My boyfriend and I are nearing our 3 year anniversary!
My boyfriend will celebrate our 3 year anniversary on November 29! He and I were both 14 when we got together and are now both 17. Ik everyone says High School relationships don’t last but he’s my best friend and has seen every side of me and loves me for who I am :) I struggle with multiple mental health issues and he is patient, kind, understanding, and supportive! We communicate with each other when we are unhappy about something and do our best to make changes to behavior that affects the other negatively. We have been through so much together and I’m just so grateful to have him! Although there were literally 30 other people on this trip, we took our first vacation together this past summer— Japan, which was also my first international trip! Some pics from the trip are included, all but the 1st pic. I truly hope that everyone out there finds their person and I hope everyone reading this knows they’re very loved 🫶🥰

I never really realised how much my brother loves being around me.
I have a younger brother, he’s 15, I’m 18. He’s very moody, keeps to himself and brutally honest which can sometimes peeve me off but I love him to bits anyways. He always comes into my room between the hours of 5PM-5AM, ranges literally all the time but we’re both night owls so it’s fine 😭. Sometimes, he takes an interest in my rhythm games that I play and today he came into my room at 4am. He always goes on about school or things he’s getting into lately etc. Today, he took an interest in my charting for said rhythm game, and even wanted me to make a chart for him with a song I really liked which he so happened to know. I used to think it was such a bore being “bothered” by him because I valued my personal space but now I love when he comes in. He was here for like an hour and I could genuinely tell he was getting better at the rhythm game. He’s always so chatty when he’s in here too he’ll talk about anything. I used to tune it out but I don’t understand how I could be so stupid.
I would tell my mother about it, about how he’d bother me when I was on the verge of sleep but since my mum pointed out that he just wants to be in my space and hang out with his big sister I’ve been seeing it differently. I love my brother so much🥹

After years of depression and AuDHD burnout life feels good
I have no one to share so I am sharing here.
I had severe dissociation and mental health struggles which rendered me useless in maintaining friendships, relationships and career. I was at my lowest but I did course in data science some freelance projects then I got a job as a project coordinator at construction company their data reporting channel was non existent so I build entire data architecture from scratch in nine months due to hyper interest in data systems but then I started seeing some signs of AuDHD burnout so I quit my job my mom passed away all my friends left me yet i kept going.
Today I got an upwork contract of $60 per hour and one more invitation to apply for data science trainer and I also started cold DMing people in construction company to pitch them the data system i build and I got one lead in that as well.
Ahhhhh finally life is making sense I am so happy also few weeks ago someone bought a poetry book which I wrote and forgot about it....

I was having one of my worst shifts, and a little girl made my day with one unexpected hug
I was having one of the worst shifts today at the restaurant and was honestly just trying to get through the day. At the end of their meal, I gave a little girl (around 8–10 years old) and her mom their check, and she looked at me and said, “Thank you for your service.” Then, when I reached over to grab something from their table, she randomly gave me a hug. Her mom started laughing, and I couldn’t stop smiling. It might seem like a small thing, but it genuinely made me happy. This little girl probably has no idea how much that simple gesture meant to me.I’ve always loved kids. Their innocence, honesty, and random acts of kindness are just so special. Sometimes they can make your day better without even trying. ❤️

my bf tried doing my ipl routine for the first time and i'm still laughing
just wanted to share this bc i'm dying. last night i was completely dead from work and complaining about my leg hair routine before pool days. out of nowhere my bf goes "i'll do it for u, just lie there."
i literally froze bc this man has never held a women's razor or an ipl device in his entire life. the shaving prep was so chaotic-his hands were shaking around my ankle bones like he was performing open-heart surgery.
then came the actual laser part. since I usually use my ulike on the couch anyway, he grabbed it and officially took over as my spa technician while we watched a movie. we just sat there eating snacks while he stamped my legs, blinking like crazy every single time it flashed Imao. it has a cooling edge so it felt nice after the messy shaving session, but watching him flinch at the light was hilarious.
woke up this morning and realized he missed like three massive patches on the back of my calves (classic), but he's cute so i'll let it slide. 10/10 boyfriend service..

Best anniversary trip we’ve had to date ✨
My fiancé and I had the best anniversary trip we’ve had in a long time this past week! We were able to squeeze in a trip to Gettysburg PA, and it was so much fun.
My fiancé got to get some cool historical relics and we also got to visit a bunch of different historical spots. For me - I finally was able to get a tattoo I’ve been wanting for a very long time, a super cool mosaic lamp which I’ve also been wanting and we got to visit multiple extremely haunted and famous spots!
The picture of me facing the water, was taken at the famous haunted Sachs bridge! Couldn’t have asked for a better time with my love 🧡✨

Fall break road trip, part 2: Indiana Statehouse and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum
1. Indiana Statehouse
The state capitol in downtown Indianapolis. The building is massive in person, with a green copper dome and huge columns. The statue out front is Oliver P. Morton, Indiana’s governor during the Civil War, with two Union soldiers on either side. There was some scaffolding on the side, but it still looked impressive.
2. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum: 1987 March 86C
This was the highlight for me. It’s the car Al Unser Sr. drove to win the 1987 Indy 500, his 4th win. He started 20th, and according to the plaque, Team Penske pulled this car out of a hotel lobby display after another driver crashed in practice, then he went on to win the whole race with it. Such a wild story. The whole Team Penske exhibit is really well done, with cars, trophies, and old race suits.
3. IMS Museum entrance
“Racing Capital of the World.” The museum sits right at the Speedway. Check out the race cars carved out of limestone by the entrance. Definitely worth a visit even if you’re not a huge racing fan.
Kentucky post coming next!

I'm proud of myself, I went through a lot today and pushed myself.
I really needed to get my Jeep tagged and went through inspection and failed from a bad wiper blade. Drove down the street, replaced the wiper and went back through inspection. Failed again for a little side marker light being out. Went back to the auto parts store down the street. Watched some YouTube videos in the parking lot near the entrance and realized I had to tear off the whole front of my car to get to it and almost gave up but I pushed myself and did it anyway. Used their tools even had to take off the bumper and one of the light assemblies. Also I'm a woman.

I got back into my hobbies, like reading and writing!
After a while of not reading any books of mine or writing stories, partly since school's been busy, I've finally garnered the time and energy to do them again! Life's really exponentially better when you're invested in your hobbies.

saw my favorite bird today in real life unexpectedly!!!!
i still can't believe this happened to me, i had the craziest morning and accidentally smoked weed (i smoke lavender and it was mixed, i didn't know) so i kinda started panicking when i realized. i couldn't understand how i didn't notice and felt like i couldn't breathe. i was watching the river trying to calm down with not much faith and noticed there was a bunch of birds.
i thought i was going crazy when i saw my favorite type of swallow flying??? i've never ever seen them before here omg i got so excited, i really thought i was hallucinating lol but it was the best thing ever, i never thought i'd see them in real life, i even have them tattooed.
anyways, i've been having bad months and birds have been cheering me up. this was the craziest thing ever tho, im still really excited and im going to feed them tomorrow. i had to share it somewhere, thanks for reading😄

Half a year with you and many more to come
For the past 6 months I truly believe I have found the one, the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, the one I feel most comfortable with, the one I can go to for anything and everything. I have found myself the perfect man. One that treats me like a princess even when I feel like I don’t deserve it, one that shows me love and care. I never thought that I would be able to find such genuine love and happiness until I met you. Getting to know you has been such a blessing, getting to know every part of you, all the good and bad. It’s been such an amazing journey with you and I can’t wait for more. I can’t wait to hit the one year mark and look back and see how far we have come.

It was so hard, but I did it. I’m finally Tumor free 🥲🥳❤️
I did it. I’m finally cancer-free 🥲🥳❤️
I don’t know if this post belongs here, but I just have to share it.
I’m so happy to have beaten cancer 🥲❤️
When I was 28, an MRI diagnosed a tumor. The tumor markers were negative, so we thought it was benign. Two months later, a PET-CT scan revealed a malignant tumor, and the biopsy confirmed Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a relatively common form of cancer and, fortunately, is very treatable. Still, the treatment was hell. The chemotherapy was so exhausting—it not only destroyed the cancer but also severely weakened my body—and the radiation therapy wasn’t easy either.
But yesterday, after a PET-CT scan, I got the results: I’m cancer-free. 🥲
I’m so incredibly happy. I’m so proud that I stuck with it through it all, and I’m looking toward the future with optimism.
I admire everyone who’s currently battling cancer, and I want to tell you: “You’re a hero—don’t give up.” To everyone who’s currently battling cancer, don’t forget one thing: You’re not alone. ❤️

My boyfriend came over at 11pm to hold me after I woke up from a nightmare. 🖤🌚
I woke up at 11pm a bit shaken from a really horrible nightmare. Texted my boyfriend saying I had a nightmare and that I wished he could hold me as I was a bit freaked out. I always tell him when i have nightmares but I’m fine once I snap out of it and wake up a bit more. But to my surprise, he simply said “okay” and turned up in 10 minutes to wrap me up in his arms and let me burrow into his chest 🥺😭🫶
He’s now snoring next to me in bed 🩷

I did what so many say can't be done and it is such an amazing feeling!
Last October, I (44m) ended a 3 1/2 year relationship two years after moving to her city. Pretty much my entire social life was through her and I didn't really have a plan for the "what now"/"what next" aspect of things. I took a couple months to adjust to the life change and get my bearings before deciding to use dating apps to try to find friends. I wasn't ready to start dating again yet, but I didn't want to live an existence of solitude either. As someone that is pansexual, I was open to meeting people of all gender identities and sexualities and just let things happen organically.
The day I created my first profile, I matched with a woman and we went to dinner that night. That is the night that kicked off the best year of my life. Living in New Orleans, January is when Mardi Gras season is kicking off and she happened to live very near a major parade route. We agreed that I would stay with her for the two weekends leading up to Mardi Gras Day and we had a great time catching all the nearby parades and going to the nearby bars and just living our best lives while building a solid friendship. But she doesn't go to the actual Mardi Gras Day festivities downtown and uses the day to rest.
On Mardi Gras Day, I ended up making plans to meet another woman that just moved here and enjoy all the excitement together. We really hit it off and an immediate connection formed that neither of us could have predicted. We got close and I eventually met her adult daughter.
I kept in daily touch with both of them, hanging out regularly as our schedules aligned. With the understandings that I shared a friendship with each of them, there was no awkwardness when I would mention that I was hanging out with the other. On Easter, the decision was made to introduce them so we could go to the Gay Easter parade together, where we ran into a group of the first one's friends.
The friendships continued to build and a few weeks later, the three of us, the adult daughter, and the group of friends we ran into on Gay Easter ended up hanging out on Bourbon St. And something just clicked all around.
We are still very much friends. We hang out regularly, have a group chat, location tracking, and practically open invitations and offers to crash at each other's places if wanted or needed. We have become family and openly acknowledge our love for each other. For the first time in my life, I feel at home and like I am surrounded by the people that make me feel most comfortable being my best and authentic self. I'm actually about to move into a room in one of their houses while I wait for the one I met Mardi Gras Day's lease to end so we can get a place together, a woman that is now my bestie and that everyone considers my lavender wife.
So many people say that it's impossible to make friends as adults and that men and women can't truly be platonic friends unless at least one of them is completely gay. And to have much of it started through dating apps at that. Well, I'm a middle-aged pansexual man in a fairly newly formed platonic friend group made up of all women of different sexualities and we all love the way things are. There is no awkwardness or tension or anything to be anything other than what we are. Just love and acceptance and memory making with some of the best people I've ever met! And I'm beyond honored that they call me family!
And on the dating front, I'm now in an ENM relationship with a lovely woman that has met my friend group and loves that we have all found each other and they love that I found her. I love my life! Can't wait to see what is next!

I FINALLY GOT A JOB. From crying last week with another denial- to crying tears of joy today.
I finally got a job.
I cannot stop crying! This may sound dramatic, but I did a cross country move to follow my husband and his job. I left behind a very high paying salary and great job to support his career.
I struggled the first 3 months after moving finding work in the new city. I spent so many days crying, feeling useless, getting offers that paid little to nothing, just overall being depressed. I lost so much sense of security within myself. I gained weight. Became unmotivated from consistent denials, I have a bachelors from a great institution and am still young, and would still be denied jobs that didn’t even require degrees. I battle a lot of health issues that take up my time as well, so when looking for work I had to find something that actually fit my lifestyle so I could remain healthy and continue my reoccurring appts etc.
In the midst of all this, I was randomly looking online and one job stood out. I applied. It didn’t have the salary posted. It was fully remote. I wasn’t even qualified but I just shot for the moon I guess-
And this time- I LANDED ON THE MOON!!!!!
I got a job offer today after endless interviews and hard work. I really had to prove and sell myself for the opportunity. Pay is good, fully remote so I can take care of my health still and attend appointments with unlimited PTO. That’s unheard of nowadays! I am truly so beyond happy. I deserve this. I truly deserve this. I put in endless hours upon hours for weeks now. I was so embarrassed telling people I still didn’t have a job. NOW I DO!!! I can celebrate!!! I never want to feel the way I have been ever again and hopefully will never have to.
I just don’t know where else to go to share this. I’m so excited. I feel free again. I feel like I may be getting my spark back. A jobs and job, no one loves working, but it truly is worse feeling like you are stuck and will never get one. I never looked at a job as a blessing until I recognized how difficult it was for someone with plentiful experience to even get one.
I give all my glory to God! Truly! He is the one who did this for me. Last week I was on my bathroom floor crying from a denial I received because I thought I was going to get that job. Today, I am crying, celebrating the fact that I got an offer from a job that is even BETTER than the one I was crying over last week. God is good. Thank you for reading. ❤️
