People keep starting new threads every time they see an AI sign or menu, and the discussion is pretty much identical every time.
If you want to shame a business for using AI signs or menus, do it here. Standalone posts about this are being deleted.

What is with all these roadworks going on I understand work needs to be done but come on
I finish work at 22:00 and I usually get home around 22:35 something but now I’m getting home past 23:00.
An extra half hour just going through random places to get home and watching the time on the sat nav say 43 minutes makes my blood boil
Is anyone else being affected by this?? I work late shifts so I can’t avoid it

Looking for recommendations of places like this in Glasgow (churches, stonework, nice backdrops, think cloisters) where I could take photographs freely to practise. Bonus points if they're less well known hidden gems

Is pink pakora sauce dying out in Glasgow?
It used to be standard, but I've ordered an Indian meal tonight from a former pink sauce restaurant and only have the crappy red sauce. I have a good recipe, but other than making it myself, are there still restaurants or takeaways selling it?

I’m a happily single, late 20s female living alone in the city but with the winter approaching I’m looking to see if there are any groups that meet regularly in the evenings for non-sport related social activities? Ideally nothing too expensive. Would consider volunteering.
Edit to add: not a big drinker - I enjoy movies/music/food but would like something more community based rather than individual skill based.

Like the title says, does anyone know where to get a decent tuna steak in Glasgow? I had a look at Gamba and they only do like a sashimi dish

I was wondering if anyone knew of speech therapy for adults for potential facial muscle issues in the Glasgow/South Lanarkshire area.
I can't really describe it other than the left side of my face doesn't keep up with the right while I am speaking. I've started this acting group and they share videos with the group and I didn't realise how profound and noticeable it was until I watched a video back.
I googled, but most private places for adults are for people with more serious illnesses where it impacts swallowing, or they're focused on neurodivergence. Likewise, NHS adult services are more for people with difficulties swallowing, stammering or impediments from neurological conditions like strokes. I just need help in getting the left side of my face to catch up and actually move more like the right.

Hello fellow Glasgow dwellers, hope everyone is having a good day!!
As the title says, I was hoping someone may know of a spot that does a good poutine in Glasgow? I used to go to a place called "Buddys" around the junction of Nithsdale Rd & Pollokshaws Rd but it has been shut for some time and I have had an insatiable hankering for a good poutine for a while now.
I don't mind a little but of travel if required, so surrounding areas would also be good for suggestion. Its payday this weekend and I am determined to scratch this itch. So, any suggestions?

Hey! We are travelling with bunch of friends to Scotland from Canada and will be in Glasgow on Thursday afternoon/early evening before catching train to Edinburgh. We were thinking about hitting pipeworks sauna, but bit worried it will be dead that time of the day. Any thoughts… would you recommend it? We are more muscly/bear types, open minded, but do not want to end up there on our own. Thanks for any advice!

My partner and I are planning to move to Glasgow in January/February.
Issue is, we have two dwarf rabbits and we’re unsure about finding somewhere to rent with them.
Does anyone have experience trying to rent in Glasgow with small pets?😅

Looking to book a one night trip away with my partner. Don’t mind whether it’s a small town or a city, as long as it’s nice and there’s stuff to do, and has somewhere to get some food and drink.
Where is good to go at this time of year? Within 2 or 3 hours of Glasgow and accessible by public transport.

Hi folks. Looking for recommendations for a pub quiz on paper instead of the speed quizzes on phones most of them seem to do! Ideally west end or centre.
Thanks :)

I submitted the enquiry form a while ago with the 2 date options you're allowed to ask for, and in the comment box said "but flexible for any dates in that month". They responded today with a one line email - "we don't have any availability on those 2 dates".
We were hoping for a date in April, and though that 8 months ahead would be sensible given its just the smallest registry office room we were looking for, and we've had friends book registry office weddings in far less time.
Anyone got any experience to share on timelines, communication and availability with the registry offices in town? Maybe I'm being unrealistic.
Our budget is tiny, so we can't afford to book out the normal small venues around the city. Slightly freaking out that we wont' be able to afford any of this.
If you got married on a shoestring, please let me know how you did it!

Have any of youse met someone in person who’s actually called it “the clockwork orange?”
It gets parroted so much in media and tourist guides, but fuck me if I’ve ever heard it been said in person. Cringe a wee bit when I see the words on the page in all honesty.

Thought I (21,M, Paisley uni student) had it all wrapped up until my pal dropped out literally tonight haha. I stay about an hour by train away so while I'm scrambling for a hotel where are the places to be that don't require tickets. I'd have said hive but not friendly enough with any students to invite myself along haha.

Hi, I have not previously posted on this sub, but my friend lost her cat in the Langside area on Saturday the 24th, and this seemed like the best way to spread the word as fast as possible.
His name is Oscar, is a year old, is a sweetheart and an absolute cuddle bug, and was last seen around the afternoon on the 24th.
If anybody lives in and around the area, or knows someone who does, please, please spread the word and keep an eye out!! Please do also check your garages, backyards, and any such small spaces if you live in the area, as he might have crawled in during the storm.
Any information would be much appreciated!

Looking for something to do on Halloween for a single adult. Halloween plans have fallen through and now I have nothing to do Saturday, I'm not a drinker so clubbing/party type events are not for me. I'm not looking to dress up, but maybe an activity or meet up of some sort? Bonus points if there is anything queer specific.
