] is a super flexible card that synergises with the Herald minions as it gains their attack buff before discovering a spell. It also allows you to grab some spell schools you typically don't have access to, to double up with Therazane or activate [[Scorchfist Scholar]]. Or simply gamble for an answer you need atm.
Is this deck broken? Absolutely not, and there's most likely refinements to be made to this list. Unfortunately I didn't keep a record but I managed to maintain a positive winrate in my climb and while I lost a few matches, it was a steady climb to legend. My MMR isn't the highest either so take all this with a grain of salt, but if you're looking for a fun Shaman deck that isn't Mug'Zee and is running a greedy card like Therazane, give it a try!

I thought it was the story part and not a separate event with card packs.

These are all the different cards that Mimiro can give you to choose from. There are 33 of them in total.

Out of 10 games I play in standard, 9 are against warlock. It's not even annoying, it's BORING.
I'm ranked legend, isn't here people supposed to be skilled enough to play around with decks, try new things, etc? 😑
I hope the balance comes sooner than later, but in the meantime, have anyone tried a deck that goes well against those aggro C'thuns?
EDIT: Do not expect miracles, but Shadow Fatigue Priest doesn't perform bad against them actually. And most important, fun to play!

You can't race it, because of 0 mana 6/9 and 8/7 rushers with lifesteal on turn 4
You can't out-control it because of easy OTK potential
And they always have everything what they need thanks to Sawbones being +4 mana draw 6 cards
Is the only way to beat them is hoping they dont draw Sawbones?

Despite having the perfect hand to deal with the 2x Ritual of C’Thun opening, I had a 0% chance at winning.
The other half of my games are against the DK deck that somehow feels more oppressive than Warlock after turn 4. I don’t know how any deck is supposed to deal with all those buffed sticky minions on top of being able to OTK you.
I’ve been itching to play a card game since LoR PVP support ended and I’m quickly realizing why I stopped playing this. 😢
Has anyone found hard counters to these decks or are we waiting for the devs to wake up?
