Need some advice on how to repair barstool
The piece that is under the chair that all the legs connect to snapped in half on one of the sides. Is wood glue enough to salvage this? Or is it unsafe since it holds one of the legs?

Alternatives to Screws being to long for adjustable height legs into IKEA drawer since it will poke through, would shorter screws be safe in this situation or bracket & washers, open to all ideas

How would you repair this table top?
Got this table second-hand, knowing the damage. I was the one to take a box cutter and evenly cut the veneer (?) as you see pictured. (I'm no wood expert, so I assume it's veneer) The damage was already pretty large, and for my sanity, I decided to chip away more to make it even.
Initially, I was thinking of using contact paper that I already had with similar stain coloring, but after testing on smaller damages (you can see them in some pics), I knew it wasn't going to look right. Not to mention, the missing veneer surface is currently very uneven and can get pretty dusty if I were to continue to chip away at the material - so confirming even more that contact paper would enhance the uneven flaw and look fake.
I've watched a few YouTube videos which were a little helpful, but I wanted to post here to see other POV's on how you think I should repair this bigger missing piece. What would you do to repair this? Wood putty? Bondo > Sand > gel wood stain? Trying to make this as DIY and budget-friendly as possible.
In my opinion, the difficult problem would be matching the wood color/grain/pattern that this table has.
GIVE ME TIPS AND TRICKS PLEASE!

I accidentally reclined too far back on my office chair and the back fell off due to the inserts connecting the back - snapping. Any ideas how to fix this? How do I identify the inserts! Thanks!

How would you fix these wobbly legs on this coffee table?
Just bought this coffee table to refinish. There are no rails, and the legs are wobbly. It looks like there is maybe a single dowel between the table top and each leg. Would you just glue to fix? Or is there a better way to strengthen it without having to build rails or modify the table?

IKEA Detolf Replacement base and Dimensions
Ok i was recently considering to replace my IKEA Detolf base (18717) as it was soaked in water and crumbling like pastry.
I have read around about ways to do it such as DIY boards and getting it done by nearby woodwork factories, or online specialists. So i went to ask for a few quotes online. The prices quoted were high, like $150 (SGD) and $500 (SGD) for a large marine plywood.
Long story short, the general advice is true. It is cheaper and less effort to buy a new one, or pick one up from the second hand marketplace such as carousell/ facebook. It will only cost you $30 or $40 / excluding delivery*.
And just in case someone decides to do a custom base replacement, here are the dimensions!
(*It was hard to find details for old detolfs so i made this measurement thingy with chatgpt, if the outer dimensions and holes are at the same spot... its probably the same!)

URGENT I broke the armrest on our sofa and my girlfriend pissed
This is the inside of the armrest and the board is caved in. I haven't taken off the fabric yet, only the dust fabric under the couch. Is there anyway to flatten and glue this without taking the fabric off?
Help appreciated!!!

Looking for tips on how to preserve IKEA solid wood furniture
I got a STOREMOLLA dresser from IKEA in the gray brown stain finish. It’s a study dresser with several solid real wood components.
The care instructions say to only wipe it down with a damp cloth so I’ll do that.
But I’m afraid of the wood getting scratched. Is it possible to varnish this or put on a conditioner and polish the wood? Or any other method to preserve the wood?
The wood is solid pine. For some parts, the manual says the wood has clear acrylic lacquer.
Any tips are welcome thank you!

Is it mold? If so how do I fix?
Got a used dining table made of cherry. The back of the table looks like mold? Does anyone have any advice
Unsure how to restore. Thanks in advance
Edit: thanks for the replies everyone! This is really helpful and a relief to know it’s not mold. This makes sense. Yes, it is not soft

How to fix chair rib
One of the ribs broken in half. Tried to just glue it with carpenters glue, but that didn’t hold well. I guess some clamping is required, but not sure on how to do that. Any advice would be appreciated.

Does anyone own an Ashley Furniture D346-225 dining chair? Need replacement parts
I’m trying to repair chairs from an Ashley Furniture D346-225 dining set.
Ashley confirmed that the model has been discontinued, and their customer service department no longer has information or replacement parts available.
I specifically need:
The original feet or plastic glides that fit into the bottom of the metal chair legs.
The screws and washers that attach the legs to the metal chair frames.
Does anyone own this exact chair or have an old assembly manual, hardware list, or leftover parts?
I’d especially appreciate pictures, measurements, screw sizes, or links to compatible replacements.
Here’s a listing for the original dining set:

Dining chair help
Good morning Dads!
I need your help, guidance, or expertise. S little context for the situation, i bought a dining room set that it was the floor model because only 1 of the chairs had a crack in it, not to be cheap or anything only that i am active military E-4, 4 years now in November, and looking to save money when i can. I bought the 2 Clamps(harbor freight) as you can see and some glue(gorilla), so would that be enough to make a good fix for the chair so a person could sit on it normally, would i need to something else? Any help would be deeply appreciated as i never worked with wood. Thanks in advance, and hope you enjoy your weekend.
