Help Need help with displaying

Post image
• Upvotes

Title checks out. I got back to collecting last week ago and expanded my collection I've buried in a box under my bed.

I want to display what I have. But I'm not sure as in how. Ofcourse a bookshelf would be an option. But do any of you have any other options in mind?

I especially want to display the playthrough-books / comics I have and I don't want to lay anything down.

Thx!

Collection The Game Doctor sf7 (copier from the 90s) could play games from floppy with special chips like the DSP1 by lending the processing power from a "zombie" cartridge. This way, I'm able to play Pilotwings in English with the famicom cartridge

Help Need recs for modern physical games that only came out in Japan

My Japan trip is ending in a few days and I’ll return to the US. So far I bought FFX/X-2 HD and One Piece Grand Gourmet for Switch 2 since they didn’t get released physically in the west. What are some other modern (not interested in anything retro) games that I should pick up while I’m here?

Mainly looking for:
-games that also released digitally in the US so that the Japanese versions will still play in English
-PS3/4/5 + Switch 1/2

Any recommendations are appreciated!

I played both games years ago. But didn’t bother with different endings and such. Now I want to experience them in full! TMaybe even get the plat!

Also I’m glad to have them back in my collection. Will not sell them off to fast this time!

Wow!
In hand they feel incredible.
In shelf they look gorgeous!
And I’m reminded of Japanese SNES games! The card box games with the beautiful art.

Also love what they did with the spines. You can choose the art or plain red with the # of the SRG release.

As my Switch 2 Zelda Edition was delayed till Christmas (😭 I hope they won’t cancel it altogether!), I won’t open them. So no images from the inside, sorry.

I’m a little disappointed in the wrapping (first picture) compared to the wrapping they’ve done before (and maybe still do for Switch 1 games, idk). As a comparison look at the last two pictures of “Evoland”.

But gotta say that if the trade of for the ugly standard wrapping are the beautiful cart boxes around the games - I’ll take it! If that’s what they’ll do to all Switch 2 games, I’m seriously considering getting a full collection over the years - all the SRG releases. They’re just that beautiful!

Splatoon Raiders was a gift from my brother!

Otherwise everything else was a gift to myself throughout the month with ebay and Little King's Story was actually the most expensive at $38. 😯

So excluding Little King's and Splatoon Raiders, everything else was between $21-$30 after tax and shipping. Such a rush to get good deals! 😤

Help How do you know what to and not to get¿

So I’ve been building my gaming collection for a while now, I don’t just collect I also play everything I’ve never added anything that didn’t work (I never understood why ppl did) and I got quite a good amount of games, a lot of modern and retro (I still have a huge backlog😭)
My dilemma is idk wether to get all versions of games, like I’ve been thinking I have an o.g Xbox so it feels required to own original Halo but I’m the type to get a whole series not just pick and choose so I’d have to get all of them however I own the Master chief collection
Before I would’ve just gotten the originals anyway but now I’ve been thinking on wether it’s worth it to have both versions
Another example is the metal gear solid collection which comes with the first 3 games in a bundle, idk if i should get a collection of them or try to find the original ones

I’ve notice retro/modern-ish games are getting re-releases and I’ve been one for playing the classics/originals for the feels yk
This is my issue idk if others had something similar but I guess I just wanted to vent a little and seek a possible solution 🤷‍♂️

havent found any good deals EVER on FBM but this is the first of many now!

Collection Classic era Fire Emblem collection

Post image

I've had these since their release dates or close enough to it. Idk how they lasted in fantastic shape considering how many times I've moved since owning them. Because the fire emblem subreddit decided to lack reading comprehension I do have a question: did Radiant Dawn get a reprint? I've seen sources on reddit that it was but I've never was aware of it. I'm also confused on the book prices. On eBay they are massively inflated at 280-300 dollars! But on mandarake it's a much more reasonable 9,000 yen. Is there a reason for the discrepancy?

A buddy of mine managed to snag a copy for me while he was at NYCC, and my display for it finally came in. Super excited to have it up on my wall (I have a standard edition as well, for actual listening reasons)

Discussion Collecting For The Switch 2 Is Dead In The Water? (GKC And The Future)

Considering how many games have been released as Game Key Card (GKC), is collecting for the Switch 2 a bad choice? I prefer to collect physical copies of games, and it seems like the Switch 2 would be a poor console to collect for considering how many games have been and still are released on GKC.

While some first party titles do get proper cart releases, they seem to be in the minority. Between PlayStation going full digital and the Switch 2 having code in box and GKC, the future seems bleak.

What is your opinion?

I’m all out of room on my Switch shelf after this one. Hopefully nothing I deem mandatory will come up but I have been side eyeing the MGS Collection Vol. 2 as well as Corpse Party 2 coming out later. Ah well, I’ll figure something out.

Found this blessing. Nintendo Wii with no cables and no controller. However; I tested it and works not just perfectly but it also includes a 2gb sd card, the disc “Epic Mickey 2” and it also has homebrew enabled.🎉 I will research more on how to use the homebrew.

(They gave me this Top Spin 3 game for free as there is a promotion going in the store.🎊)
