Anyone know where you can find the small position markers for the controls? Thanks 👍

So my Gibson melody maker is a bit special, the custom aspect of it is the coil splitting and the refinish. I’m happy to share the tone to whoever is interested to hear it!

Can anyone identify the date of this Gibson SG Standard I just bought and maybe give me an estimate of how much it’s worth?
Listing claims a 1970. It looks like it had a Maestro Vibrato to hardtail conversion and some other mods like bridge pickup, tuners and mini toggle switch. Seller also says wiring has been worked on before.

picked up the guitar at 12 years old and immediately became fascinated with Les Pauls. growing up low income only made that dream feel unrealistic. I’m finally in a place in my life where i am able to afford “the one”. took 14 years to finally own one. To be honest i cried my eyes out. Yes, theres “technically” better guitars for the money out there but this one is for my inner child. So happy to finally be a part of this community

I got this les paul studio last week. Got it cleaned up, and put it back together. In order to get the strings to not touch the bridge I had to raise the tail up this high.
Does it look right?
If I bring it down just off the body, the strings are touching the back of the bridge hard and if i lower the bridge the strings are practically laying on the frets.
Give me some setup tips for the les paul.

What best guess on what this is worth? I have had it for about 20years. It was toured pretty hard and definitely well played.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a bridge pickup recommendation for my Burny RLC-70 Les Paul. So far, I’ve tried two pickups on opposite ends of the spectrum:
I've realized I'm looking for a middle ground between the stock PAF and the JB—specifically something with strong low-mids and mid-range punch.
I primarily play metal, but more on the dynamic, tone-focused side of things (bands like Converge, Russian Circles, Elder, Tool, etc.).
Does anyone have a solid recommendation that fits this description?
Only constraint: No DiMarzio recommendations, please! I'm looking for traditional screw/slug polepieces to match the visual vibe of the stock neck pickup (ruling out hex polepieces).
Thanks in advance!

Picked this up for a deal, always wanted one and absolutely over the moon about it! Love a Norlin Era goodie
What are the odds of this being legit? Those are the pics the owner sent me. Thanks in advance
If budget is not an issue, which one would you end up buying? The 60s or the studio?

Im a metal, hard rock, j rock player, and have rocked a strat for the last decade. About 1 month ago i got the flying v pictured, and knew my hands preferred a wide fretboard with a 24 75 scale
I found a 2011 les paul studio and was blown away by the playability... however I got concerned about it being 15 years old, considering im a heavy heavy bend player
Found a 2021 les paul modern for 890, and at that point I said f*** it and set my sights on the 1599 2026 studio.
However, I saw this one, I prefer non gloss finishes, and the action on it was sooo pristine. Had to buy it.
BTW the soft case they give you is top tier.

First… i know this is personal preference, use your ears, what feels right to you.
This post is not “what is best”
I am curious about your gibson pickups and where they stray away from factory spec. Some like higher some like lower, some maybe have never really touched pickups and love the tone however it came. Im not asking even for measurements i am just curious where your Gibson pickups have moved over time. I thought it would be a cool discussion to have
Personally i go low enough to start getting a thinner tone, not as full as my ears like, and then a half turn higher until i hear that full tone click. I find it interesting going a half turn higher each play test, it seems apparent when that “click” happens, lower than that and its a touch thin, higher than that it gets too rounded and looses articulation
Interested to hear what others experience is compared to stock pickup heights
