This has been in the works for months, but it finally came home today.

It started life as a Satin Lambo Orange SL2MG—a guitar that had given me some grief over the couple of years I owned it. After seeing some killer crackle refinishes from a painter I found on Facebook, I decided to go for it. I’d wanted a crackle guitar for a long time, and I’m really happy I did.

It now has a Seymour Duncan Dyad in the bridge and a Sentient in the neck, plus a professional setup. The finish came out incredible, it plays effortlessly, and it sounds even better. I’m finally completely happy with this thing.

This is my new PRS Studio in McCarty Burst. It has a 58/15 LT (Low Turn) humbucker in the bridge, with pull/push coil split on the time pot. The neck and middle pickups are PRS Narrowfield humbuckers, which give you an approximation of a single coil sound, without the 60 cycle hum. The combination of the coil split on the bridge pickup and a 5 way selector switch gives you seven pickup combinations.

Found this in a pawn shop in Greensboro NC for $250 a couple months ago. Whoever had it before put a loaded EMG pickguard in it.

Removed that and went to replacing pickups. After doing some research and realizing I will never have the original pickups and pots, I decided not to go back with Texas specials. They are not what was in his No. 1 nor were they even on the market while he was alive.

I found a set of hand wound pickups modeled after the pickups out of No.1.David Allen Tru59SV's.

I reached out to him and he put a loaded pickguard together for me. Loaded with vintage CTS pots, cloth push back wire and a puretone jack.

Getting it set up now. Still getting the action right then the intonation.

Hagstrom '67 Viking II

Traded my Tokai LS196 for this husk of a guitar. The Gibson definitely looks 1000 times better, but playability wise, plays the same as my Tokai, dare I say maybe not as good (posted this when I just unboxed it, no setup done). Cheers 🍻💥

A 2002 MIJ Charvel Journeyman. Mods... many. Dimarzio Super D w/3 way split, CTS pots, Treble King bleed, gold finish brass appointments everywhere, including back cavity covers. KGC Fat Bottom trem slug, San Dimas straight bar and modern bent bar. Sperzel tuners. This is the one I hope they bury me with. Amazing player.

Seagull Entourage Rustic. The playability is amazing, the quality equally so, the tone balanced and bright, and the price is within any player's budget. One of the best out there. Full stop.

Madrone burl drop top on Sapele uper strat. Torrefied ash neck, ebony fretboard, suhr style headstock. Natural satin Gunstock finish. Hardwear looks less pink more bronze outside of sunlight. technically a work in progress, but still a completed playable guitar as it sits though.

Solid Flame sapele strat (not a top or veneer) torrefied flame maple neck and fretboard. Boiled Linseed oil under satin acrylic. freehanded strat style headstock. Pure linseed oil on the neck an fretboard. Was my irst project from several years ago that actually turned out great. Not perfect for sure, but in person it's one of the most beautiful lookign and feeling guitars ive been around.

Both with pickups i wound myself. Not as refined as some other's custom projects here (Not even close), but i def enjoy starring at them.

Sorry mods, this was the best i could do with the quality of my current phone.

Scored this beast from a friend. Lawsuit era Aria W400M. Brazilian Rosewood. Abalone inlays and trim. Such a beautiful sounding guitar. I have a decent Cole Clark that I paid 3.5k for, and this thing rivals the sound. Super stoked with this thing!

Built to my specs from Jacobs hand built guitars in Miami. All maple ,hand wound pickup, nitrocellulose finish and Floyd Rose 1000 series. Finally the secret sauce for George Lynchs Dokken tooth and nail tone.

I play through a DV Mark Little Jazz and a Line6 Pod 2.0. Sometimes I use a Line6 Dl4 Mk2 for Delay/Reverb. Pretty mich all I need.
