34M back in Geneva after 8 years abroad, looking to expand my circle

Hey Geneva,

I recently moved back after spending around 8 years abroad, mostly in Vietnam, and I'm slowly rebuilding my life here.

I already have some really good friends in Geneva, but I realised I dont have that many people around me who share some of the things I'm into. I also spent so long speaking English everyday that I kinda miss having an international / english speaking circle around me.

I'm 34M, probably still a kid at heart, and into way too many things x) Cycling (road/gravel), gym/bodybuilding, photography, filming/editing little videos, coding and building random projects, tech, walking around the city with a camera, eating good food etc.

Would be cool to meet some new people who are into similar stuff. Could be for a ride, gym session, shooting something together, working on projects over coffee or honestly just grabbing a drink and talking shit.

French or English is totally fine.

Also dont really mind sharing my insta by DM if people want to know whats hiding behind this reddit account before meeting.

So yeah, if any of that sounds like your kind of thing, say hi :)

Breakfast burritos in geneva?

i’m not sure how much of a longshot this is, but i’m wondering if there are any places in geneva that serve breakfast burritos? When i was back home in north america i always loved a good breakfast burrito, with some spicy chorizo, avocado, egg, and other good things.

though i would settle for any recommendations for a good breakfast sandwich.

Can I(22,F) get a part-time job as a student?

I'm going to stay in Geneva for the next 3 months. I am fluent in English but not so in French. I'm a student from India. The UN internship only offers accommodation and food, so I need money to sustain myself. Please also provide the apps or the ways through which I can explore the job market. Your help would mean the world to me.

I had discovered this concept of abo+ not a long time ago. I gonna buy my one year abonnement for the TPG soon. Do you know if and how I can get a discount for that? 5% of 500.- are still 25.- so why not using it?

Is there a day time karaoke place in Geneva?

I actually want to go to Karaoke - not to have a good drunken time with my friends - but to practice my singing in a place outside my home and maybe interact with some strangers with the same passion as me.

Is there a place in Geneva where this is possible?

Servette ice hockey (women's) tonight

Hello! In my quest to be a better 'villager' in this community and offer up some cool activities if anyone wants to meet in a small group.

For a dark, rainy weekend I am going to go watch the women's ice hockey tonight in Geneva at vernets Ice rink at 5.45pm...

If anyone wants to meet up to watch some ice hockey, figure out the rules, get a hot drink etc.

PC Repair Shop

Hello good people of Geneva!

I’m looking for a decent PC repair shop that can handle cleaning and some technical stuff (fan replacement etc.) and speaks English (my French sucks).

Does anyone have a place they’d actually trust? The build is high-end so I want to be careful about where it goes. Bonus if you remember roughly what you paid.

Thanks in advance!

Craft store in Geneva?

I really like to make props and costumes, but it seems hard to find materials in Geneva. There really aren’t that much art stores, and art stores have little good material for costume making.
I know there is like an art store called astuce in Geneva, but it’s not much good, are there any actually craft stores with materials like foam and foam clay?
Or is the only way to buy this stuff, online?

Rainy day activities

Hi everyone!
I will spend this weekend in Geneva and unfortunately it seems it will be raining!

I will be there with a girl I’m dating so do you have some suggestion to spend time indoor to spend the day while having fun or enjoy some experience?

Thank you very much!
